Penis injury and a whole bunch of problems

Pituitary Gland produces many hormones.
Your higher prolactin level may indicate that all is not well in Pituitary Gland.

Among other pituitary produces LH & FSH, so indirectly bad pituitary may cause low testosterone.

Thing are interlinked.

In post above I listed pituitary hormones and their function.
Here is just short list:

Hormones Produced by the Pituitary Gland

Prolactin
Growth hormone (GH)
Adrenocorticotropin (ACTH)
Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH)
Antidiuretic hormone (ADH)
Luteinizing hormone (LH)
Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)

.................

He should get retested to make sure cause his prolactin level could have returned to normal by now. I tested mine twice the first time I was out of range and the second time it was normal.

theface, you mean ultrasound of my brain?

janz, the person who was suppose to schedule my appointment tells me today she had some procedure done and was busy and would let me know today or tomoorrw about when i would do it. I really think this MRI is useless. Whats the significance of it? Would it confirm something in my brain causes my low testerone, ed , no morning wood and all that?

Did your urologist test you for any damage to the Nerves? Like the Bulburethral reflex test?

No he did not do no bluburethral reflex test. My mri scan will be on wednesday in the morning.

The tests i done are

Blood Test

Urine Test

Nocturnal Test- checked erections at night and confirmed i had erections but they were not 100 percent

Ultrasound of testicles which confirmed varicoceles grade 3

ultrasound of penis which showed normal blood flow but penis was erect but not when it was not erect

This is long thread, I do not remember if you posted results of your Blood and urine tests.
Post link to post where those results are.

Please describe again about penis blood flow.
Penis erect---blood flow ok.
Penis flaccid---blood flow????

Your penis is in good shape. I know, double stream, cosmetics, latter.
Varicocele, either latter or as separate project.
But varicocele makes testis weak, unresponsive.
Your LH is high and testis produced very little testosterone.
You have very little (Thyronine), TotalT3. It should be much higher, 160 or more.
To correct thyroid, at he minimum involves
checking adrenals and eventually supporting them for the extra load they get when you will take thyroid hormones.
You need also better thyroid tests, but as of now I see that you will need Cytomel(T3) for your thyroid. Underline, T3 without T4.
All supported and checked by testing.

Sequence of actions:

Double check prolactin, if still high do pituitary MRI, proceed further per MRI results.

Assuming absence of pituitary tumor I suggest that you do my long list of tests.

Medications that you may need based on current state of knowledge about you

To lower prolactin
To support adrenals
To increase T3
To support testis
To increase testosterone

minerals, vitamins

All this can competently be taken of care by doctor in Fair Lawn that I mentioned earlier, he is located about 1/2 hr from you, door to door.

okay i went to do mri of brain last week and today went to my urologist. As i knew it, he told me the MRI of my brain showed everything was fine. He did another test today with sonogram of my kidneys... i have no fking idea why but he did it and it was normal.

I then asked him about the bulburethral reflex test of my nerves which someone suggested and he told me we did this test already and it was fine. I then asked why i did not do an ultrasound of my penis to check blood flow as someone here suggested when my penis was soft and he said there is no reason to because most people's blood flow of penis will be very little since penis is flaccid.

I also asked him about my penis erections at night again and he told me my penis was erect about 70-80 percent. He did say it was something physical that was wrong.

Then he finally tells me i have 2 options. Its either Cialis or Levitra. I was very upset because i asked him i can't do anything else and he said well you could do injections into penis. I then got prescription for it and my insurance does not cover it. It was for 6 injections and it cost $330. I did not purchase it today though. The urologist told me to come back 2 weeks so he would show me how to inject it.

Then i asked about the varicocele the 3rd time and he tells me that even if i do it, 70 percent of time it would get better and 30 percent nothing would happen. He kept telling me think about it for a while. Well, i thought about it for the last 3 months and not one single thought in my mind said to NOT do it. I even told him i want to have surgery for it even though this and my E.D is not related most likely yet he still said come back in 2 weeks.

Janz, i will give your doctor in Fair Lawn a call tomorrow. Do you know where do i have to go to get a varicocele surgery? I went to 2 urologists already and both of them don't want me to do it and i have the worst one possible which is grade 3 varicocele.

I feel very negative right now because they don't seem to care at all. Anyone can help me or give me some advice? Is really Cialis or Injections my only options now for my E.D? I mean i had a penis injury that injured my penis where i have no more morning wood and my urine split stream right after the accident till not. Also cannot get erections like normal unless i squeeze my legs in. I hate my life right now because i thought i would get some help.

Whatever you do with the doc in fair Lawn,
ask him for the (whole) (complete) (as written) list of blood tests that I posted.
Without results from that list we have not much to talk about.

I am not getting involved with your varicocele, dead end, if it hurts, use tight briefs..

The list is between blue lines, post #44, page #2,

I also asked about my high prolactin level and low Testerone level and he told me let see how it goes as time went on. I mean how long have i been like this? 4-5 years? My testerone level is going to be low and stay low. Why isn't he telling me to take some supplements or anything? This urologist really got on my nerve today.

