New avengers trailor

But the Hulk also gets more enraged by taking extra damage... Lol

I see it going forever

Yeah, just like I said before - the sun dip might give Supes the edge momentarily enough to find a way to 'end' it but it wouldn't be through putting him down or choking him out or anything. It would be from getting him out of the way of everything and somewhere Hulk couldn't return - drifitng through space for example, or at least give him enough distance to start talking Hulk down from his enraged state.

Neither one is knocking out the other one or winning it through a fist fight.

And pretty much all of the universe would be destroyed hahaha

But Superman does have a power cap with a limiters off
The Hulk does not

OR...

They fight inside the sun for thousands of years until Superman is Prime One Million level - essentially a God, and then he removes the gamma from Hulk turning him back to Banner or calms him down with a single thought... :P

Superman would take the fight far off like to a Jupiter moon as he did before

*shrug* good discussion lol
Got my nerd on for the day

There are some flaws with the Superman series that irk me

Loopholes that would give the Hulk a clear victory but they make no sense so I don't bother

Dont think you will remove radiation from the hulk in a star

He'd be gaining it as well that whole time

Goku beats all.

That animation was great lol

Huge DBZ fan

And as he can power up faster, I agree 100%

There is some actual math determining his power based on his power level changes between super saiyan states

He would be able to rip apart planets in seconds

New DBZ series coming!!!!!

Hopefully it is good. That was my after school special for years growing up.

I already know I will not enjoy the Superman/Batman film.

Just because as a comic fan I know it will just be inaccurate and bother me.

Accurate movie: superman kills batman in 10 seconds, end credits.

Ever read TDKR? Hush?

Batman is ruthless as seen in several media outlets ie comics and animated films. Superman is normally a boyscout. That being said the big thing is, iron man vs batman

Just examples where Batman beat Superman. Why hasn't anybody thrown supplements into the equation yet? Batman on a steady routine of High Volume and Ergonine...

Lol nice thinking.

And that goes to show the power if fan voting.

Batman would be anal raped by the Hulk

I am a Hulk fan lol.

His Final forms with full control and Banners intelligence are absurd.

My wife s huge into X-men
And a lot of sci-fi

One superhero, that I feel like hardly ever gets mentioned and often looked over as by far the most powerful superhero off all time is Doctor Manhattan.

Strongest of all time is a hard battle, many are rigged lol
Its just not worth debating a battle with manhattan.

He can manipulate matter and literally deconstruct an enemy.

Only challenge would be someone ethereal or who can attack through dimensions (which the Hulk can, but cannot shift to an alternate)

Such a great answer. I love how technical this thread is getting right now lol.

Dr Manhattan is cheating in these debates, lol

Now now, how does one really define "cheating" haha.

Ever read TDKR? Hush?

TDKR is non-canon, utilising a 'Superman' that doesn't represent the true Superman (being an alternative, Elseworlds story) that is underpowered and crafted by a guy who has no problems admitting his dislike for the character. Also, if you read TDKR you will see that Superman, even after being weakened from a nuke, devoid of sunlight, shot with a Kryptonite arrow by Oliver STILL doesn't really fight back at all during the fight. He is too busy monitoring Bruce's failing heartbeat, trying to talk him down. The one time he does do something, he tears off his mechanical helmet and just pushes him away with one hand, which breaks three of Batman's ribs. By the end of it, Bruce has to fake a heart attack because even he knows, there is no way he can actually win.

...and you actually count HUSH as a victory for Batman? Really?

