Never a dull moment here brother. I post what's on my mind. And what's on my mind right now is squatting tomorrow for the first time in 10 days.

Back feels pretty good, we'll see after tomorrow, 90% of TM...
 
Is it bad that the only thing I care about is my squat?

The only bad thing is that to squat, you have to bench and deadlift. If you wanna bench and not squat, they'll let you. Wtf?

Not my best effort today. I squatted like someone trying to not hurt their back. Every rep was tentative.

Warm up blah blah

Worked up to 345x1, it was an ugly good morningish piece of crap. And apparently I don't know how to take a vid - fail.

The good: I think my back held up even though I was getting these little pains that were making me wince warming up.

The bad: everything else...

Txs big shot, I'm reasonably confident I didn't hurt my back again, that's the important thing. I don't have much tolerance for shytty effort, and that's what today was.

I just realized something. The 345 yesterday was the same fcking weight I missed leading up to nationals, and less than the 350 I smoked the week before last.

I believe herder told me to stay away from that weight before nats, I'm def staying away from it now.

Thoughts
Today went well and I actually went by the template, then did a couple more singles. Everything was flying off my chest so I just kept going. The 240x1 felt great. Could have tucked a little better but I stayed tight and got some leg drive. With how this came off my chest, I'm thinking something like 230, 250, 265-270 at worlds. More than I would have thought 2 months ago. That should put me 1065-1070ish depending on my pulls.
 
That looked like your last warmup before the platform, old man! Though I like your choice of opener just because of squatting first.
 
Jeez man! Looked easy as hell far you judging the bar speed...didn't look like you had any sticking points to break through.

I think you could hit it all day. It's hard to say specifically with us not having a lot of video of you benching maximally. If you were to go from 240 straight to 265, I think it would be a bit big of a jump. But 240 was fast and smooth. Gun to my head, I'd say you could hit 275-285 on a day where you came to the gym and worked up to a max, many small jumps, taking plenty of rest, et cetera. That's the thing about meet day, though. Three attempts and time constraints make it hard to hit a true max.

If it were me, I'd say 235 opener, 255 second, and then anywhere from 265 to 275 depending on how you feel.

Fck I hate buying pants. 5'7" 200 lbs. anything I can fit my legs and ass in without cutting off blood flow is 2" big in the waist and 2 inches long...
