precontest supp thread

I just realized that I'm now weighing about the same as I did when the year started. Here's my pic from January 26th.. so in roughly 9 months - despite doing a show (172 bw) & a couple injuries that slowed me down this summer - I've went from this shape to the above, running the USP line. Nice results imo..

Ain't been around much or commented in your log man but i hope everything is still clicking along great! Thats some amazing progress

Thanks bro. Yeah I haven't seen you in a minute, where ya been?

Training-wise, things are good, I'm in a nice growth phase right now, looking forward to getting some more grow on as the winter months commence!

Training-wise, things are good, I'm in a nice growth phase right now, looking forward to getting some more grow on as the winter months commence!

School has been kicking my butt lately...lots of exams and stuff and some other school related complications keeping me busy. Haven't missed the gym much tho so thats a plus!

I would rather make gains like that then lift more weight.
Hoping to find out in when the prep begins, LOL

Again, great job Steve.

DEF. appreciated bro! My training past 6 weeks has been geared more to development rather than strength, especially with the little nicks & pains I've had. I've been utilizing tri-sets here recently, using 3 diff. exercises & rep ranges, all for the same bodypart -- 5-8 reps for the 1st exercise, 10-12 reps 2nd exercise, and 16-20 reps for the 3rd exercise. Rest 2 minutes, then run it again. It's been an interesting schematic, definitely some results, but not really geared to strength. But the weights have been going up, and strength is still pretty good - I feel good anyway!

Following up on last post: will begin a hardcaore power/strength scheme starting Monday, ready to get it on. I think all my tender spots have healed sufficiently to rock & roll. Today was supposed to be an off day, but decided to do something different for my last super/tri set schematic for awhile..

So it was very basic, but I've never done this combo before.

DB Jump Squats x 12 ss w/
DB Romanian Deads x 15

4 sets, 2 minutes rest between sets, followed by

Leg Extensions x 20 ss w/
Lying Leg Curls x 12

3 sets, 2 minutes rest between sets, followed by

15 minutes steady-state cardio

Legs are pumped! Haven't been able to do DB jump squats due to tenderness in my R knee on the landing portion, but no issues today. Ready to get some heavy weights on, got an appointment with some PR's!

Thought I'd throw a recipe out, this has become one of my favs recently..

Stir-fry broccoli, made in 1/2 TBS garlic olive oil, then add in some seafood mix (I'm on a surimi/octopus/shrimp/squid kick at the moment), add couple dashes of lemon juice, shake of salt, couple shakes black pepper, couple shakes cayenne pepper, couple dashes of soy sauce; then when done and on plate, top with 1 TBS of Udo's Oil. Place over a bed of 1/2 cup brown rice, and voila! Tastiness..

(I didn't start my rice in time, so my mix was done first here, that's why my rice was on the side in this pic.)

Wow. This looks great.

Glad the meal inspired you guys there..

Upping the Prime tomorrow to 4 caps 3x daily, gonna rock out Doug Miller-style thru the end of the month, at which time it'll be time to cycle off. I'm cycling off pretty much everything (except for Pslin, AP & Cissus), shooting for 8 weeks, time to reset all systems. I'm even gonna attempt to give up my morning cup of java, totally cycle off caffeine (at least for 4 weeks there).. we'll see how that goes..

Another food pic.. my postworkout meal (following my postworkout shake, which was 1 banana, 1/2 cup oats, 1 scoop WMS, 2 scoops protein).. simple yet effective: 2 whole eggs, 8 egg whites, scrambled up with 2 pieces of Ezekiel 4:9 flourless bread on the side (I toast it crispy & eat it plain), macros 50g protein/30g carbs/13g fat, 435 cals..

Jacob has thrown a wrench in my plans with the release of the new Jacked product.. still planning on going stim-free starting Dec. 1st (along w/ everything else), but I'll only do 4 weeks of that, then I'll bring Jacked into play for the new year (while still cycled off everything else for the month of January). Anxious to check this stuff out.. In the meantime, for a little preworkout boost I'll be using only 2ml sublingual liquid B-12 complex, this works pretty well for me.