Most urologists dont give a damn about their patients. This was my 6th visit there already. I have an appointment in 2 weeks to see him so he show me how to inject it but i'm most not likely going to. He wasted so much of my time which was 2 months and did absolutely nothing.

Right now im considering calling Boston Medical. Someone on another forum said that Boston Medical solved his E.D problems with some tests. It cost him $2500 a year including injections but he said it was the best decision he made.

I have $2500 and don't really care about the money now because of my E.D. He told me they do some tests but i am afraid i done those tests already with my urologists.

Can someone tell me if Boston Medical is a good idea since insurance do not cover it?

janz, i checked out the site. I don't want to pay a bunch of money that includes lunch if you know what i mean. Also, most of the people there seem to want to lose weight or other things related to that.

Janz, can you tell me the name of the doctor you are talking about? You gave me the address but i cannot find the name or the phone number?

I was only trying to show you that $2500 does not go to far.
Keep those $$ for a time when you will be fixing your double stream.

It really does not have to be that particular doctor,
but I happen to know that one and he works real good for me.

You seems to be scattered in your thoughts at this time, I do not blame you, lots on your plate.

When you a ready and do not have anybody else, PM me.

But I would hate if you screw around with him.
So look at your options first.

OTOH, I have given you enough information that you can get inside his office.
There is no other doctor there.
So make a trip, look around inside his office, even before you make appointment.
It will take you less than 2 hrs both ways.

janz, can you send me the link to his name and phone number? I cannot find it right now. yes my head is scattered with too many things right now i dont know what to do.

To anyone, whats a good forum for penis questions concerning penis injury? I know this site is more about anti-aging but would like more info.

Try searching some of the Mens Health sites they may have more advice etc. You have had very good response here though.

He resides on Manhattan NYC.
Everything on Manhattan is within 30-45 min distance.
He have a clinic next door.
They do, (specialize in), reconstructive penis surgery.
I posted link and adress there on begining of this thread.
Not sure what he is still searching about.

Okay i went to the endocrinologist today. It was a woman doctor. When i told her my story about my penis injury, she told me to see another urologist when i talked about my symptoms. When i showed her the copy of my varicocele, she said it has to be fixed immediately as recommended me Dr. Nagler in Beth Israel Hospital in New York. She did agree my prolactin is high but my testesterone is still within normal.

She told me to get a copy of the MRI of the brain i had a few weeks ago whether in a CD or the actual images and come back to her in a month.

Does anyone know if it would be possible for me to have reconstructive surgery since I am still young?

okay i did not do the caverject injections. However, i will be doing varicocele surgery in 5 weeks. He told me these injections would solve my problems and it depends on which ones would fit me like caverject, quadmix etc. I also did not want to pay 350 dollars for 6 injections

Tri-Mix might be better its more of a suppository rather than sticking yourself with a needle. It maybe cheaper as well but not for sure.

Guys right now i checked another site like the penis enlargement forums. I recalled i did masturbate and did those penis enlargement exercises during that accident. I remember i was just jelquing but i did not use any lubricant. I always masturbated dry. I did get erect and then i started masturbating and stroking my penis. Then i jelqed while my penis was hard.

I read on that site that if you jelq while your penis is even 50 percent hard it could do damage to the penis. I think my penis was around 90-100 percent hard when i did this. Does anyone know if this sort of injury can be fixed?

You did say before that your pain was in the corpora cavernosa part of the penis correct? Jelqing damage can be reversed but its not easy. It usually takes about 6 months to a year. Did your erections improve any after the varicocele surgery?

I said pain was in the bottom tip left of my penis head. Well the damage i had from it occurred in February 2005 and since then everyday has been horrible. The only difference was that I can actually get some sort of erections about 6.5 months after it. During that whole 6 months though, i could not masturbate nor get any sort of erection.

I have not tried much to get erect after the varicocele surgery. Surgery was 2 weeks ago. I asked my urologist and he said it looks like it is healing but no heavy lifting for one week and to see him again in 6 weeks.

MSL2009, there is a technique to reverse jelquing damage?

There are as far as I know no known surgeries that will reverse jelqing damage. What you have to do is promote blood flow to the penis and also Prostaglandin E1 synthesis in the penis and also loosen the scar tissue. Have you been to the actionlove website? Dr Lin does have a section on his website about Jelqing damage and what you have to do to reverse it. Its no easy process and can take up to a year. You could try his Vip Cream and gradually soften the scare tissue.

How are the reviews on it? Has anyone here actually used it? I split stream my urine and someone tells me there is a scar in the urethra which is why i always split stream. Could this be related to the scar tissue you are talking about?

okay i got my report yesterday with my medical records. I see that from my medical records, it shows me having a 90 on venous leak. Does anyone know what that 90 means? I read online that venous leak can be caused by injury and that jelqing can cause it from what i read. Anyone know anything about this? I read the definition of what a venous leak is and it says you cannot maintain blood in penis which is why you lose an erection and this is what i think might be the problem as well.

