Need some suggestions. Im a month in now to working out, one month no smoking, completely revamped my diet and have a good exercise regiment going. have some supplement questions. Im basic kind of guy so all im looking for a good protein and good creatine, and I already have a multi vitamin. I took a protein blend to start (just to keep it simple for me at night), but am almost out and would like to move to a 100% whey (whats the difference between whey and whey isolate) and cassein in the evening and learn to portion myself. Im also looking for a good creatine, basic and proven. I prefer caps but have no issue with the powder if it makes a difference. I was thinking optimum nutrition for my protein but im really lost on the creatine and which ones a reliable. Im already aware muscle tech is garbage. any other basic recommendations would be appreciated i.e. N.O.

For whey, I used Optimum Nutrition for a long time, but recently I began using AAEFX Whey NF-Pro and I have been very impressed with both the flavor and the mixability. For creatine, I think that studies have shown that creatine monohydrate is just as, if not more, effective than the new modified creatine (CEE, etc). I personally use Kre-Alkalyn which is a pH buffered creatine monohydrate. I hope that this helps.

appreciate the input. ill give ON a try first and see how that goes. For now I guess ill just try to find a basic mono. thanks

Good creatines:

Green MAGnitude
Green BULGE
Ragnarok
Neovar

Congrats on the no smoking, keep it up, stick to your guns

coming from someone who quit smoking over a year ago now, congrats and stay with it!! It does get easier for sure.

I think you'd really enjoy Ragnarok, Cre-02, or Green Mag. All are quality products and Ragnarok and Green MAG taste awesome :). Cre-02 is the worlds first ever enteric coated creatine product and it is INTENSE!!
