my 5 rep max in squat is 160kg, I can only do this when I have a good day, on "bad" or average days I can't usually get more than 3

So I was psyching up to do 5 reps, I was well rested and well awake, and I had taken "Anadraulic State", a highly aclaimed pre workout formula

Guess what, I felt hyper but I got only 3 reps

Bottom line, if it doesn't increase strength it is worthless since lifting weights and bodybuilding is all about increasing strength


**** you idiots claiming pre workouts are useful

p.s. I tried 1rm and jack3d with the same effects and I took moderately high doses to be sure I wasn't underdosing AND i rarely use stimulants so i dont have a tolerance
 
lol....Dude ur expecting strength gains from a pre-workout? Its to assist your workout and give u more focus and energy. Im assuming ur workouts suck and either ur a rookie looking for a major change in strength overnight or what not. It dont work that way. You need to put in work and push urself not rely on a pre-workout.

You sound angry. You might want to get that rage checked out by a therapist or possibly a Rageaholic support group. It could become a dibilitating issue in your future.
 
Pre workouts are not to increase strength. They are energy boosters. I myself am not a fan of taking stimulants pre-workout but I understand the purpose behind it.

you seem to have a lot of misconceptions about lifting and supplements in general. No pre workout is goign to magically just make you stronger. It may allow you to workout harder, give you more energy/focus, help with recovery which will lead to strength/size gains.

Also yeah some days you can push harder than others, regardless of what you have done or taken that day, or really even how you feel. Think about it this way, a major league baseball player may feel like ass one day and end up going 4-4, and the next day he may feel phenomenal and strike out 4 straight times. There is nothing that pre determines how much weight your gonna push one day until you get under the weight and push it. also you may have days where you destroy one exercise but suck it up on another, it happens bro

you also seem to think that lifting and body building is all about increasing strength, you are way off base. Lifting weights and body building can be used for many purposes other than increasing strength such as increasing speed, increasing muscular size, decreasing the potential of an injury, losing body fat/burning, or rehabbing an injured muscle.

I'm going to take one for the team here:

A preworkout can have many uses/purposes, depending on the individuals wants and needs. But the common theme is that it is to increase performance. The most common ingredients included are common for a reason: creatine increases strength and you'll lift more; beta alanine increases time to exhaustion; citrulline increases time to exhaustion and ATP; and yes, stims and nootropics can help put you in the zone, particularly if you are a normal person busting ass all day at work. In short, yes; a pre CAN and SHOULD increase your strength. But all the ingredients I listed above, besides citrulline, require regular long term use to become effective, so if you take a single dose, or three, and say it sucks, you're doing it wrong.

If you're taking a pre solely for the stim effect, your choice, but IMO you're doing it wrong (again). Some of the best formulas are totally stim free.
 
Your clearly just not sensitive to stimulants. Stick to the basic creatine, citrulline mallate, and beta alanine. You could even try DAA as a pre workout stimulant. Personally not a fan but it does get the job done

So you can't do 5 reps of 160kg if it's a not a good day, but you blame the pre workout? and not that it was just a bad day?
