Oblique pull

Felt my oblique muscle pull today during a deadlift set, first time it's happened. Does anyone have any advice on what to do while it heals? It doesn't feel too bad, just annoyingly sore. I am guessing I'll be laying off heavy deads for a couple of weeks, just looking for some thoughts on what I can do in the meantime to keep strong.

Go get an ultrasound if you can to make sure you didn't tear anything. Unfortunately it Will hurt more tmw morning. If you are unable to get an ultrasound and see a physio.... Then I suggest you rest, don't stretch your oblique, take an nsaid (ex naproxen)...sorry don't know what dose on top of my head.
 
Rest, ice, heat, ice, (or you can just ice)..... I'd lay off working out...you will use your abs/obliques no matter what you are working out.
 
Ok thanks Jay I appreciate the help! I'll make an appointment with my doctor to get a referral for an ultrasound just to be sure. Thanks again!