USPlabs demo at Joliet, IL GNC December 6-7

I know it’s short notice, but if anyone is in the Joliet, IL area and can get to the Mall Road GNC either this Saturday or Sunday from 12-6p, I’d love to meet you! I’ll be in there talking about the USP line of supps; touch on the new Jacked! product; have some product samples to pass around; and just share some insights & strategies, so swing on by and we’ll chat!

Update: In cruising/shutdown mode right now.. I was s'posed to take this last week off, but I ended up working out everyday but Wednesday, running hi-rep/lighter-weight low-rest schemes. Some pain again in my knees, getting ready to throw a mad SuperCissus dosing run at it again, also going to take some forced rest this week and just do some light cardio & abs to tighten things up, rest the joints a bit, and come back chomping at the bit! Thinking I'll run an every-other-day split-routine when I start rocking again.. and I've got a mad stack formulating in my mind to start in January (I know, I know - I said 8 weeks off everything, but 4.5 will have to suffice). I really miss my supps! Workouts have still been pretty decent, but I notice a hit in stamina for sure. All I've got powering my workouts this month is liquid B-12 complex & 1 small cup of coffee (I took a week off from coffee..that was enough). Strength has taken a hit too, but since I'm working with lighter weights in cruise fashion anyway this hasn't had much impact on me..

Alright.. so check this out: Got my Jacked yesterday, and so I've been hearing all the raves about the stuff.. I figured I have a little look-see this morning, figured A) since I'm off all supps, it'd give me a good isolated response; and B) it would power my planned cardio session (since I'm not weight training this week..)

Well, so much for that. I dosed 3 scoops, and got so wired up I had to go hit some heavy iron.. busted out sets of 3's on flat bench, 3's on bent rows, 5x5 on shoulder presses.. 5x5 on weighted pull-ups.. got some arm work in as well, totally hammered my upper body. Since I've been playing with lighter weight recently, it felt goooood to manhandle some sh!t, I was all zoned in!

Very impressed Jacob!! And such a clean matrix too..

Now I don't know what to do.. half the reason I was taking forced rest was for mental recharge, I had just lost the extra drive I thrive on. That missing drive was there today.. soooo, I'm thinking maybe I'll start this new routine a little earlier than planned..

1 PowerFULL, 1 AP, 2 PSlin, 2 Jacked. I figured you were putting that in for next month, but it will sure be utilized soon - I plan on bumping to 18/day eventually for a massive therapeutic effect -- as well as the side benefit of the anabolic effect at that dosage! :D

Ball's in your court Mr. Mullitia.. obviously I'd like to have the extra on hand sooner rather than later, as I'll be using it. Either way, I'll be utilizing the planned dosage -- I'm anxious to put my leg issues to rest once & for all! Every time I run a mega-dosing schematic, all issues go away.. then I run out, and I aggravate something again, somehow.. it's frustrating..

I was curious, as I could not help but notice that it is very easy to attain and retain a pump on Prime would you consider using it right up to contest time, I know not the best time for experimentation but....

Ohhhhhhh dude, of course! Yeah, I used it right up thru my contest last April, ridiculous results.. got a PR on incline bench 9 days out from the show too! (I know, I know - not the best time to be hitting heavier weights, but I just felt like a madman at that particular time & had to crush it!)

Yah what I was thinking is... it's always so hard to get and maintain a good pump before going on stage without expending too much energy. Then I think of how easy it is to a) get pumped on prime and b) to maintain that pump longer and just thought it's got to be tailor made for this.

Getting a pump on show day was no issue for me. Prime played a part in that I'm sure, but the Super Secret USPlabs Pslin-powered shake combined with glycerol made the pump silly.

I want the recipe lol, I don't know if I'll compete again but it would be a good trick to know.

