is it due to being young and testosterone beasts?

i think it's due mostly to genetics.

i know when i played football, i could play an entire game, eat dinner, and go to the gym for a heavy workout.


i'm sure being young has something to do with it, and this ability should diminish as i/we age
 
yeah i think it has something to do with being young! even my cuts and scraches heal so much faster than my girlfriends, i think this has to do with good blood flow!

i just rarely get them. I've got a very fast recovery time.

I like them too! I get them pretty bad when I hit everything right, but I seem to recover from it quick.

yeah, i know it's time to change up my routine when i don't get any.


like today, hit the legs, i felt like pretty hard, and i've been jumpin all over the place and running up stares...
 
Lack of doms is good, its just makes it hard to judge how much damage you did :) the one bit of good genetics I appear to have is good recovery :D


edit: I also think fast recovery is more to due with genetics than test, my dad has immense recovery at 45 still :)

haha ya'll look at this different than i do...

i hate lack of doms....when i don't get them, i go heavier and harder and if i let myself i'll spend 3-4 hours in the gym chasing that dragon...
 
Yaaa...I mean most of our logs are kinda like that anyways. I do have a blog I post in once in awhile I may move it to the AM blogs(i had forgot about them)

Agree with ya Natty I love DOMS makes me feel like I actually did something if I don't get them I try harder the next time I hit the gym... but I do recover fairly fast for being an older guy...LOL...:006::usa1:
 
Don't get me wrong...doms are alright, except when you can't walk all day. Then they can be a bit of a bitch. The funny thing is, I can give myself doms with certain muscles but others I can't very well. Even with my knee injury I can downright HURT myself on leg days...

and blog means literally "web log" and people use them to journal all sorts of stuff: personal stuff, business stuff, some businesses misuse the term and use them for press releases etc. etc.

I assume BCAA's right? I've taken that too but I also take LG BC/EAA's which is good too... I don't get DOMS all the time either but I sure don't mind having them either...LOL call me crazy hahahhahhaa...:006:
 
okay, so i'm thinking about buying a bulk bcaa powder and a bulk eaa powder and mixing the two....see any problems with this?


i'm also gonna be adding in taurine and creatine for my own intra workout, after i use the intra-aid that i'm planning on buying from tex'lifter

Why not buy one thats got both...???:dunno:I got LG BC/EAA's 389 grams... and i have also used xtend from the planet...

i'm cheap. i like bulk. i just bought bulk taurine that'll probably last me close to a half a year if not a little more.
i can do the same with those, for a lot less money than i could do with almost any blend the companies put out.

what you gonna mix your bcaas with tex? i would recomend waxi maize or some fast digesting carb, might need crystal light too

naw i like the taste by itself.

science actually proves wms is no faster at digesting than any other carbs, making dextrose still one of the faster digesting carbs.

so WMS = Dextrose absorbtion rate?

no dextrose > wms absorption rate. plus dextrose is tons cheaper.


however, this is only according to a few studies, there might be others that prove it works. everyone is in general acceptance that dextrose is extremely fast naturally without the process that goes into making wms. the fact that dextrose is so much cheaper, i like sticking with it.
 
alright popped an sx at 8 this morning...it's 9:30 and i have yet to feel anything. I'm about to go to the gym, hopefully it kicks in before i get there.

Beginning Notes: No shock for me today, I took an SX this morning. I had 3 grams of taurine prewo and I was planning on having 3 intra with water, but I left my water bottle at home.


Bi's

B.B. Curls:115x3 sets of 6 95x 1 set of 8
Notes: I had a great pump. It wasn't one of those painful pumps...It was more like my muscles felt like they were white hot. I loved it. At first I was wondering if it was the SX or the Glycobol, but now that I think about it, I think it was the Taurine.

Single Arm D.B. Curls:50's x 4 sets of 8

Single Arm D.B. Preacher Curls: 35's x 2 sets of 12
Notes: I don't know why I do these, I've never liked preacher curls. I honestly don't feel like I'm doing anything...

Notes: Apparently they've removed the 100's completely instead of keeping just one (the other one broke on some guys face) so I was stuck with 95's.

Overall Notes

So far I'm extremely unimpressed with SX. I'm not feeling a thing Volcom talked about...I'm hungry (i downed two homemade chicken phillis on whole wheat rolls), I'm sleepy, I've got none of the "euphoria". I've got a PM in to one of their reps to see if maybe it interacted with the glycobol or what...​
 
That's odd, the SX usually took about 15 min for mine to kick in. Did you take it on an empty stomach? I can't imagine anything other then solid foods ingested too soon after taking the SX diminishing SX's effects.

I doubt it's the glycobol interfering with anything. My first day with a single cap was less then impressive from what I recall, that's when I bumped it up to two caps an had the insomnia, but maybe your body mass has something to do with the relative dose effect :dunno:

If you aren't at least feeling the insane appetite suppression, then something is definitely rotten in Denmark.

so far today i've had that, 4 philli cheese 'chicken' sandwhiches (just chicken shredded up with onions mushrooms and a piece of provolone cheese melted over on a foot long whole wheat roll.) and a couple of those little chewy quacker bars, a banana and some strawberries...if anything i feel hungrier...i've got a pm to T-AD to see what he thinks...

i'll probably stick with one more tomorrow and see if that does anything then boost it up.
it could be the body mass...i am 80 pounds heaver than you...

Your protocol sounded above & beyond, so timing isn't a problem at all.

A far reaching theory would be the glycobol on top of your inherent hypoglycemia igniting your hunger, but that would only stand if you started the glycobol on the same day you started the SX, which I don't think is the case, right?

Nonetheless, the appetite suppression shouldn't be as absent as you described. Of all of the effects I experienced on SX, the appetite suppression was the most undeniable, as strong as ECA or very close to in my experience.

I started glycobol yesterday...didn't get hungry, i jsut felt like all my muscles were swelling up.

Honestly the only thing I'm noticing different today is the fact that i'm extremely short tempered. I'm usually a pretty level guy so being short tempered is odd to me. Like I'm pretty pissed that SX didn't do anything and i'm pretty pissed none of the reps have pm'ed me back and I was pretty pissed nothing had happened with my order. I actually just got an email from n.p. telling me they'd fallen behind because of the huge response to the protein sale, so that has calmed me down quite a bit.

I'm very lethargic and short tempered...right now
 
im on glycobol as of yesterday too. i am knowitcing no effects of it at all. maybe muscles will start sweeling soon like yours. but im really knowicing nothing with only 1.5 servings so far.
