myth or a fact?!

Ok i know that may sound a stupid question, but i heard that oat meal GI value changes when you grind it; GI valuse increase because when oats are grinded you can digest them faster, and body absorp them fast causing an insulin spike!!!

no carb is effected by grinding it. carbs GI controlled by metabolic pathway via cell metabolism, and respiration, not by mechanical process like grinding.
 
this thread made me think of something else about oatmeal.

what about the GI of cooked oats compared to raw? wouldnt raw have a lower GI level?
