NASM or ISSA?

I have been wanting to get my personal trainers certificate for a long time.. My uncle has said he will pay for this as my Christmas present. I'm looking for advice as to wich cert to get... NASM or ISSA? All input is greatly appreciated.
 
NASM seems to be accepted at more commercial gyms, but my opinion is ISSA is a better program, you'll learn more. But 24 hour and LA Fitness won't hire you with only an ISSA cert. at least that's the case around my parts.
 
Go NSCA or ACSM

Honestly you can get a PT job with just about any cert really
 
Thanks for the input guys.... I do think I like ISSA a bit better... going to call a few of the gyms in the area and ask them if they have a preference.
 
Isnt the ISSA test essentially an online open book test that you take at home?

Nobody could ever have a beef with NSCA or ASCM
these are the most coveted, with long and prestigious track records. Also overkill for most commercial big box gyms.
