new to lean muscle and cutting weight

so all ive done previously to this is bulk and stay decently lean but now that im trying to move down a weight class from mma im really having to learn more about cutting. In the last year ive manager to cut from 200 to 177 removing excess bulk(was gassing baaaaaaaaaaad) and now looking to stay around 170-175 and cut to 155 for fights.

So ive been researching a lot and this is what my current supps look like for keeping muscle and dropping body fat
animal paks
licorice root
papaya enzymes
bcaa
full spectrum amino acids
glutamine (powder)
HMB
brewer's yeast
cayenne fruit
bitter orange
yohimbine hcl
gymnema sylvestre
morph
flaxseed oil
coconut oil
panax ginseng
milk thistle

also i drink a lot of green tea and water.

any suggestions for change for cutting fat, adding muscle supp wise? i eat very clean but try to keep my calories down since ive been adding weight rather easy just doing HIIT and rarely kettlebells
 
Losing weight and cutting weight are two different things. You say you want to stay around 170 but cut to 155 for fights, so you want to just cut weight, not lose body fat (although from your post I would assume you need to lose more weight before you actually cut). Cutting basically involves dehydrating yourself to make a weight class. You eat certain foods, sit in the sauna, ride an exercise bike out in the sun, etc. It's not advisable, but it's how things go today. It's hard on the body and can be very dangerous on your kidneys, so if you decide to do it you really need to have somebody experienced help you.
 
i guess i worded that wrong then. Yeah i understand cutting water weight, my focus at the moment is lowering my body fat % with minimal muscle mass loss.
 
hopefully rodja gets into this thread. we can all give you opinions, but an MMA fighter who has cut probably has the only information that really matters.
 
awesome thanks man, curious about the yohimbine hcl and killing cardio. Why is this? a blood pressure issue or something? I've done really well then considering ive been taking it and from what ive read the bitter orange effects my cardio too.
 
ill def get away from that. I've been doing a lot of HIIT and wondering my my heart rate has been haning around 200-205. keeping my gas up but was a little concerned about that.
 
c50 I am training 2 eventually fight mma and right now I am competing and training n jui jitsu.I have quite a bit of experience losing and gaining weight.I cut my bodyfat down as low as possible so i don't have 2 cut alot of water weight as it affects strength and cardio even if u don't notice it but neways u r only 7lbs away from where u want 2 b just stick to the training and dieting and not as much on supps as some of them seem to have performance risks as discussed n the previous statements.Also i would still b trying 2 pack on muscle mass at a slow steady pace as the more muscular u r the more fat u will metabolize.I can usually bulk up then cut an average of about 3lbs a week up until tournament time and I credit this 2 my large amount of muscle mass and low bodyfat.Post some bodyfat percentages so we can gauge about how much weight u can lose ideally just thru shedding bodyfat.
