Over the Counter AI's vs Prescription AI'S

Hi Everyone, I have searched a lot and can not find anything that can help with a comparison of Over the Counter AI'S like
Formestane
Trione 6-OX
ATD

VS
Aromasin
Arimidex
Letrozole

Can anyone tell me how any of these may compare and the dose equvilents. I am very experienced with the three prescription AI's but want to see how the others compare. Please only experienced users that have used prescriptions reply with actual results.
Thanks!

IMO with the price and power of the generic arimidex, it's a no brainer, why would you even bother with OTC AI's?

Not only that, but it has the studies to back it up by unbiased sources.

Letrozole = too damn powerful IMO unless you're on a high dose of test and even still it's ridiculously strong.. lol

Thanks for your reply. I tend to bloat easy so letro helps me out when I'm really blowing up. Arimidex has been good to me.

I am just trying to see if the otc products compare at all?
So can anyone that has used both otc and script tell me what they think of both?

Thanks

OTC are much much less powerful. A dose of arimidex might be 0.5 mg, whereas you dose 50mg of ATD.

Some OTC's with proper application (e.g. TD formestane) are very useful, but I'd go with adex if I could choose.

yeah, so let say arimidex is 100 times more powerful than atd. So the only difference is dosage in that scenario. Im shure there are other benefits to prescription ai's, but what are they, less side effects?

I've read studies in the past that cite that arimedex lowers all estrogen including the good 2-hydroxy estrogen.

But in terms of products all I've tried were OTC products but AIFM kicks some SERIOUS ass!

It's transdermal ATD/DHEA but it's much more powerful than any oral OTC AI i've tried and on many steriod forums people swear by it. I had a bad case of pubertal gyno and this is currently clearing it up. When I heard that others were using it to reduce/eliminate estrogen related gyno I thought it was bs but decided to give it a try and now 3 months later I'm 70%cleared of the gyno. It also seems to have a stronger inhibition effect at the site which the spray is applied to so I spray it directly on the gyno and it's been working much faster that way. At four sprays a day my libido completely dissapears and the joints get creaky but for others, who i guess have lower estrogen levels, the threshhold is 1 spray or even 1 EOD.

you can find it at www . theafstore . com (no spaces)

You can find tons of info on it at their boards, and other steroid related boards. It's definately worth much more than the 40 bucks I spent on it to me.

I've also heard more than once on other boards that people were comparing mid-high dose(3-6 sprays ED) AIFM to Aromasin so that's something to think about too.

have u tried oral atd as a comparison, is there less side effects from transdermal application?

Yes I've tried oral atd and 6-bromo as far as oral AI's and the transdermal atd(AIFM) blows it out of the water. The sides are definately there though depending on how high you dose and your current estro levels but a little playing around with dosages can fix that.

you can get 4oz of transdermal atd for around $15.

Nice. I'll probably look into that after I'm done with AIFM and see if it's as effective as this. I'm guessing it should be with more ATD and less DHEA, but it seems that this product is well known to work effectively for many people and perhaps the other products don't have as good quality control as this company. But, for all I know it could be an equally effective, cheaper alternative so thanks for pointing that out:thumbsup:

ATD is very similar to exemestane (aromasin) and is dosed similarly. It's pretty good, but has the downside of being anti-androgenic as doses increase.

Formestane and 6-Br are both really mild in terms of side effects, while very effective at lowering estrogen. The only thing is at really high doses (say above 600-800mg) they can start to function as mild prohormones. Not necessarily a bad thing, just FYI.

6-oxo is the more androgenic of the overt-the-counter AI's. It can also function as a mild prohormone at high enough doses (converts to 6-hydroxytest). For whatever reason, it seems to do a better job of elevating levels of DHT than decreasing estrogen.
