Popping hip syndrome

I have had this since I was 15. It develped from track. Apparently its pretty common. Has anyone here experienced this? Its pretty painful. Ive read that doing stretches and taking cissus is the best idea. Any suggestions for what I can do for this problem?
 
I have had this since I was in my mid teens, started during wrestling season iirc. Every once in a while I will feel pressure build up in the joint and when it releases it hurts like hell! I have always wondered about it, but never found anything out.

So, +1 for finding out about it and what helps it if anything.
 
I did some more research and found that doing leg stretches minimize probs with it.