For Driven2lift, HUSH basically involves a mind-controlled Superman, courtesy of kryptonite laced lipstick, is forced by Poison Ivy to go after Batman. (Now, it should be noted that while under the effects of mind control by Poison Ivy, the victim is still aware, but unable to control their actions. If strong willed enough, they can actually alter the actions forced upon them, eventually breaking the control - like Superman does here). Superman is able to hold himself back long enough to allow Batman an escape to lead lined sewers after deliberately blasting a hole in the pavement with his heat vision. Batman is prepared with a Kryptonite ring, hypersonic emitter and knows exactly how Clark will act. A 'fight' ensues underground, but the whole time Bruce admits that if Clark wasn't holding back, he would be dead instantly. After the using hypersonic and the cities power to electrocute Superman, it barely slows him down so he gets out the Kryptonite ring. He punches Superman 3 times and says he has to stop before he breaks every bone in his hand. Superman lays down some arctic breath which neutralises the effects of the Kryptonite and Batman has to keep running away. Superman then, even after the apparent "ass kicking", emerges (smashes through the road now that Batman has escaped to street level) picks up a car, and is about to smash Batman into the ground when he has Catwoman drops Lois from a building, hoping Clark will break the mind control, which he does. I would say the best Batman did in Hush was survive a few minutes against a Superman holding back the best he could.

Now, let me point out a few other encounters between the two that occurred in canon comics (at the time of their release at least);
Batman #428: Batman punches Superman, who rolls with the punch and almost breaks all his knuckles.
Superman/Batman #2: Evil Supes backhands the snot out of Batman and is about to throw a car at him before the Superman from that Earth saves him.
Adventures of Superman #642: Superman thinks he is fighting Ruin and literally almost murders Batman before WW stops him.
Superman/Batman #23: Batman is possessed by Kryptonite Man and is literally glowing with the green stuff. Superman still uses his speed, pressure point strikes and his mastery of the Kryptonian Martial Art, Torquasm Rao, to effectively paralyze Batman.
Superman/Batman #33: Batman is possessed by Blackrock and literally has superpowers. Superman beats him so bad that Blackrock gets scared and abandons his body.
Lex Luthor/Man Of Steel: Batman fights Superman with prep-time. Bruce gets out his tiny piece of kryptonite. Superman, however, sees it coming and blows it away from his hand and blitzes Batman hard to the finish.
Justice League #2 (New 52): We've all no doubt seen this encounter in the animated JL: War, basically it is the first time they all encounter each other. Batman uses every gadget in his utility belt which has no effect on Superman. After casting him off as less than a threat, he goes on to maim Green Lantern and Flash while still holding back.
Batman: The Dark Knight #5 (New 52): Batman is on essentially an amped-up version of Bane's Venom and lashing out at Superman, who is taking all his punches trying to talk him down. When he realises this won't work, he puts him down with one punch from the sky, sending Bruce through a house.

#BOOM.

You clearly underestimate Superman Prime One Million. He has been living inside the sun for 15,000 years! He is a cosmic being at this point after breaching and escaping the source wall and being a 5th dimensional Imp etc. He made his own universe, he could stop universes from collapsing, he recreated Krypton and resurrected Lois with her DNA, putting her in a god-like body.

I would say this extreme version of Superman could essentially do anything. He could even create a universe and transport Hulk to it, which is probably the safest option ;)

LOVE Dr. Manhattan, and you're right he's constantly overlooked. I guess because he's not so much a 'hero' now that he's beyond human life and is off being a god basically.

Such a great answer. I love how technical this thread is getting right now lol.

IKR! Loving this thread haha. It's great to be able to get my geek on :P

I would say one of the few people from Marvel who could stand up to the Dr would maybe be someone like Galactus? I'm not too sure about the matter manipulation, but if Silver Surfer has only a smidgeon of the Power Cosmic and is powerful as he is, then surely someone like his boss could really take the fight to Dr. Manhattan?

Otherwise perhaps characters like Spectre. Beyonder. Anti-Monitor maybe. Thor with Odin Force? Lucifer Morningstar.

Let's throw Hulk a Red Lantern ring and see who he couldn't destroy haha. That would be scary powerful.

TDKR is non-canon

How are you determining what is canon or not? You're talking about an industry where writers are changing constantly and always want to make their own mark on characters. Either it is all canon or none of it is. The only exception would be an Elseworld's comic. Speaking of, what about vampire Batman vs Superman?

