napalm: 12 weeks to WPC Worlds...ya, really...

Big papi is hitting like .500 off of tigers pitching this year. We did get 4/7 from them though.

This is gonna be good. If Sanchez has his shyt working, he's tough to hit...

Big papi is a cry baby cheater. Id worry more about the tigers offense. Fielder especially. He has to get going.

Pretty sure that had to do with race issues back then. Anyone who voted against allowing Rivera in would be drawn and quartered.

IIRC, there's never been a unanimous, first-ballot HOF selection. Even Babe Ruth wasn't and that's more or less the reason that there's always someone that doesn't vote a player in during their first year of eligibility.

Yes your right. Even thou mo is goat reliever, there will be a few who won't vote for him. It's ridiculous but that's baseball sometimes.

Aj Burnett did it for the yanks 1 year. It's painful watching miggy try and run. And hey, who said papi was a cry baby? Those checks weren't even close.

You serious bub? He definitely did on strike 2, 3 was closer but I think he did. It's left up to interpretation pretty much for the ump

And I'm shocked this is the first time we've faced Boston on the playoffs...

Well usually you'd face the yanks recently. It is strange thou. Not to sound like a dick, but this Boston strong thing is getting old. I actually wrote a paper on it for my final last semester

And napalm I've been meaning to ask you, do you do the broomstick stretch?

my shoulders don't allow me to do that...

What shoulder stretches and mobility work do you do? Very curious. I'm sure alot of external rotations, but I'm very intetested to as what else you do.

Super jealous your team is still in the playoffs and can be WS contenders. I'm still waiting on my Reds to pull through and win one. That day the heavens will open, baconators, Grizzley, Jack Daniels, and gorgeous women with perfect glutes and tatters will fall from the sky.

It's late and I can dream right?

We were supposed to be here, we gotta win it before mr illitch dies...

No hitter would have been sweet, but they won thsts the important thing

Just saw this. Before any benching I do 50 internal/external rotations. Since Sean sent me some mobility books by Robertson, I've also been working the posterior capsule w a tennis ball too.

At my age it's about being smart about volume more than anything else.

But by far the most important movement I do is face pulls. I try to do 5:1 face pulls to pressing movements.

Thanks bud. Ill do face pulls. I've had a shoulder problem since my pitching days. Pair that with working out piss poor form for a year and developing bicep/ shoulder tendonitis in feb, it's been a struggle for me

The pitching is amazing. 14 innings and 1 hit. Do I think it's the Red Sox players slumping a little too? Yes, but Sanchez was very good and scherzer is just nasty tonight.

Now 5-0. It's still early, but Damn looks like tigers will go 2-0

Yeah, that was the goal - to split. But why the fck would anyone groove a first pitch into Papi's wheelhouse? Stupid.

Today is going to be unrack 405 around 10 or so times and really work on foot position.

The Achilles is still bothering me quite a bit. Weds ought to be interesting. Looking into either taping it or getting an Achilles' tendon strap by Cho-Pat.

Have you got it examined yet?
other than emailing back and forth w the surgeon, no. I'm pretty sure it's the insertional Achilles tendonitis.

I'll know a lot more weds, my only concern at this point is if I'm gonna get hurt, I want it to be in Prague...

True man. Any improvement since those exercises?

No, but I can find a groove that minimizes the aggregation. I'll put it to the test weds .

And just for troop, I'm gonna tie my shoes.

I don't think just unracking is going to bother it...

Unracked 405 prolly 20 times today, but only half of them were worth a shyt. I was working to do the same thing every time, like left foot under, right foot under then out, out. I dunno, still couldn't seem to get my feet right consistently. Alex will be of help in that dept when I get there.

I don't know what you're supposed to looks for but here is one of the last ones:

Invalid Link Removed

I'm telling ya, 405 feels fcking heavy. I think out of the 20 reps, I was in a position to squat like 10-12 of them.

Not good enough...

And I couldn't resist the temptation to rip off 5 w 135 when I was stripping the bar.

No pain, I found the groove...

Looked good man. I stand behind it and grab the bar where I want my hands, then lean forwards under it and position it on my back. I feel that helps me build a shelf. Then I'll get my right leg set with my hips still behind the bar, then set my left foot. By then tension is built up in my hamstrings. I push my hips into it and lift off.

It feels heavy now but you won't even be thinking of it when you're on the platform. You've had it on your back 20 times. 405 is yours.

If I have to walk the weight out, it's a lot easier to stand with your feet close together. If you're using the mono, then where you're at is fine. I'd say maybe put it down a pin and really get those knees OUT. Even if you lean forward when you squat, try to get very upright on the unrack.

I do what Sean does, set my hands, lean back, row it into me tightening the back, get air, duck, left foot under, right foot under, set feet, wiggle, tighten, wiggle, air, go.

Sometime I think my hips were in front of the bar too much, sometimes they were behind the bar. It looks like the one i taped I went with my feet wide from the start.

Gotta get into a repeatable routine. I'm anal like that, it will help me.

I'll do some more after I squat weds. I'm just gonna do singles up to around my opener.

And I think the bar traveled up about an inch and a half up off the pins...

Thanks herder, it was either that pin, or 3 - 4 inches down, I felt like that was too much so I had it where it was.

Fck, I don't think knees out even entered my mind today I was so worried about my feet..

I'd think you're gonna want the bar lower, then. Gotta give room for the hooks to clear. I usually line the bar up with my nips for a monolift. Yeah, definitely knees out on the unrack. It's always easy to get your air and get your knees out when you're not carrying the weight. That's what makes monolifts give you so much more weight, you can get your air and get upright without any weight on your back.

how tall are you? 3 inches would be at my nips if standing straight.

I'm not walking it out either, less chance of screwing up the Achilles that way...
