Nos Ether Level One Initial Feedback

Really? 30-40 minutes before workouts and I'm jacked halfway through.

BTW, I'm doing quick workouts pre-judo class. Today I slammed my NOS, hit the gym, and did alternating pullups and dips to failure, with 10 seconds rest in between, or whatever it took me to walk between stations. 5 reps each set.

Then I hit judo for 2 hours. Warmup is a nasty calisthenic fest for 15 minutes, then 20 minutes of practicing a technique, 15 minutes ground fighting, and 45 minutes full on stand up judo fighting. 5-6 minute rounds, back to back, no rest. I fought the female US Olympic bronze medalist from last year. Tore me up.

My honest opinion? There are better products for oxygen-debt/anaerobic exercise; but this stuff is very good for power, intra-set recovery, and aerobic endurance (not to mention pumps). I'd buy another tub right now to take advantage of the price, if I could afford it.

Im no fan of warming up in Judo.......and def not "shrimps" on the mat.

Haha, shrimps suck, and make me dizzy, too. I used to wonder WTF was up with dragging yourself all over the mat on your front, side, and back, and all the scooting around; took me about half a year to realize it 1) gets you warm, fine, but more importantly 2) kicks your abs ass all over the place. Core strength is key.

Why'd you stop doing it, Chuck? No one wanted to fight you? :D

I was training at Tampa Judo in Tampa FL and they were prob. one of the best for Kata Judo, but I wanted to compete and that's a different style. They also "banned" me from doing any Judo moves that were wrestling moves which only allowed me to do stuff they knew I was going to do. On top of that, I was training with this world Samba Judo Champion who was like 280lbs and this other black belt who was like 240 and it was tough to hold back so when I would throw them Greco style they would get pissed. Also I hurt my wrist really bad in Dec 07 testing for a belt. Basically this guy fell on it and jacked it up for about 15 months, I couldn't bench over 185lbs or squat all that time. So I stopped, plus it was killing my joints.

We have a really nice Judo center here on the north side of Chicago about 5000 North where I grew up, I might start going three.
