According to this article phellodredron is immunosuppressive.
It says that is has useful immunosuppressive properties for organ transplantation. If it allows fewer rejections in lab animals then it has to be suppressing the immune system.
Correct me if I'm wrong but for a healthy individual there are no HEALTHY immunosuppressive actions, it's all bad.

Broad generalizations are a dangerous thing to throw around. Immunosuppression can take many forms from what I understand. You could inhibit the actions of antibodies by some direct mechanism, or you could stop the immuno response somewhere further up the chain such as suppressing inflamation (which phellodendron has been shown to do).

Also it is a matter of degrees. If suppressed 5%, it may not be that important as say suppressing 50%.

Another point is herbal pharmacology. Not all extracts work the same or carry the same chemical properties. Some can be full spectrum, others only a certain fraction. Also the factor of extraction concentrations play a significant role.

I'm not saying the point you have brought up is of no concern, just that more detail and information is needed to drawn your infered conclusion that AP is dangerous.

Where as this may be true of phellodendron, I do not believe it to be so with the extracted portion we are using in AP. I for one have certainly not experienced symptoms of a suppressed immune system. To the contrary actually as I am the only one out of my wife & children who has not come down with ANY of the last few bouts of cold & flu. Not even a sniffle. FWIW

I infered nothing and I surely never infered ANabolic pump was dangerous. I simply stated what I had read and posted the link. I even stated "correct me if I'm wrong".
I've used AP recently and loved the pumps that I received from it.
A friend of mine recently had a liver transplant and they have to keep his immune system suppressed alot with prescription drugs. He can't eat at buffets or get sode from fountain drinks because his immune system is so suppressed he'll get sick from things we take for granted. If phellodendrin immunosuppressive effects are strong enough to stop organ rejection then you have to wonder.

And for the record I infered nothing, just wanted to open this up for discussion and maybe see additional research.

It really all depends on the dosages used not just for this product but for any as sometimes the more you take of something it can change how the body reacts and adapts.

Cissus is similar that if taken at lower doses is very beneficial for the joints but if taken at high doses it then can become more anabolic and not as effective for the joints and can possibly dry them out a little.

The doses that are used in USPlabs products are at an amount to do a specific job within the body and therefore the dosage guidlines should be adhered to.

It is good though to see you doing a little research on products and asking questions too.

Immunosuppression and anti-inflammatory are almost interchangable terms given the close relationship between the processes.

Calming down an overactive immune system via immunomodulation is of great benefit in the treatment of many inflammatory diseases such as RA and ulcerative colitis.
