Indianapolis -1 OVER Dallas ( I can't believe it's only 1 pt. ! ) This is my lock of the week and 70% of my total is being bet on this game.
Chicago -7 OVER NY Jets

Would I be allowed to ask the question of which sports books you guys bet with on here? I've actually read some books on sports betting about 6 months ago (used to be a big online poker winner, i'm not just some crazy gambling addict) ha I've always wanted to get into it a bit, just making small $10 wagers on a couple games here and there nothing to crazy. Also do you have to be 21+ on most sites...? b/c then i would be out of luck.

i have accounts set up ay sportsbetting.com and sportsbook usa.com...

if you join, you should say i referred you, and we both get a bonus! ill set aside out college football differences for now:D

haha do u have like AIM or an e-mail i can talk to you on about this, i wouldn't mind making some wagers to make some of these games more interesting.

Also do you prefer one site over the other, or do you just use two different ones incase they have different betting lines?

yeah, my AIM and email is [email protected]. i dont go on AIM much anymore cause i always get strangers from bb.com wanting advice.
as far as the websites go, i like sportsbetting.com better. more props, easy to navigate, and every friday, all bets are -105. plus, i know they payout since ive received many checks from them:D havent tried cashing out at sportsbookusa.com just yet. and yes, the reason i have accounts at both is to take advantage of spread changes.

Just looking over some spreads right now (not sure if i'm going to start my sports betting just yet) but how do these ones look?

Tennessee -7.5 (-103) Over Vandy
South FL +17 (-102) over Lousiville
NC State -3.5 (+101) over UNC
Auburn -3 (+101) Over Alabama (shaky on this one, it's at alabama, but i think people are really really underrating auburn right now)

Also Pinnacle seems to be a good book to start out at, i dunno if you get referal bonuses or not, but if you do, someone shout me your username if you want some bonus money

those are all pretty questionable IMO. im not playing any of those games. i really like maryland and iowa though. and, i gotta bet on my buckeyes!

None at all. They're one of the highest rated sportsbooks around. Never had any problems with deposits or payouts. Check Invalid Link Removed . They have ratings for all the books along with any document complaints or legal problems any of them have had in the past.

I was looked at it while I was getting screwed by Pitt in the 2nd half last night and passed because I saw Northern Ill is something like 8-1 ATS vs CMU over the last 9 meetings. But Wolfe is banged up for this game with shoulder problems, has looked like crap the past few weeks and this is the MAC after all so all trends go out the window. I put a little something on CMU and if anybody wants some you better hurry, it's up to -4 and rising.

spread is moving in NIU's favor now and fast!!! did something happen that i dont know about because im not so sure i wanna bet on this anymore.
 
CMU is looking bad early. This pisses me off. I play small on East. Michigan +11 but bigger on CMU. CMU is costing me the day. :(

MAC screws everybody. A buddy of mine that actually does ok in the MAC says the key to betting MAC games is look at the game, see what makes sense and go the other way. As I'm typing this CMU is down 21-0 and just missed a field goal. Out of conference the teams play pretty much how you expect them to but in conference the games are played in the twilight zone.
 
ok, havent placed any bets yet. im contemplating ONE of these, i do not wanna bet on both. these are both 1st quarter spreads that look really good:

navy -7 to temple
notre dame-7 to army

im torn on which one to choose, they look equally as good to me. 1st person to respond with a team, thats who im going with. its in your hands AM... navy or ND?

if no one responds by morning, ill flip a coin...
 
I made my first online sports bet. $20 on Michigan +7 at -109, I dont think it's too bad of a bet plus it will give me something to cheer for in the best game of the decade in which i dont care about either team.

i got ohio state 1st half... i think this is a solid choice.

on a side note, i hate lee corso. hes picked against the bucks all 3 times this season. the good news is that hes never, ever, right!

Pinny is showing Rutgers -6 +100 now. looks like moneys coming in on cincy
 
Michigan covered!!!

my first sports book play ever...off to a good start. I ended up putting down 1 unit on LSU -7 +100 for the first quarter (great play I think) and 1 unit on USC 5.5 -105, lets see how this goes.

i had the under (72 points) with the hawaii game. that was a close one but a winner nontheless.

i finally overcame my wake forest losing streak. everytime i bet on a WF game i lose until yesterday. special thanks to V tech. overall, it was a great week with most my money falling on 1st half ohio state and the over in that same game. buckeyes covered the over with their score alone!
 
also, this week was my first experience betting on 1st quarter odds and i like it:twisted:

those are just a few that jumped out at me at first glance. already hit jax -2.5 and Cincy before the number gets to or away from a FG. Will be watching LSU/ARK line and waiting to get USC under a TD (or at a TD and buy the hook) and I'm gonna pound it.
 
I took Ark at -1 and Hawaii at -16.5 (they always cover).

Other games that look good are GT +1.5 vs Georgia.

Also the USC game started at 6.5 i dunno if it will jump back down or not.

yes, had colts 1st quarter +.5 my big NFL pick was new england. how did you miss that one IW?

as for this week, BC and arkansas do look good. i also think new mexico state, TCU, and florida are worth a glance. the over for the arizona/arizona state game appears to be money too (thanks to IW for the tip to bet over on PAC 10 games).

I didn't know Favre would have broken his arm LOL. I seriously expected Indy would be too much for the Tony Romo led Cowboys. New England had also been a little off against the Jets and Colts the previous 2 weeks so I didn't want to follow them to a potential losing streak. Oh well, gotta go double or nothing next week, I'll win one eventually :D

I really like SJSU and it is down to 6.5. I am on the other side on Hawaii, I think they continue to cover at home.

I do too. I just listed them away team - spread - home team.
I've been riding Hawaii all year and don't plan on stopping now. My only question is why is the line moving down? It opened at -17 and now i'm seeing -16 and SportsInsights is showing almost 70% of bets coming in on Hawaii .I didn't see any big injuries for Hawaii and although Purdue is 4-1 on the road ATS this year, they covered @ Illinois, @ Mich St (a 2 pt win), @ Northwestern and @ ND (a 14 pt loss). I dont get it.

(If anybody follows reverse line movement, BYU went from -12.5 to -10.5 with 93% on BYU and USC went from -6 to -7.5 with 66% on ND)
 
the over/under for that hawaii game is 75! so many points yet it will likely happen. i think ill take the under and hope that there is 1 slow quarter. this way, ill have a shot at winning the wager the entire game. if this covers, it will do so in the final minutes.

From what I read this was a "trap game" most of the public money was bet on Indy. I however took Dallas...yea buddy.

CFB Picks so far this week for me

Purdue @ Hawaii -16.5
LSU @ Arkansas -1
BC -4 @ Miami
GT+1.5 @ Georgia

Also looking at the Nevada +3 but not sure yet.
 
lately, ive been tearing up the over/under spreads. i got the following:

tennessee vs kentucky: under 60.5
arizona vs. arizona state: over 44 (most my money is here!)

as for teams, the only spread i really like is NMSU -6.5 at utah state. im also considering TCU. they have been playing well as of late.
 
arkansas is already a great bet IMO. i got it at +1 ans am satisfied with it. arkansas has been on fire lately and LSU is coming off a scare from miss state.

those all look pretty good to me (except hawaii) although the week has started ice cold for me. im 0-2 so far:( and when it rains, it pours for my picks so im kinda expecting ALL my picks to lose. oklahoma i think looks even better since texas lost because now they are playing to get into the big 12 championship game. im also looking to bet on maryland who is undefeated at home but like i said, when im off, im very off so ill just take whatever losses happen today (if arizona/arizona state is over 43 there wont be any losses!). anyways, good luck yankees
