PES compared USP Labs Vanilla

I've had USP Labs vanilla and it's great on it's own but the flavor gets kind of lost when mixed in shakes with veggies, PES tends to have stronger flavors and was wondering if anybody has tried both and can compare. Thanks for any feedback.

I prefer the USPLabs Vanilla over PES. USPLabs (IMO) is kind of a combo of cake batter and ice cream. PES seemed like more of a vanilla bean-ish kind of thing. Personally, I thought USPLabs was the stronger flavor.

PES :
Thicker
Denser Vanilla Bean

USP:
Triple Isolate/Thinner
Cake Batter
Sweeter Vanilla

Both are 2 of the best on the market IMO, you can't go wrong with either especially you can find both like $20 a 2lb tub when on sale.
I always have BOTH on hand.

Of course any protein you mix with a ton of veggies may be lost. Use it straight up, or bake with it and its amazing

Great reviews of both products. I’m obviously bias and go with the USPLabs Vanilla Ice-cream! I either take solo or mix with 8-12oz OJ. I don’t venture far off from those combinations- however when I have made mixed berry shakes the flavor is still solid IMO.

I prefer PES taste on their proteins vs most other companies. I also would much rather support PES than USP.

Thanks for the support fellas. I've had both and enjoy them. Of course I have a bias opinion in this. I did have a tub of the USP vanilla that tastes different than the original I had long ago. Was it changed recently?

Well luckily for you and all of us there's plenty of amazing options available in both brands to make up for it!

I got a bit burnt out on vanilla but seeing this thread had me wanting to put an order in soon. Probably been at least 4 months since I've had some. Really love using it with different mixes and for oats.

Right now I'm using PB Cookie. I keep going back to it because its outstanding in my morning oats and also mixed with water. Great for baking also.

I would have to strongly agree that is one of my favorites as well! Currently working on a rotation of chocolate peanut butter cup, white chocolate mint and frosted chocolate cupcake.

Luckily I've managed to have some peanut butter cookie on hand ever since it was released as well because as you said it's so good with everything to do with protein mixing!

Hoping we have some new flavors dropping soon to add to the Select selection! Having a tough time choosing which protein flavor to purchase and consume is not exactly a problem I mind having. The key is to just always have a tub of each to keep the rotation flowing and just let 1 run out here and there when you need a break.

I haven't tried USP Labs vanilla so am not offering a direct comparison. Here is what I know about our vanilla flavour;

We purchased the top ranked vanillas and blind taste tested them with some employees and non affiliated people (The Solution was actually one of them) in silver packets. Ours came out on top so we were confident we had a market leading flavour.

It is very creamy and the only vanilla protein I have actually enjoyed (I voted against ever releasing one because I thought they were all boring, until I tried our early samples lol).

It is one of our milder flavours though so if you are baking with it the flavour won't be as pronounced as something like snickerdoodle or frosted chocolate cupcake. You may need to use more gourmet vanilla Select to account for this, like you would with any vanilla protein.

All Select flavours and sizes can be found for 20% off right now at a large bodybuilding retailer so you can always get a 7 serving tub to try before committing to a bigger tub. :)

This was actually mind opening once you told me what brands were in the grey packets after I tried them all. When someone does not have the tubs in front of them it may alter their thoughts and feedback. After trying them it was pretty clear which one was select and how it stood among the others. Another reason why I deem it one of my favorites of all time, and always have a tub on hand.

Yeah, the results actually surprised me because some people's reviews of certain products were significantly less positive when they didn't know which sample was which.

E.g. one person said brand X was their favourite but when they did blind taste testing they reviewed it as average lol. :)

Now that just seems bias of that person a wee bit then! Man I love so and so brand protein it's by far superior. Blind taste test of that brand and replies well that one is definitely not going to be a popular or favorite for sure. Lol

I felt the exact same way until I tried samples of gourmet vanilla Select. It is very thick and creamy tasting, the only vanilla I have ever really liked.

I am happy to see if it can change your mind as well. If you are happy to leave your thoughts in this thread I can post you a sample. :)

I’ve used both USPlabs vanilla and PES vanilla and find USPlabs to be a better option. I rank it number one because when blended be it veggies, fruit, milk, almond milk, it doesn’t seem to weigh the shake down too much. The flavor profile blends very easy with whatever your making but stays on the sweeter side. I love both but there’s one I never let USPlabs run empty.

Well there is plenty of recipes floating around for both from our good buddy Bob and our PES elite chef Driven. :)

If you have Facebook look up Whey To Bake. It's Drivens page where he posts all types of Select treats.

That cake in the pic looks almost overkill but hot damn I could smash it right now after hitting shoulders and tris! I need carbs!
