THE END RESULTS:

Not sure where I placed just yet but it wasn't top 5. I'll get my score card in a couple days to find out where I placed out of a class of 12. It was tough, you could hear the judges say they were having a hard time with everyone in the bantam. I was up there for the symmetry round for so long! Everyone has the proportion, the design, the right tapers and framework. When it came to symmetry I could run with the best of em.

The problem was the muscularity round: here's where I lost it and there was no way around it. The guys who placed top 5 were in their 50's-60's with the most amazing muscle maturity and conditioning I could never achieve in my mid 20's. The younger guys...hell, even a guy I know in his 30's who's an INBF promoter himself, were no where near these Swiss beasts!

On an individual note: I messed something up on Thursday/Friday. I wasn't as crisp and tight as I was a few days before. My lining just wasnt as intense as I had it. This is the most vascular I've ever achieved and I'm still hurting this morning from my skin feeling so dry. I was pretty lean although I don't know my bodyfat%. My goal is to work on dialing in to get that conditioning (as with everyone else, no problem is nothing new). Every time I do a show I get closer to that goal but it's something my young blood hasn't figured out yet. I would have done a lot better going into the lightweight! I would have placed there for sure, it was closer to my tempo of competitors.

I had fun, it was a great showing. I have a lot to look forward to both for the future off season and next shows. I networked with a couple people about setting up a couple shows in Brooklyn for the upcoming year. I really want to see it happen, I have a great vision for it. In the mean time, gonna do a photo shoot on Tuesday (after I deflate from pizza bloat! lol). Not gonna do the NPC nest week, I just recently signed a new lease to move back to NJ and the move in date is the 15th so I'm packing up as I write this.

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND FOLLOWING THIS JOURNEY! PICTURES TO FOLLOW!

Yeah, I learned a lot on what where my strengths and weaknesses lie for building off season. I also got a lot of great pointers and tips from the pros which I intend to incorporate into my training.

For now I'll be taking a few days rest, cycle off ALL supplementation, and return to eating at maintenance with a balanced macros. For the next few weeks my workouts will be just a rehabilitation to get my weight back to it's regular and rebuild the mass I've lost during the process. And when the scale stops going up...my calories will.

Organic- 1st, congrats on making it through your contest prep through the trials and tribulations of the storm. Some ppl would have given up through all of that, and because you stuck w/ it....well, that shows a lot!! 2nd- it is very refreshing for you to have learned from this experience and realize that nothing can top muscle maturity. You are still young and have plenty of time to add size if that's what you desire. YLately we have seen lot of young guy's/gals that get SO upset after not placing (as high as they would have liked) and frankly their attitudes and egos become horse sh*t!!! Thank you for not being "that guy"!! You will learn as you go and I have a strong feeling that you will ONLY improve over time as you seem to have A LOT drive and determination!!

We will be waiting for pics.....don't forget man!!!

Good job on the whoooooole process though! I know you worked out hard and kept at it with the diet! I'm sure you will do great on future shows!

Maybe next year when I come back to Jersey from vacation we could train together and I could learn some from you. Where you moving to?

Sounds like you had a good learning experience and a fun time. It takes balls to step on stage and get compared while in posing trunks haha! Grats on the new lease and hopefully it benefits your training and lifestyle.

whats the plan now? still keeping contest shape or is it back to off season?

Looked good man. Like everyone said it takes a lot of dedication to even go through the diet to step on stage. Not something a lot of guys can do. You learn everytime you do it, so you'll only get better and better. You gave me the fever again, maybe I'll compete in June. ;)

I'm pretty hard on myself that I didn't place or come looking like some of em but they deserved their win and put in a lot of time I never had yet. I just keep trying. State law says you can't take pictures or video in the casino so I have to wait for the official photographer and I'll request my score card later this week.

Gladly, lets get a lift in. Moving to Hoboken. Move in date is... oh wow... Friday.

I had it in the back of my head to do the NPC next week and hold my shape but it would feel more like a chore than for fun. I'm looking to take some days off then slowly work my way back up to my normal strength and size but not sh*tload up on food to where I get sick. Plus this beer just tastes too damn good. Go Jets!

Done deal. I fought with myself a lot on not doing it but it just comes to commitment. I saw a guy I competed with 2 years ago who's house is literally GONE from the storm. Foundation ruined, ripped up, and he still got on stage. No excuses...ever.

It gave me the drive I need to really push it in the off season to make progress and hawkeye that May/June timeframe. Right now I need some days off to relax, that BeastMode switch is burnt out.

Congrats OS ;)
Thank you, sir.

Close! Train ride for me or 15min drive. Back in 09 I had to go there every week to the clinic when I found out I had tuberculosis. There is a ballys right next to the train station and the college.

I gotta scope out the scene for a gym. I'll probably end up spotting the biggest dude on the street and just asking where he lifts. Sounds good, let me settle in and make it happen.
