how many of you guys play online poker? Personally, I rake at empire poker, paid for a 3 month vacation and most of my undergrad with it.

dont play, but a buddy here at work does alot...he won $10,000 recently playing blackjack off of $200...of course no telling how much $$ he spend prior to those winnings...

Poker is too addicting, or just fun. I play cash games and have a few different circles of people i play with/ As for online o play at party poker, just because it was the first site i went to. I have 44 mil on a free roll account, but you start at $5000.

There is a professor from FSU who has written a program to play perfect poker. BTW many of the times you think you are playing online poker agains other players you are playing bots of even the casino themselves.
If a software can be rigged it will be.

I can crush any current program that plays poker. Even in a limit situation, unless the computer is learning as it's playing, it can't compete vs a human player. In No limit, or Pot limit poker, a human player has a significant edge vs even the best programs.
This is not to say as computers get faster and smarter this won't be an issue, but it isn't one right now.

Besides the obvious, at the 2005 WSOP they had a competition poker AI. Some of the leading Universities in AI development entered their "contestants" and they were no match for human competition.
