Planning a CUT

Guys, i need some suggestions with my planned cut.

I just got back from a 6 week vacation, nutrition was crap but got a few lifts once in a while, but got some extra fat gain, and strength losses.
before my vacation i went on a cut and had successful results
i was on IF, CBL and at the same time Carb cycling.
i did P/RR/S training but mixed 5-3-1 principles.

now i'm planning to continue to cut until i can finally see my last 2 abs.
then will clean bulk from there.

i currently weigh 161lbs
5'8" and im gona be 24
started as an ectomorph

calories on moderate days 2700cal
carbs will be clean
Eating will be in IF template (most convenient for my lifestyle)

P: 240g
C: 200g
F: 105g

High carb days

P:240
C: 250
F: 105

Low carb days

P:240
C: 150-170g
F:105

training:
Beyond 5-3-1 principles
4 days a week
HIIT cardio on rest days

since i did 5-3-1 before I loved the strength gains and simplicity of the program.
i weigh 160lbs but out deadlift and out squat my local gym heavyweights. And i love the feeling of being light but can move heavy weights.

supplements
whey protein
pre workout ( either jack3d or c4 the only ones available at the moment)

let's start from there

thoughts, suggestions and anything i should add?

At 5'8" 160lbs I don't think you need a cut. You want abs...keep the diet clean and keep lifting heavy. Toss in some moderate ab work and you'll be golden! If you cut from that weight you are gonna look skinny. Remember, abs on a skinny guy are like big boobs on a fat chick....it doesn't count!!

I suppose, I used to bulk up to 80-85kg then cut down. If i did a cut I'd probably end up at 150lbs. Maybe a recomp? What percentage of your TDEE would you add to keep the bulk steady and clean?

agreed with above. no need to cut with being that small, unless you are prepping for a bodybuilding/physique show. keep with your IF, carb cycling or whatever but try and pack on more muscle. cutting will only slow down your gains.

I'm gonna disagree with everyone in this thread. Cut.

no since bulking on a flabby or fat base. You want to anyways, and summer is coming up.

idk if those macros will work, try it a week... weigh yourself and take a pic.... wait a week and see if there are improvements.... rinse and repeat until you get it.

add in cardio if you need to / fat loss stalls. keep changing the cardio too. your body adapts to it just like anything else.

I have to agree.

Ok.... Not trying to argue here, but not really seeing you guys train of thought. Why burn any small amount of muscle he has with a cut? Lifting heavy while keeping a steady, high protein/macro diet will burn fat AND build muscle. If he cuts he will be TINY!!

I agree 100% . Build more muscle before you attempt a cut. Heavy lifting and clean diet will burn off some of that vacation fat as well as build some much needed muscle.

Now I'm confused! Maybe some photos will help

I think you could get away with a cut, just do it with a slight defecit and don't try to rush it to maintain our muscle mass. Almost more of a recomp

Yup, I won't drop my cal too much on rest days, actually 150g carbs for me is more than enough. Carbs always make me bloat, and i feel I work out better without carbs Pre.