Dr Lin's products are about the only ones out there engineered toward penis damage. He has alot of mixed results with the feedback from his customers but everyones situation is not the same. There is not many options except taking herbs combined with vitamins, minerals and amino acids to repair the nerves and veins over a 6 month to a year period keeping a low ejaculation frequency. You will probably have to keep your ejaculations down to once every 7-10 days while doing this to see results.

Heys guys again.

To summarize, I did all those tests. Blood test, urine test, the doppler ultrasound of both my testicles and penis. Also did the nocturnal erection test.

I talked to my urologist today and asked him was the fact that i had to squeeze my legs into my penis to get and maintain an erection venous leak? He said most likely not.

By the way, my injury happened about 5 years ago when i was jelquing/masturbating too hard when all this happened. A doctor i saw later that year told me i had peyronies and told me to take vitamin e for 3 months. Later when i saw him again, he said i had no peyronies. Can a urologist see peyronies in one of those ultrascans?

The urologist i see now tells me i dont have peyronies but i do have a slight curve in my penis. He also told me my problems are physical as shown in the nocturnal erection test. He said ED is caused by either of 2 problems. One is vascular , venous damage and the other is related to the nerves. He tells me he DOES NOT know what is my physical problem. I mean if he did all those tests, is it possible that he cannot find the problem?

Its most likely a combination of nervous damage and collagen scaring in your case. If the nerves are damaged then the tissues will not relax enough for bloodflow to be optimal giving you the same effect as a venous leak. How is your penis sensitivity? Also how is your semen quality when you ejaculate? Is it copious and thick or thin and watery?

What do you mean by penis sensitivity? When flaccid, it is not spongy like it use to be before the injury. Semen quality is very weak. It is thin and watery.

I did the test with the telescope inside my penis today. He checked it and told me he did not see any blockage in the urethra. I always split stream my urine right after the accident. He told me that he would fix my split stream but since he saw nothing inside my penis with the telescope, he saids there is nothing he can fix. Anyone know if this is true or not? Last time he told me varicocele has nothing to do with testesterone and that is false.

I asked my urologist about the venous leak embolization procedure today. I asked him if there were any interventional radiologist he knows that does the procedure with coils. I told him a person online from guy Australia did a surgery from a surgeon and told me about this procedure so I asked my urologist and was succcessful. My urologist told me he did not know because that procedure has a very low success rate according to him. I read about it online and read it was a safe and noninvasive procedure.

Did you know about the success rate of the procedure when the surgeon did it for you? I read online and read that it was a safe procedure though.

I am upset today. No help at all.

I have not had any surgeries at all on my penis and probably never will. I cannot comment on any surgical procedures done directly to the penis. I only have sensitivity on one side of my penis which means my problem is nerve damage and there are no surgeries that will fix that.

I know this thread has been dead for a while but in case any of you three are still kicking around here...

The EXACT same thing happened to me.

I injured myself jelqing/masturbating fully erect and I too have been diagnosed with a grade 3 left sided varicocele and I'm also having trouble getting erections.

If anyone knows what happened with westell or if you're willing to tell me your results so far, please let me know.

Hello, I'm in the same boat but also have had numbness for like 2 years now, only have feeling in the frenulum(underside)-Separate blood supply and in the corona or whatever its called its the ring furthest down around the glans which i think left dorsal artery supply. The rest is numb which indicate damage to the right dorsal artery or nerve (gives peripheral blood and nerve supply to glans surface and skin of shaft), hopefully there is scar tissue only and compression and not lacerated artery or nerves. Flaccid penis is swollen and soft not rigid and discoloration(as in white, less blood flow) also got coldness. Both these arteries are palpable and superficial and should be easily detected as two pulses on either side of glans, scar tissue over these means not only the artery both the accompanied nerve is compressed.

I looked at the bostonvascular (google boston dorsal artery) artiograms for normal blood flow. I think its the way to quickly diagnose arterial issues. Problem is I have to fly across the ocean to get there, In my country(Sweden) there is no urologists that can handle this stuff, they are neanderthals with xxxxx per month of my taxmoney, also I got low testosterone of the mental stress of the situation but only 5% of the men in this country get treatment for hypogonadism, compared to 40-50% women that get estrogen for menopause. Whats making thing worse is that i'm a biomedical analyst doing the labworks doctors orders and know what normal ranges really means its a sample (confidence interval) from a population including people dying and sick old men, then i have to sit listening to their total bull**** of within normal ranges.

Whats making thing worse is that i'm a biomedical analyst doing the labworks doctors orders and know what normal ranges really means its a sample (confidence interval) from a population including people dying and sick old men, then i have to sit listening to their total bull**** of within normal ranges.

The normal response I have for with in the range crap is
"if the shoe fits wear it" Not every one has the same shoe which is comfortable for them
I actually have a friend finishing up med school in a few years over in norway who is also a client of mine. Once she starts practicing you will see a huge shift in how medicine will be administered. I will be working along side of her when she gets her license. Here is the best part of things. She has been through every thing to some degree on a personal level as well as I have. This will give a huge advantage over any other medical professional over in europe..