Also, I'm surprised nobody is commenting on the Suicide Squad pictures that are coming out. Think I'm passing on that one...

I'm determining what's canon by what was stated as canon at it's point of release. This has never been considered mainstream canon. Millers work on Batman for this series takes place in its own confined universe. It did not take place in the main universe ;)

I'm pumped for Suicide Squad. I think it's going to be an awesome, dark, action driven comic book movie with some great character interaction comedy sprinkled through it. The team looks great, definitely how I imagined a ragtag team of supervillain mercenaries to look. Ayer is an amazing director, I think this film is in very capable hands.

Which universe is the main universe? The Dark Knight isn't part of the new 52, but it was far before the new 52 that I decided I was done with main DC and Marvel titles.

Well, Earth-0 or Prime Earth AKA New Earth is the new main universe.

At the time of the Infinite Universes, I believe Millers confined universe, the Dark Knight Universe, was Earth 31 or something like that.

Yea I'm still in Jury's out mode.

I'm surprised no excitement for archangel!

Archangel looks bad ass, sorry I didn't say that earlier. I'm definitely excited for Apocolypse! :D

I am super excited for this one. I remeber being a kid saying "man I wish they would make movies of this stuff" and it is finally happening! Haha

I love what marvel has done to set the bar, bc now fox has to as well and it's making my favorites awesomerest! I do wish they'd all be friends one day and share the characters and trillions of dollars lol

Oh man, it's such a good time to be a comic book nerd right? Have you seen the movie line up for 2016?! Holy sh!t it's amazing... and will just keep getting better!

I'm also loving how each company is ensuring a good variety in their films. Marvel are very light-hearted, comical and fun adventures. DC look to be attempting a darker, heavier approach to their cinematic universe that's more adult. Fox have really stepped up their game with the X-Men series, especially after X3 and those solo Wolverine movies. I loved First Class, DOFP was incredible and Apocolypse looks like it will be amazing too.

I'm just super-geeked to see Batman and Superman sharing a screen together next year! 75 years in the making! I've been waiting for this for over 30 years! LOL

Haha I have watched this a bunch of times and can't seem to bring myself to believe it. As properly and well thought out as this was, I still feel like Goku would be victorious.

Do you know much about Superman? His feats over the last 75 years are so impressive they border on ridiculous ;)

Besides, these two guys would never fight anyway. They're both such good guys! :P

There is a more recent one with a flip book style where Goku wins, and he should IMO

I do think Superman is the man, and he certainly is the most impressive superhero but I just have to go with my man Goku.

Lol that's very true, they both are way too good. I liked in the video how Goku shot an energy ball at the Kryptonite destroying it, so he can take on superman at full strength. That's something he would do.

Oh wow thanks I didn't know that, I'll have to check it out and I agree he should haha.

This just in, Disney/marvel are babies and making quicksilver and scarlet witch not mutants. All about dat guap.

If I'm not mistaken, I think whoever makes the X-Men movies owns the term mutants as far as the movies are concerned

Correct. Fox own the rights to X-Men and the term 'mutants'. That's why QS and SW were referred to as 'Miracles' and will probably be retconned to Inhumans, like they're doing in the comics... since Marvel still own the rights to the Inhumans ;)

I get it. Just lose a little respect when you go to change decades of comics for the sake of money. Maybe don't sell the rights to the X-Men derp? With that, F4, and Deadpool stuff it makes them look like a bunch of bitter babies.

Unfortunately, they had to sell the movie rights to those characters to avoid going bankrupt. If they didn't, Marvel Studios as it is today would not exist. I guess it just goes to show how much things have changed when apparently nobody was buying these books and now the films based on them are earning over a billion dollars haha.

Like I said though, they've basically retconned it so Magneto isn't their father anymore. Marvel are playing tough against the Fox-owned properties.
