I agree with it. I think it happened to Ronda too. Spent more time doing publicity and making Dana/UFC money than training and it ended up costing both fights.

I agree. Media and promoting the fight can be stressful & exhausting I'm sure which in return hinders your training.

I agree with his concern, but it's also what he signed up for. Fighting in the UFC involves promotion which is how they can afford to pay fighters as much as they do. If Conor wants to just train and fight with no promotion, then he'll have to take a huge cut in pay. Personally, I would prefer to just watch them fight, but the game is what it is.
 
Conor only beat Aldo because he took advantage of all the promotion time to f$## with his head. Now he wants to bite the hand that made him?

I think Aldo just sorta left himself open and got Molly whopped lol. Conor talks **** regardless but he has been spending more and more time doing promotional stuff for UFC.

Anyway, it's now Cormier vs Jones.

Anything is possible, but that doesn't seem like his style. Old Jones would have just tried to destroy both of them. I think what we saw was real and could be a result of a million different factors. His biggest obstacle is going to be getting his head back where it once was, but he has to know that if he loses, he's only going to get so many chances. People were screaming GOAT (Dana included) after like 2 fights and that kind of pressure can either work for you or against you. For Jones, it seemed to work for him, but that ego went far beyond the octagon. Personally, I want Cormier to win and think that he will.

Unless the whole thing was just a WWE style move to get more attention - which it did magnificently.......as you say ANYTHING is possible....

I think it's legit. At this point they've probably driven a lot of people away, especially people that buy tickets to see it live.
 
Connor won't be fighting, Nate already took off to. If they let him fight it could open them up to a lawsuit from Nick Diaz, I don't think he is the type to sue, but it would leave a chance of happening. Right now UFC has to stick it out , if not for the precedence set then because they seem to be losing some ground to fighter popularity.

True, but I think the UFC is questioning if he's as good as they have been hoping and betting. I don't think he is. He's a great fighter, but it's been such a short time to be getting the praise he gets imho.

He might have had a different result if he pulled this before losing.
 
Even the prelims look good. Seems like lately there would be one fight that I was interested in and a bunch of extras, but this looks awesome.

Honestly! His record the first go round in the UFC was barely over 500. Every fight he won took at least six rounds and every fight he lost, he lost in the first round. And that was back when the UFC didn't really have a heavy weight class, they were just people slightly to heavy to be in light heavy weight. Now though they have some seriously good heavy weights, he doesn't stand a chance.

Don't get me wrong I am a HUGE Mark Hunt fan, but I feel the Brock we are getting is 100% Brock

Still, I will LOVE IT when Hunt punches Brock in the face and Brock freaks out, because Brock cannot take a punch

What iam amazed by is how did brok get exempt from testing?

When you come out of RETIREMENT you have to tell the USADA so that they know 4 months ahead of time, Brock told them with 4 weeks till the fight (were Dana and Brock talking about this WAY before it was announced, yet at least 5 months ahead of time)

But to say Brock is gonna be juiced to the gills prior to the fight and not be tested is wrong and silly
 
Look at Brock during wrestling and then coming into the UFC lol looks like a completely different person. Articles keep saying he's 10 percent bodyfat. He's way more than 10 percent lol. He went from jacked as **** to super soft

Think he's claiming spiked supplement. Trying to use a loophole that Romero used. Might get him a reduced suspension if they can prov it.

First one was out of competition and didn't have formal sanctions since it wasn't a PED. He will likely have to serve the entire two years with zero leniency.
 
I can't believe someone with talent he has is that dumb especially after the fact he said that he beat him while in his "partying prime" he'd beat again no problem and goes and gets popped
