NomZ Totals 1500+

2nd to last place after the first event, press medley, time to scrape some first places...

Yeah but that's the one event you're pretty much guaranteed not to get points out of - don't let it get in your head going forward.

Worked my way back up to third, and now back to second to last, only stones left...

3rd overall with the loading event win. Sucked ass at the tire flip and press medley, which cost me dearly.

Did you get any video?

Posted a few to IG, but I'll edit the full show and post on YouTube soon.

I might have seen them. Were you lifting kegs?

What's your IG?

How did you suck at tire flip?? Wouldn't have expected that from you (no offense, you just have a good pull so I kinda assumed it'd be alright for you).

Tire flips are more like zercher hack squats up a hill than a deadlift. It takes some practice. This from a guy who sucks at tire flips and didn't even make it to the tire flip portion of a farmer's/tire medley.

No idea how heavy the biggest I've done is, but the number of flips and RPE felt like about a low 400lb pull would. But there's definitely a technique to it to maximize drive/conserve energy. Seemed like once I slowed down, the tire would grind before I'd get it to flip and shortly thereafter I'd fall apart.

A lot of technique that I have never done before. I watched a novice out-flip me who only pulled 420, when I pulled 600; big technique difference there.

You need to remember to move your feet closer together once you've lapped the stone, it'll make a difference for your loading.

Tire flips could use some work lol.

Axle clean, well.....those just suck. You might've been better off trying to flip the hand right after you popped it onto your (lack of) belly.

THat looked like a lot of fun. Nice job man.

I remembered to walk closer, didn't know about bringing the feet together. Either way a 310 stone to 45" is not a stone I should ever miss, that's light for me.

lol Ya I was clueless on the flips.

Again, I never practiced continental, I've power cleaned that weight before on an axle. I just sucked that day.

10-5:30pm. You didn't see the hour of deadlifting bc they started the event at 440 with 20lb jumps...

Fuucckk that's a lot of pulling. Even if you didn't write it out to look like a marathon of pulling, it's a lot. Edit: now let's get 1800.

Ya my back was starting to be like no... after the sumo set. Wider than usual sumo felt pretty good, might play around with it more.

1800 what? lol... If I get my minimum goal lifts in 8 weeks, that's a 1650 single ply total.
