Day 52- only like 1 day of osta left in the bottle
Still on a high from benching 225. Wanted to squat max today, but didn't know how the knee would do. The most weight I've ever done is 275 for a couple reps, so I thought my max would be about 300 when I started.
Started warming up, felt good.
225 felt good.
Went to 285 because I didn't know if I could get 315, so I still wanted a new PR.
285 was heavy, but it went right up.
315 felt super heavy, started going down, and it felt so heavy that I went down too fast, and went super deep. Started going back up, and got about 1/3 the way up, and my balance went forward and I went down. Had the safety bars, so no biggie. Kinda pissed, cause I knew I could have gotten it if I didn't go forward. At least my knee felt fine.
To make myself feel better, I broke out my measuring tape to check my progress from my bulk. Here's the results:
Before (173 lbs, 12%bf):
Right arm (non flexed): 12.25"
Right arm (flexed): 13 3/8"
Right thigh (non flexed): 22"
Right calf (non flexed): 14.75
Torso (measured across nipples around chest and arms): 47.25" exhaled
Bench max: sub 200
After (186 Lbs, 14%bf):
Right arm (non flexed): 12.75"
Right arm (flexed): 14"
Right thigh (non flexed): 23"
Right Calf (non flexed): 15"
Torso (exhaled): 49"
Bench max: 225
Well, everything increased. Bench strength went up a lot, which is great. Feel pretty good about everything so far. I really wish I would have locked out that 315 on the squat tho.
