Need something to make my mind shut down for sleep. Sleep supp stack failed tonight.

This thread leads me to think we may soon see a new SNS product: Dreams XT

Lol...I have my own theories as to what makes a perfect sleep aid for me. Yet since I can get everything so cheap, and not really looking to test it on someone else ;p I'll keep that to meself.

InB4 Celorza takes 2 Excedrin PM's and faps....

Phen is great.....just gotta be careful how much you use it.

certainly, I rarely feel a need to use it anyways since I sleep really well most times, but it sure is nice to have when you need it.

I'm thinking of running either that Picamilon solo...or in conjunction with PEA for my 9 hours of lab a week I have :/...that's just Senior Design Lab...

Gets addictive! And toxic at high dosages.

I like both pica and phen but for very distinct purposes, even though they are similar. PEA is different. I don't like it personally but some people love the buzz feeling.

correction, Sweet Dreams XT! :D

I am going to try 3Z tonight for the first time (sample pack), I had an awful weekend and need a solid 9-10 hours sleep in the worse way. If it works i'll probably pick up a bottle to try it for a longer period.

Magnesium threonate... just started it 2 days ago and it rocks! I have the same crappy sleep patterns as the thread starter and often resort to benedryl, 10mg of melatonin, theanine, etc, but the magnesium threonate is a great addition to these. I can feel my mind relax within about 30 minutes of taking it..and its fairly profound relaxation.

Right here. Never had any success with it. Acupuncture mats are great for sleep. Lay on it for 20-40 minutes before bed. Really helps you relax. By the time you get off of it you're ready to climb into bed and fall asleep. Sleep masks and ear plugs are also nice additions.

And some good ****ing is most important.Long day at work ending the night with some good sex is a great sleep aid :)

I'm wired as hell after sex. Plus I am "at attention " for a fairly long time after as well. It is a good appetite stimulant though.

Dude after i bust my ass at work and have some good sex @ night ,i can lay down and pass the hell within 15-20 mins. Now talking on the regular, then yeah im not going to sleep right after, lets say its like a Sat afternoon, lol

I don't know why but personally I find melantonin keeps me awake. You could maybe try a cortisol controlling supp like endo amp max, lean xtreme, reduce xt etc? I have had similar problems, your circadian rhythm is likely maybe messed up, maybe you have high night time cortisol which makes it hard to fall asleep?

I take 5g GABA a few nights in a row and it helps me relax in bed. if I take it too many days in a row though I start having too many dreams and the wife moves to the couch because I kick/hit by accident-and I have no recollection of it.

dude i know you say you dont want to use xanax but sounds like you dont have much choice. theres nothing wrong with xanax when taken properly prescribed and if you need it you need it. the big issue with xanax is coming off after long use. you need a psychiatrist to help you come off of it as most general pract arent that exactly experts on those types of drugs.

I use Xanax or ambien.... Just not every night. ONLY when I know I am too jacked up to sleep and I MUST take something. Usually 1-3 times per week. You wont have to come off of anything or have withdrawals if you use as needed only. Moderation is key..and switching it up with Xanax one time and ambien the next

I've been like that for a very, very long time. Actually I've always suffered from insomnia since I can remember,
and I tried everything.. Nothing worked and what did work (heavy meds) made me groggy and pretty much unable to function the next day.
No matter how tired I was

Last year (I'm 33) and a half it went away completely, I sleep like a baby. For me it was 100% stress. I changed my job, my personal life/relationship also
and my stress level went down *a lot*.
The one supplement that (even tho' indirectly probably) helped me with that was Lean Xtreme, even if not meant for it I guess regulating cortisol/stress level
if that's the cause, can really help with that.
Not being able to sleep sucks big time, I feel you there, hope you get thru it

I agree with AutoKal. In my opinion you should try identify the cause of the insomnia. Usually its high cortisol levels. Taking meds or herbs that 'relax' the brain do not address the underlying cause and therefore will at some point lose their efficacy. I developed severe insomnia from over-training. The high cortisol was making brain race; thoughts entering my head quicker than they were leaving. Like AutoKal what helped me the most and return to normal was addressing the underlying cause. I stopped training, practiced deep breathing several times a day, took extra vit C and B and phophotidyl serine in the evenings, around 6pm. I then took the herbal concotion you mentioned closer to bed. If you begin a regime of phosphytidy serine I suggest you take it for 2 months at least allowing sufficient time for your HTPA axis to return to normal.

I have terrible insomnia, can go 2-4 days no sleep sometimes until my body shuts down and has to sleep. Sometimes 2 benydril, zma, and 5g melatonin will get me to sleep. Sometimes it doesn't and I feel like dying all through the night. Very interested in getting valarien and GABA and trying those with melatonin and zma

Regardless of how bad your insomnia is, you should never take 5g of melatonin

Sup Mitch

With all due respect, it might behoove you to seek medical attention. IMHO, you transcend the mere scope of herbal or OTC remedies.
There is a significant difference between 'poor/crappy' or 'shortened' sleep and no sleep at all for days at a time (regularly).

In your case, there may be underlying health issues OR health risks now being caused as a direct result of this affliction. Either way, I strongly encourage you to talk to Doc as this is not your run-of-the mill vanilla acute or mild insomnia case/

Good luck to you.

Sup brutha's.

I know you two are joking around but 99% of the bro-logic on 2,4 is pure garbage. I subscribed to the same incorrect/flawed comprehension of 2,4 until I actually took the timer to really dive into the research. It's been proven that it barely raises body temperature. When I finally tood the time to really investigate the actual science behind this stuff, it turned everything I had read (heard) on its head.

I do not need the stuff to get lean, but it's easily the most misunderstood chemical around. I'm also a health nut who takes great pride in what I eat and invest heavily (like most here) in the preventative supps I take. With that disclaimer in place, I'd take the stuff if needed.

I PM'd you and Cooper a link (not a site that sells it) if you ever wish to read about this compound.

I prefer 2,4 dinitrophenol for that purpose

hahahaha, much more effective. cause a meltdown from the inside out and cook yourself. :D wait that would hurt..........

IDK man but Ambien or xanax seems like the only thing, real stuff. But nothing wrong with trying all naural otc remedies first.good luck.

You totally misinterpreted my post lol. I know that DNP gets a bad rap, but it was a joke about using an overdose to induce an "endless sleep" (taking 30 potassium pills would do the same thing).

Yeah - it seems to either knock my ass out like a tranquilizer & keep me knocked out the next day or I notice nothing from it -

3Z I like real well -

HGHPro works well too, although it doesn't seem to allow me to sleep much past 7hrs, but they're an awesome 7hrs

I took Melatonine once. I had a deep sleep with vivid (and violent) dreams. I quite enjoyed the dreams.

yeah DNP was used in the "olden days" as a weight loss pill.....but overdosing on it can be fatal, lets be honest. people are stupid and will push the envelope. but if used properly, it won't kill you. you actually have to make an effort to cook yourself :D
