Dear good people,

Today, I opened inbox and there was a message from thebigt:
"I need to inform you that Terry passed away on friday,April the 8th"

I knew Terry many years and he was one of the most down to earth. Always positive , kind and always ready to help guy.

One of my last messages to Terry was:
"Haha you nailed it my friend. And I need to say, I am happy to know you Terry. You are a good man , down to earth and big heart. But you have seen the life from all perspectives and that makes you the person you are today my friend."

I looked the messages between us and tears came. This is really really sad.
I will really miss you my friend <3

Terry believed in God and I hope our God, the most merciful the eternally gracious may rest his soul in peace and bless his family <3

The reason this is posted in Supplement section is because this is the one he liked best.

That’s awful. He seemed like a nice guy and was always so helpful to everyone here… condolences to his family. May he Rest In Peace.
 
Thanks for sharing Danes. I loved thebigt. Will greatly miss his contributions to the various forums. Sending tight hugs to his family.
 
ive been on this forum since 2005. Lot of people come and go he was a constant. Hope the best for his family, what a tragedy. Would anyone care to share his obituary if appropriate by his family?
 
How sad his last post on this forum was him talking about spending time with his family.

This just ruined my fukin day, I made a post in one of my threads about how I hadn't seen him make any posts in the past week or so and I had a really bad feeling but then someone informed me he was just on vacation. Then I see this...

Over the past few months I had a lot of conversations with him and he seemed like a very nice guy. I was supposed to send him some fresh jams and stuff I make from my garden when summer rolls around:(
 
Wow. Just wow. I did not expect this.

Thank you for posting. This is a tremendous loss to our community at Anabolic Minds. I'm actually in shock and incredibly saddened. TheBigT was awesome. I hope his family is doing OK (whatever that means during these times). I wonder if there is anything we can do for them.

I just looked too - this makes it even sadder. 3 days before he was on his way to Aruba. Life comes due for us all. Make the most of the days you have.

Oh no! He was a good dude, and a constant here. I hope his family knows he was well loved by many around here.
 
man this shyt hurts real bad and cant believe.

Besides the public posting convo's, i dont think there was ever a holiday esp Xmas/New Years when he didnt take the time out and wished me & family the best of everything and we would exchange convo's from there on

I got a message from his wife I want to share with you guys and I told her that Terry was well loved by many around here. (Like @poison) said

"This is his wife Susan.And im sorry had to let you know this way. He had surgery on April 7th,it went well.But his heart just would not beat on its own after removed him from the bypass machine,they tried everything they could but couldnt get his heart to beat.Put him on life support,but even then wasnt going well.He passed away on april 8th at 3:40 PM."

oh wow not even life support .. even though life support suxs, ive seen my grandparents on life support and when that decision had to be made .. cant imagine what it was for my mom

in BigT case, looks like god needed help asap and he picked a great guy to be alongside helping him.
 
Big T was a U.S. Navy vet and served his country proudly. Wishing you fair winds and following seas, my friend.

Wow. I am at a loss for words. thebigt was so passionate about supplements. This is a major loss for this community. My condolences to his family and friends. RIP.
 
I’m in shock. A great man by any standards who loved the members of AM.
 
I have been a member here a very long time and almost never post but that is just awful. He was a pillar member and a good soul. Very sad news. I will miss his constant talk about Pink Floyd and old tunes. He did not always have the science knowledge on things but spoke from a very personal place and wanted to help people. :( RIP
 
Wow, this one really hits close to home.. As a vet, him & I talked a lot through private messages..

Well this just fucked up my day. BigT was a great rep, but an even better guy.
 
Oh, no.

I realize this is about Terry, and not me, but I am incredibly sad. I never cry, and yet I sensed my eyes welling up. I assumed that it had to be a mistake.

For many years TheBigT and I PM'd one another. We exchanged cellphone numbers and offered to provide support to one another, when it seemed that one of us was going through a difficult time. We shared confidential experiences from the past. I feel kindly towards many people on this forum, but I felt especially "close" to him. We frequently commented that it seemed as if we had several attributes in common and would have really got along well if we had an in-person relationship.

It is a comfort to know that he had a strong faith in God. He was not one to hide that fact. I so very much respect that.

I feel a sense of loss, but that is nothing compared to loss that his wife, children and grandchildren must be going through. I will pray that God provides healing for the family.

I am so sorry about this. I will miss him greatly.

He was definitely one of my best friends on here, and we had many personal conversations over the years. He obviously had many close friends on here..

Odd that he was saying he was going to Aruba on vacation leaving the 6th, but ended up having surgery on the 7th instead? He must have suffered from an acute medical emergency requiring surgical intervention. Very sad and shocking news.

Thanks for everything Terry! You will be missed by all :cry:
 
I am really still at a loss over this. Almost all of my conversations with Terry were on the forum and not in PM - so I wasn't even as close as many of you were to him - but I had a lot of respect for him and his ideas. He was a truly kind person.

I do want to point out - his post count will likely never be met. While I still maintain that I've typed more words than he has; he was (jokingly) looking for an award for 50,000 posts - he certainly deserved it. But what's really impressive is that in addition to all those posts, he had time to have close PM conversations and cell conversations with a bunch of the people on this board. He had time to remember people and check in with them on holidays and events.

In a world where social media has ruined interpersonal communication - it says a lot about him as a person that he leveraged it to that effect and brought that level of caring to people he likely never met face to face.

We were even talking about visiting each other. He come to Norway, me go to US. So sad we didnt got this chance. :cry:

@Danes is there no additional info? He was a marathon runner if I remember correctly. Im shocked that this could be heart related with the shape he had to be in

I always think about that all the time man ..well mainly since SNS injury.

like we are all strangers here and how much we care and open up to each other not just about gym/supplements but lean on each other for life/health.

In real life sometimes your own flesh & blood doesn't care about you and over here people say "feel free to msg me anytime u wanna talk" ..breaks my heart sometimes how close nitted family we have become and growing day by day.
 
RIP Terry (TheBigT). My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Back in the fall Terry helped me put together my spring cutting stack using mainly iconic supplements. Since starting the stack, I’ve had a few people following the thread and Terry was one of them. Always offering advice, and positive feedback on my progress photos, and just adding more fun to the thread with things like discussing good music and tasty cheat meals. He will definitely be missed.

Well, there is a certain cardiopulmonary disease that has been plaguing us for more than two years now that is far from resolved upon cessation of symptoms. It’s a common link between those two deaths and could be an explanation for others who have gone amongst the missing.

Just sayin.. (as T used to say)

T was never afraid to call things like it is..
