Personal Training Cert

Trick question. Which one is better is more reliant on the job you want to get hired to do and what they want or which one fits the niche you want to get in to if you are going to train independently.

Continued learning is most important IMO. In other words get both and others. At this point it probably doesn't matter.

First, what type of training do you want to do? Athletes, house wifes, kids, golfers, elderly, bodybuilders, average gym goer, etc. Figure that out so you can focus on what works for that specialty.

Isn't ISSA a at home exam you take online making it essentially an open box test?

If your goal is to work in a gym then it really doesn't matter. Some gyms might not accept some or be specifically looking for some but that is a rare thing IMO. If you want to be safe and get a cert that all gyms will accept then go ACSM or NSCA. That said, NASM is a good one too that has been gaining more and more popularity as of late
