Need advice

Flay

New member
I'm thinking about starting steroids but I don't know which ones to choose. I'd like something with a smaller possibility of side effects and that will help my jaw develop/get stronger looking, I know this part sounds ridiculous but had to mention it since I've heard some particular steroids can have that effect..
I also need a bit of advice on it, how/when to take, precautions etc.. thanks.

haha you ass Ronnie.. although you might be right, I actually thought he was jokin' there for a second.

Hey Flay, hmm what exactly are your stats? age, ht, wt, etc? I'm fairly certain there aren't any steroids that function to increase jaw size just by the sheer physiological components of how that would occur (but if there are then god d*ammit somebody please get in here and name it) .. but if you're young enough i'm thinkin it's probably gonna go ahead and get pretty manly on it's own.. :toofunny:

and before anyone else lets you hear it, just by the vagueness and unusual nature of your question (which is just a tiny bit funny) it's pretty obvious that you reallllllly need to just read around on here for awhile.. possibly several years! :study:

Im sorry guys I misread the thread... What I meant to say was you should buy the "Strap" because it increases blood flow to the jaw!

Lifting heavy will help with your bone structure / density. Please do not be disturbed by it's look, it will help you achieve your wildest chin dreams:

I'm sorry Flay :( I honestly have nothing but humour to add here. I hope you find the answer you seek!

Can anyone regardless of age build adequate amount of bone strength to support muscle mass gained from body building?

Question:I was wondering about bone mass and bodybuilding.

I heard people have gained 50% or more of their total bone mass by age 12-18. From what I have been reading, they would have reached about 98% of their bone mass...So the last 2% from 18-25 for woman and 18-35 for men is gained.

I don't have osteoporosis, but I have low bone mass. My question is how long does it take to build "bone strength". And can anyone regardless of age build adequate amount of bone strength to support muscle mass gained from body building?

Answer:Assuming that you don't have anything preventing you (poor diet or medical problem that prevents you from building bone), yes you can build an adequate amount of bone.

People have demonstrated the ability to build both bone and muscle when they were in their 70's. That said, the older you are the harder it will be to increase muscle mass and bone density. And your potential maximum will start to decrease as you get older (so you may not be able to sustain the strength and muscle you had at age 30 or 40).

Enhance and restore bone density – Sedentary and inactive habits lead to aging which decreases bone density and incites bone brittleness. Clinical trials have found that consistent strength training can help maintain bone density while it prevents osteoporosis.

Thx for all the great advice:) (sarcasm) a bit of humour never hurts though but when I looked up google about this subject it seems that every person who asks about this gets mocked..
Anyway.. I've read that steroids are sometimes used therapeutically to stimulate bone growth, and it seems that high levels of testosterone are related to wide jaws in men which are the most attractive to women.
Increasing bone could be quite difficult at my age, I'm 21, but perhaps bigger jaw muscles could lead to more bone in that area after a couple years.
Do you ever notice that some guys no matter how big they are kinda look less manly than other guys with much smaller muscles? it's all about the jaw.

That woman in the picture looks sorta bizarre btw

As far as I know, and I'll humbly submit in the face [sic] of better knowledge, normal bone mass maturation is a natural growth hormone driven process.

You will gain bone mass and density most rapidly through your puberty, obviously due to your naturally elevated growth hormone levels. These will eventually drop back to normal in your late-twenties/mid-thirties. So, your bones, including those of the face and skull will continue to grow and alter until you're in your early/mid-thirties.

Even at 21, you're nowhere near that age yet. I can't emphasize enough the HUGE risks you undertake if you irresponsibly experiment with steroids. These chemicals are potent enough to kill you or, at best, cause your body grotesque and irreparable deformity and damage. I'm not going to lecture you on this issue, it's well documented both here and elsewhere on the net.

If you want to give your body the best chance to develop fully, I would advise you to concentrate on your dietary intake (protein etc), exercise and sleep. I guarantee that with these three in check, you are in a far better and safer position than trying to chemically alter your hormone levels.

Just as an aside, because you mentioned jaw bone issues, please check out this link about Invalid Link Removed.

There's a lot of good advice in this post from people who know what they're talking about. I hope you pay heed and stay safe and strong.

There really isn't any need for this. You don't have to threaten this kid about "death, deformities, and damage." If the kid wants to take steroids, let him do it.

No doubt he'll do what he wants. No problem with that. I'd just rather he knows a lot more about his body/chemical interactions/hormone levels and responses than he seems to know before he starts treating his body like a chemistry lab. However, the choice is obviously his.

I didn't think I was making a threat, just highlighting some of the more severe repercussions of substance abuse. Seeing this kid become yet another example for the "steroids-are-evil" media will really irritate me.

Lastly, if you're altering your hormone levels to such an extent that your bone structure is visibly altered without medical supervision, you're on dangerous ground.

I'd say its too late for you. Bone won't grow that significantly at your age. Younger, and maybe IGF injections of tiny quantities into the jaw multi times a day could do it tho :)

Well, thanks for the advice, I've heard about acromegaly before and it scares me a lot but still I have to try something or I'm sure I'm gonna regret it later..
I'm probably not going for steroids right away since I'm not one to do things irresponsibly. For now I'll just try working my jaw muscles for some months and see if I notice any bone changes at all. Bone structure is in constant renewal I believe so perhaps increased stress to the jaw will do at least a tiny change.

Flay please forgive me if anything I have said has hurt your feelings or made you feel any less welcome to these forums. Sorry.

I want you to know that you are, right now, totally attractive and loved by someone / people. The fact that you do not have a strong jawline is really a low rung on a long ladder. What is your ultimate goal? What do you want to achieve? As you know there are many different ways to achieve a goal.

Let us help you in a more heart healthy / mentally stable way of achieving your goals one way or another. There are truly some bright minds on this forum that could help shed some light on how to get there.....

Much Love,

Neoborn

No, i'm okay really, I didn't feel hurt but apology accepted anyway:)
I know I'm attractive to other people but I really feel the need to like myself more.. as for goals I'm not sure, for now my short term goal is to build a better body.
Thanks for being supportive.