I'll defer to the Mullitia on sharing that recipe.. I don't wanna be infringing on some trademarked secret y'know.. :ntome:

Jacked-tastic workout this morning! Was able to do some heavy-ass weight for ATG squats finally! Man, I love me some SuperCissus, every time I am able to mega-dose this stuff I feel sheathed in steel, just indestructible! It is truly amazing.. so the knee pain was non-existent today. Tuesday night I came down with some stomach virus that my kids passed to my wife, who passed it right along to me. Spent all Wednesday puking, ate very little (1/2 a can of chicken noodle soup, a protein shake), just couldn't keep anything down.. better Thursday, didn't work out, couldn't eat like usual.. still have a queasy feeling going on today, and my appetite is totally non-existent, but forcing myself to eat at regular intervals (stomach has shrunk I believe)..

Which brings me to Jacked.. I did not expect much of a workout today, due to being weak and still not 100%. Once I hit my Jacked tho, it was on! I was seriously impressed with the intensity as well as the strength I displayed -- it's been at least a month since I was able to hammer legs like this (due to the knee tenderness), and to do so in a malnourished state (I've lost 10 pounds the last few days).. WOW.

Yah Jacked is a fine supplement, I gotta tell you I had my doubts about me and stims but there is more to jacked than that. There's euphoria and focus. I don't drink but I may use jacked recreationally as it makes me feel so damn good. Look at me lovin a stim product.

The only reason I am considering using over the holiday is that I don't want to lose my tollerance and have trouble sleeping again. As it is I can only use 1 scoop.

One scoop huh DW? Nice for you! Makes the product a ridiculously hella value for you then. I could probably get by with 2 scoops, especially since I've been stim free for awhile now, but this 3 scoop dosing is really setting me off righteously at the moment..

So another Jacked session this morning, utilizing fasted training upon waking (not so much for fat-loss purposes as it was due to stomach still feeling unsettled, didn't feel like eating). Smashed a complete upper-body schematic (chest, shoulders, lats, bi's & tri's using a modified DC-style), finished up with abs. Impressive intensity once again..

Things are coming together in time to start another thread. Once I get over this virus totally, I'll set things up for my next mad stack, which I still plan on beginning January 1st. I'll lay everything out in detail at that point, supps, training, etc. and post a link here..

Yah I am not complaining about being sensitive to stims right about now.. I only use 3 scoops a week that, 15 weeks per tub at 3 tubs makes close to a years worth of jacked for 45 bucks lol ... I probably develop some resistance and have to increase dosage but so far no signs of that.

This is just my luck. I find this thread at the very end! Damn!! :frustrate I'll be back-tracking and reading this one though. From just skimming the last few pages, it looks very interesting.

Any clues on to what this next mad stack might include? Could you just toss us a few bones, eh??!!:D

Let me know when you start up the new thread, and I'll subcribe from the very beginning.

Happy training snagency!! :squat::dl:

Wow thats an awesome transformation, good supps and dedication, along with a good training protocol, can yield outstanding results, im so jealous of your arms, way to go, f you ever have time, maybe you could pm me some advice on arm training, id love to hear your views.
Very inspirational thread buddy, Russian.

Thunder rolling in at the end of the Storm, hahaa..

Would've been nice to have ya along for the ride brother, I'm sure you would've had some keen insight along the way to help me out. It's been an interesting year, lot of learning, overcoming some physical issues along the way, some personal growth.. and what I feel was probably some of my peak muscle development and DEFINITELY some of the strongest lifts I have ever had.

..and so here comes 2009, and it's time to do better..

As for the new stack.. I'm still putting the finishing touches on it, won't be anything earth-shattering, but something I feel to be intellectually instrumental to my goals. Of course, the USP stack will be the base of it all, and Prime will most certainly be in the mix..

Ahaa, my ashwagandha-utilizing friend, nice to see ya!

Sure, we can trade PM's - I'll share my views on arm recruitment (not that you need it), and you can clue me in on how to get to be 6'2" and 210 lbs. at 2% bf!! You're looking great bro, hope all is well with you and your living arrangements, best to ya in the year ahead!

Glad to see the progress Steve! Be well my man.

And thanks for the encouragement.

Been a bit of a roller-coaster year, nice to be ending it on the upside again!
Merry Christmas my man!

And Happy Holidays to all you guys out there in AM-land!
May the spirit & festivities of the season be with you all in abundance, and may the goals & accomplishments of the upcoming year be yours to grasp!
