HAHA, that's why I love living in Florida baby! Even though I'm not in one of the big cities (love Miami!), when it's hot here it's a lot harder for people to hide under extra clothing!

Very true. I'm reasonable, but I could not wait a year on it. Month or two tops. I always kid and say the best piece I ever had was wonderful. But I have a very high sex drive and need a woman the same. If she doesn't, it would not work out.

I am the shutdown type. And you're right in calling it "snobbed". It is kind of a snobby thing to do. But when someone walks up to me, looks me up and down and licks their lips like the want to eat me and then says they want to buy me a drink... I puke a little in my mouth. Hahah just kidding but really, I have no time for that.

Now if someone comes at me real! That is refreshing and I will give him a few minutes. If he continues to bring it, he will get my time... but really guys like that are few and far between.
 
Looks aren't everything. Looks will fade for both male and female. Then what do you have?
It really is what's on the inside if you are looking for a long term relationship. And the "dating up" thread is a good one to read if you haven't.

Florida and California, I swear...all of the beautiful people migrate south.

As far as lines, you get all of the typical ones. Then there are the guys that clam up and ask me something like "what's your favorite color"... I mean are you freaking kidding me? Really? Man. I am a snob. :worried: I just want to meet my leonidas ya know?

Totally read that thread, and completely agree. I've got a nice body but my face is just plain and simple. Not ugly, not hot. Just normal so I have no delusions about needing a super hot guy to match me or something. And to be honest, my ex doesn't have a great body at all but he turns me on like you wouldn't believe just because he is confident and we have chemistry.

Well... yeah, guys that do that deserve to get shot down as it's creepy as f%*#. Honestly, if a girl came up to me and did that, I'd be suspicious... not of her wanting to jump me in a good way, but of wanting to JUMP me... as in her and some burly :crackhead: a$$holes attempting to rob me at the end of the night!

Honestly, I don't know what "the typical ones" are because I've never used them, but I'd love to hear some so that next time I'm out I can listen out for them... hell I could make a game out of it... every corny cliche pickup line that I hear, take a shot! Unless you're talking about ones I've heard as just corny joke pickup lines like you see in movies when they're trying to portray a character as straight up cheesy/sleazy.

As for Leonidas... i think he'd say something along the lines of, "WOMAN, I'M HERE TO GIVE YOU MY SEED!" :laugh:

haha YES! If a girl treated you initially the way most guys approach me... it would make you feel dirty. I mean, maybe you'd like it, but really it makes me feel LESS attractive instead of flattered.
I had someone come up to me a couple weeks ago and said "excuse me miss (looking at my EYES btw) I mean no disrespect and don't mean to take up your time, but you are beautiful." After he said that he started to turn around, so I stopped him. Even though that was probably just him PLAYING like he wasn't trying to get some, it worked because it made me smile and didn't make my skin crawl.

Lets take a step back here:

You are frustrated because most of the men who you meet in bars are full of bad pick-up lines, and <gasp> they want to get into your pants?

When I was a single male I went to bars to get laid, not find a woman who I had actual chemistry with or would want to settle down with. The last time I checked this is still the case with single males.

The truth is that you will probably not ever meet your Leonidas in a bar, because Leonidas wouldn't be caught dead in the bar scene nor would his modern contemporaries (unless of course he was in the mood for some no strings attached sex, which unless I am mistaken is the kind of sex that you are unwilling to have).

Get out of the bars, be yourself, and you will see that good men are not too hard to find.

Do you think alot in bed too, like one small detail could be not to your taste and you become disinterested? "In bed" is like the one time I don't think. I love it. Well that and riding motorcycles. Both of those things are like joy and freedom to me. I am actually pretty shy, sweet, giving in "real life" despit my sass and crazy libido posted all over this thread. So I enjoy a man who knows what he's doing so I can just go with it, obviously not having a lot of partners I'm not very experienced so I like him to take the lead. If he wants me to than I will but it's not my preference... make sense?

I am not saying that you are an idiot, I didn't want it to seem that way. Ultimately what I was trying to say is try not to be so hung up on this, because this will only add to your frustration.

As far as your standards, there is nothing wrong with having standards, just understand this: No man (or woman) will be able to make their partner 100% happy all of the time. I guarantee if you find that 6' tall, funny, athletic, oral sex giving, guy he will still have one or two disagreeable traits i.e. bad gas, momma's boy, narcissistic personality, married, etc.
