Nice little regiment. I got me OT and Monsterpump at the moment. I have some TMG for off days(monster pump has it already). I have AminoIV as I train fasted all the time.

I got some DS Splyce and Purus AminOD that I'll be throwing some reviews up for.

Levator scapula and rhomboid on right side were jacked up today from yesterday's session, plus my athletic trainer buddy tearing it up with an elbow. Couldn't cue any upper back tightness as a result. Cam quit on the good 630 and the second was uglier than I wanted.

Happy with the 500 since I haven't hit anything heavy raw in a long time. Probably could have gotten a little more, but didn't feel like going for more. Wanted to hit 600 in the suit but my neck was slightly strained after the 530 set, so shut it down.

Has your stance/technique changed in the suit? I remember your older suited vids and it seemed the same (at the time I saw them it seemed that way)
 
Thanks Rob, ya it did but I pushed my knees out and kept those hips under the bar while pushing the glutes forward.

Thanks.I hadn't squatted in the suit since last April...you mean my raw squat now looks like my suited back then? My raw squat stance has definitely gotten wider over time.

Yep, they look pretty similar now. I've built up the hips to handle the wider stance raw. I'm sure it might be a tiny different if I went back to gear, but I'm not doing that.

Weighed in 197.5, DL opener is 272.5 (600.7) for tomorrow.

Drank a bunch of Gatorade, snacked a lot, Korean BBQ, pancakes/sausage/eggs/hashbrowns. Not sure what my last meal is.

What do you mean? I checked my weight on my home scale that I brought with me. Typically very accurate, was 197.8 on it a few hours before weigh ins.

Being that close I would be paranoid my about the accuracy of my scale and I would be trying every scale I came across lol

Lol cutting it close. Cutting it close is when you have to stand on your head for a few minutes to fool the scale. That actually works, too.

EDIT: Very good point about the home scale Rob. Important to have a good one.
 
My scale has always been on the money, not super sensitive but I take it with me to most travel meets where I have to cut.

Still great pulling! If you did that at the meet I'm at right now, you'd get four white lights. The hitch festival I'm attending makes me want to take the damn head judge's seat so I don't have to watch any more awful pretend deadlifts.

Thanks everybody. It was a good meet overall, I had about half my team place top 3, and one of our lifters taking best overall and junior male lifter.

I destroyed the single ply 198 open class, by about 50lbs, for first place, didn't really care too much about this. Watching the raw 198 open men, I would likely have won that too but really glad I didn't do a full power and gave my body a break.

After handling some of my lifters, then deadlifting myself, I did side spots for one of the head judges who does bench only. Huge 275 guy, setting some raw records with shoulders that have been repaired surgically a thousand times. So I had to lift off half of the bar weight, bring it to him, release on time, allow him to bench, then return 100% of the weight back to the rack to protect his shoulders. Very taxing day. Think he benched 430 raw and 480 in the shirt.

lol I wouldn't have even given myself that lift if I was judging, very clear downward descent. No thanks brah, lol.
 
I know what you mean about the side handoff/spot on big benches. That wears me out, too. Mentally as much as physically.

Thanks to Grambo for the Strawberry Limeade AminOD. It's definitely a limeade flavor, thats what you taste the most, but you definitely get a hint of strawberry. It's kind of similar to the other Purus limeade flavors, I enjoy it. What I like most about this product is the lack of dyes, because red dyes definitely give me massive headaches.
