To help clear up some of the statements that have been made about Dr. Crisler I offer my personal expierence and perspective. I had my consultation yesterday (5-12-08).
I'll be the first to admit when I had read some of the initial statements here I became a bit worried that my meeting with Dr. Crisler wasn't going to be what I had wanted. But after reading his replies to the remarks that were said about him I became a bit more relaxed knowing he wasn't someone that was going to take criticism laying down. My previous experience with specialist have never went well in the past so I was still a bit nervous.
Upon my arrival to the office I was greeted by a warm (and beautiful) smile from Kim. She asked if I wanted any water and advised me how long of a wait before I met with the doc (15 minutes and the couch in the lounge was very comfortable).
Upon meeting with Dr. Crisler I was intrigued with how tentavely he listened to me and what my experiences had been. We chatted, we got a feel for who each other was and he advised me of my protocol. I should note that my PCP had already put me on 100 mg of Test Cyp a week prior to my consult. I was diagnosed with my ailment about 6 months ago and I wanted to the best treatment. My PCP admitted she knew very little about TRT which is why I went looking for an expert. I feel pretty lucky, Dr Crisler is an hours drive for me.
Dr. Crisler gave me information to read with suggestions on diet and nutrition. The labs he ordered were discussed between he and I as to which ones were needed for me (no cookie cutter approach for me!!!).
Overall I am absolutely thrilled that I made the decision to go and see him. I wasn't treated as just another patient or made to feel I was an inconvience to his time. I was treated as and individual. My recommendations for anyone wishing to seek treatment will first and foremost be for Dr. Crisler.
Many thanks to Dr. Crisler and his staff (my god I'm jealous of the beautiful women he has working there...what a lucky SOB).
If anyone ever has any questions please feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns.
Thanks Doc
