Day 57
Coming off of 3rd shift is always great, but at the same time strange. I get a few days of much needed time off (which is the biggest perk obviously), but I never know how my sleep/wake pattern will level out or how to approach that. The reason why I am bringing all of that up at all is that it presents challenges as far as when to dose up on stimulants (Oxymax), when to start tracking calories over again, counting the 4 hour rest I got in the middle of the day as the best power nap ever or the worst night of sleep of the week etc etc. A lot of this probably sounds trivial to the average person, but I am sure that there are a few people out there on the forum that know what I am talking about. Especially the ones that are as obsessive about this lifestyle as I tend to be at times. It is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, attention to detail can make following through on a plan both easier and more effective, on the other you can drive yourself nuts when life doesn't cooperate and go as planned or you get bogged down dwelling on details that don't matter in the grand scheme of things. All of that being said, I am so happy with my decision to get away from my usual routine for a while. I got off of work, packed my things, and went to the gym before driving two hours to my parents house. Had one of the best workouts I have had the entire time I have been logging this. It was GREAT. Left the gym, drove down to my hometown, ate, took my antibiotics and got a couple of hours rest. Afterwards I woke up to find boneless wings and fries from Zaxby's and I have went ape $hit food wise ever since. I have not had fried foods in well over a year. I fell back asleep and have been snacking on fruits and peanut butter while preparing food to cook today. I cut up a bunch of chicken and have it marinating in Italian dressing and I am thawing out a 12 lb. turkey I decided to lug down that my job gave me for Thanksgiving to cook tomorrow. I am going to carve it up and eat as much of it as can through out the week until it goes bad. Rest, food, recovery. It has been a long several months.
Diet:I have no fu<king clue... suffice it to say, A LOT
