PH FOR ME?

I am pretty new to the ProHormone part of bodybuilding, and was wondering if someone wanted to go that route, what would be a beginners choice for ProHormones, how long would one need to cycle it, and what to take off cycle and for how long?

Just a bit about myself, working out off and on for 3 years, recently got back on seriously for 6 months, 23 years old 165 lbs, and 5'11.

Well, I've never done any prohormones, so I'm no expert.

That said, you could probably do yourself a favor by getting your diet and training completely in order before you dabble with something like prohormones, which are essentially steroids. They can alter your body's natural hormone production and potentially throw a lot of things out of whack. The risk you take is that you may balloon up for a few weeks on a PH cycle, and then lose it all in the following weeks because your diet sucks and/or your training methods are poor. Additionally, every time you do a cycle you are suppressing your own system, and hoping it bounces back promptly afterwards. From reading in the PCT section, it doesn't always work like that.

Of course, I'm just making a few assumptions here based on your weight, and I could be way off. What does your diet look like? Do you know how many calories you take in on average? Your breakdown of carbs, fat and protein? If you can't answer that, the diet forum would be a good place to start.

first off, thank you for being smart and asking before taking anything which could screw up your body and then decide to start asking questions.
first off, judging by your weight you could most likely put on more muscle naturally. i would wait a few more years until you think about putting a PH/PS into your body. in that time stick around here and learn all you can about them, so that if you should ever decide to take them, you will have a wealth of knowledge under your belt. work on your diet and getting your training down first, those two things are more important than ANY supplement you could put into your body. hang around the exercise science and nutrition forums. read, ask questions.....

Thanks for the replies, thats what I was thinking, I really don't need the PH cause I know I could put the muscle on naturally with just some Whey and good nutrition [just wanted some thoughts], currently in the morning I eat some oatmeal about 12 tablespoons worth, 3 eggs, lunch is different everyday, but usually chicken breast, green beans, sweet potatoes, and dinner maybe some fish, white rice, peas and carrots....usually its like that.

You gotta eat every 2-3 hours. 3 meals a day won't cut it for adding muscle!! I'm sure you'll put on some good weight if you up the amount of meals you're getting in, goods foods though, not garbage!!

Also, your workouts in the gym are crucial. Avoid only isolation movements and stick to your basic compounds (deadlifts, squats, bench, military press)- this will build overall mass.

If you are wondering if PH's are right for you, then there not.
I'm not trying to sound rude in any way, nor do I meen any disrespect.
But at 5-11 165, and just really getting back into lifting in the last 6 months.
I must say, no. This is not the time to think about PH use.
You can gain alot more with a good diet and a good lifting plan.
Again, not to be rude, but 6 months back into the game?
If I were you I would wait. Due your research, lift hard, eat right and then go from there.

JP.
