nutritions tips that many/most people don't know

I've read a lot of studies. None of them about artichokes. Just eat more artichokes. If you're eating zero a day, go up to one, and so on. Don't make it more complicated than it needs to be.

I wasn't trying to mae it more complicated, and I was basically planing on using the method you suggest, but somebody was laying down specific numbers for how much liver bile would increase, so I was curious as to how many artichokes that would take.

Sorry I've been away on business for a bit, so I didn't see your post. I believe that the bile producing properties of the artichoke are due to the presence of cynarin, a caffeoylquinic acid found primarily in the leaves. I ate 2 whole artichokes a day, and this seemed to help, plus I didn't have any type of stomach discomfort for some time (I had stomach discomfort during my first cycle, but not during my 2nd when I incorporated artichokes into my diet). I am not sure about the exact number that should be consumed, I'd imagine that it has a lot to do with subjective things like body weight, individual liver health, etc. I would try eating 1 or 2 whole ones a day and see how you feel.

Sorry I couldn't help out more!

Best,
Xerxes

Eating watermelon can help produce arginine in the body causing some nitric oxide flow in your blood stream.

Very true. Watermelon, especially the white rind part contains l-citrulline which is converted both to arginine and NO in the body.

Chinese also think that this part of the fruit, which they call "watermelon frost" is good against colds.

I have heard of cooking, freezing, etc. can make the product have less nutrients. I dont know about protein or carbs. Maybe more so in the department of loosing vitamins and minerals, or antioxidants, etc. The reason why this makes sense to me, Example: if you burn some okra or catch it on fire and let it burn to ash. Does this mean the nutrients are still in there? negative. Plus Energy, i cant remember the energy theories and all but i think they could relate. Plus most of your frozen food is flash frozen. Which supposedly is to trap all of the nutrients in it. Im not sure if freezing would do the same thing as burning. Maybe at very extreme freezing conditions. conditions of breaking or shattering point. I could maybe relate to that.

Hemp protein is supposed to be a complete protein. Giving more nutrients and fiber etc. Easier GI wise too. Taste like poop though.

Chia seed, is another great whole food. Has a tone of minerals and a ton of omegas!
What would you do with chia? well you could add it to your yogurt, protein shake, bread, etc. Some use it as flour. ground up of coarse.

Also they say milk is supposedly more hydrating than water and gatorade.

Juice wise though would be the clear juices, white grape, apple juice, etc.

Food for Thought! :)

Please elaborate:)

Apple juice - The irony of hitting the gym like a maniac is that it tears your muscles apart. You reap the benefits later, when your body rebuilds itself, bigger than before. Drinking 12-16 ounces of apple juice before you work out provides 45-60 g of carbs and gives you a quick burst of energy (due to the glucose) that is also long lasting (thanks to the fructose). This helps put a lid on cortisol production, ultimately minimizing damage to muscle fibers, while encouraging greater training volume.

Avocados

Haha, sorry bro...I was short on time the other day and just threw those out there.

Avocados are TRULY one of the healthiest fruits/vegetables (argued by many to be both...technically a fruit though) on the planet.
-Healthy fats (7 fatty acid types)
-High quality protein (all 18 essential aminos) more than any other fruit
-Loaded with vitamins

Buffalo/Bison
-Ounce per ounce leaner than beef, pork or even chicken.
-One of the best sources of meat derived protein.
-Excellent omega 3 to omega 6 ratio.
-Superior taste, comparable to the finest choice cuts of beef.

Artichokes
-High in Antioxidants
-Cancer Prevention and Treatment
-Increased Bile Flow
-Good for the Liver
-Better Digestion
-Cholesterol Reduction
-High in Fiber

Ginger
-antiemetic/antinausea
-anticlotting agent
-antispasmodic
-antifungal
-anti-inflammatory
-antiseptic
-antibacterial
-antiviral
-antitussive
-analgesic
-circulatory stimulant
-carminative
-expectorant
-hypotensive
-increases blood flow
-promotes sweating
-relaxes peripheral blood vessels

And as an interesting side note:
For relief of flatulence - Ginger is generally taken in doses of 250 to 500 mg 2 to 3 times a day. :gas:

I didn't post links, but a quick google search will provide abundant resources to back up the above information.

Cheers!

I wish people would understand that this doesnt exactly happen. Trying to eat carbs pre-workout for that ultimate surge of energy doesnt happen this way physiologically.

Apple juice - Drinking 12-16 ounces of apple juice before you work out provides 45-60 g of carbs and gives you a quick burst of energy (due to the glucose) that is also long lasting (thanks to the fructose). This helps put a lid on cortisol production, ultimately minimizing damage to muscle fibers, while encouraging greater training volume.

Probiotics can help build muscle. They keep your digestive tract "cleaned out" which allows for better nutrient absorption, including protein. So, your body is better able to process macro and micro nutrients.
Milk kefir is a good source of probiotics. If you are dairy intolerant young coconut kefir is also a good source. Either can be made at home relatively easily.

I would post a link to a pretty good study, but I can't post links yet.

:clap2: Awsome post dog! Its cool buddy. Great come back! :veryhappy:
