in regards to using two compounds in the same syringe.. What I do is draw air into the syringe at the dose I want for compound #1, stick the needle in the vial after swabbing, push the air in, and draw the oil up to the desired mark..
now, I pull the needle out, turn it upside down and draw air to represent the next desired dosage for compound #2, plus a little more..
then I take the compound #2 vial and turn it upside down and stick the needle in like that (upside down, so the air is at the luer lock tip) then I push the air into compound #2's vial, almost to the point that the compound #1's oil reaches the luer lock tip (almost to the needle)...
now I can turn the vial and syringe rightside up so I can draw to the desired marking (taking into account compound #1's marking plus compound #2's) and that should be that.
If I have to use 3cc's worth of compounds, then I use my 5cc syringes to allow "breathing room" when drawing, and aspiration room for injecting. Obviously I have to use these for anything 3cc and over.
Sometimes if it is different oils or brands you will see separation in the barrel of the syringe, but that doesn't matter.. oil is oil is oil.
good luck.. it's good to ask questions.. that's how you learn ****.... otherwise you have to go by trial and error like I did..
