Muscletech sue's forum members

I thought they only sued company reps, isn't that right?

"company reps" and "consumers" are synonymous. Company reps are simply consumers who share their opinion on a company's products. If they are employees of an involved company, then that may be a different situation. The assumption, on my part, is that reps are simply consumer advocates of particular brands.

There are a few reps that are claiming that they get compensation of some type, be it, monetary or free products.

I'm not an attorney, so I am not sure how much connection an individual would need with a firm in order to be considered legally connected to it. It is simply an person being on payroll? Independent rep. status? Full-time? Part-time? I just don't know.

I personally think this is all just hype and nothing will happen unless a company did, in fact, infringe on MT's patent(s). Patent infringement is one thing, but slander is a whole different ballgame.

I call bluff on MT (and parent co.).

How can one sue for patent infringement based on technology and ingredients that are made up?

You can sue for anything. Whether or not you win is a different story. I think the tactic at hand here is legal bullying by MT & parent co. They have the $ to go through lawsuits while these smaller companies (those being sued) have to spend a lot of $ in legal defense. This can be the end of a company.

It's similar to a Microsoft vs. Mom & Pop Shop software developer. If MS wanted to squash them, they'd just have to attempt to sue them for something. Small businesses don't have the $ to put up a fight, or if they do, it's not enough to compete against an 800lb. gorilla.

MT can suck my ball sweat. No wait they might use it for a new product.
These jerks have entirely too much money that they can try these bully tactics. Just another reason to not use their products. :FUfinger:

MuscleTech seems like they're set on just trying to eliminate the competition in the industry, and not really because of patent's on some over-priced, over hyped, under dosed junk they call a supplement ingredient profile.

MOD EDIT: YOU CAN'T SAY THAT ON A PUBLIC FORUM!

i think its funny...i mean how many "l hate muscletech" posts and threads does one have to read in one day. you can push someone so far. this probably never would of happened people trying to enlighten newbs would reframe from using select phrases as "fuk MT" and "MT licks donkey balls". sure they are overpriced (that is at GNC - RETAIL) where as they are more competitive at wholesalers but still slightly high. they may also have outlandish claims (as do so others), but a wise man once said there is a sucker born everyday. some people just need to learn the hard way, i mean if you actually believe that crap then goodluck, i'm not losing sleep over their ignorance, nor am i hating a company for doing what they do (making money) or their sponsered atheletes for the emblem on their shirt...i would give my left nut to have a endorsement check from MT every month...and so would you!!!

agreed... let them learn the hard way.

If there is no tax documents showing employment, and the only thing suggesting it is the almighty signature on a web forum, how can that case even move forward.

If the company says person X is not an employee, and person X says they are not an employee, and there is no documents saying otherwise...???

Perhaps moving forward, reps should demand to be on the payroll, even if its at like $1 a week, just so they are covered by the company's legal team.

There are numerous definitions for employee but it's clear that one would have a wage/salary. Even then there are subcontractors etc. Think of it this way. If I got carpel tunnel would I be able to claim workman's compensation? Does the company I rep for have to carried insurance on me? Lets say for example you get 3-4 products monthly for answering questions. That will easilly be under $75 (manufactured cost) for 1 months work. This also would fall under minimum wage standards if reps are considered employees. It is very obvious to me reps do not meet the requirements for employees. Now I know some reps are actual employees but this is far and few.

at least some supps they have to receive cause if not, whats the point of being a rep?
push products that sometimes don't worth a sh*t, make some sad figures when the company have bunk products or mislabeled, etc, all this for free???????????
only for dumb people, IMO

and by the way if they are not employees, they will be treated like regular costumers on court, so MT will not win the case, so this is not a big deal for them

This is a different matter really. I never understood why someone would rep for a shady company or a company that produces crappy products. Reps should believe in the company and products they rep. It's obvious to me that some reps are not so bright when they rep for a company that produces crap. Then again there are typically a huge amount of trading between reps. Anyway reps receive products only except for a few companies and those are usually larger companies that have employee reps. You notice Iovate targeted small companies.

I just clicked through a bunch of Iovate and MT stuff, looking to see what patents apply to each product, and then reading the patents....dude, they have a lot of stuff under patent...I was shocked. Cissus and green tea for weight control , Saw Palmetto for various purposes, Formulas for weight control that have an AM and PM combination, creatine formulas with ALA and or a Carb ...eye opening to say the least.

heres what i have to say about muscle tech and all of there stupid overpriced, worthless products..........:FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger::FUfinger:

Q: What are the best supplements that I can use for potential lean muscle, and how should I use it throughout the day? Thanks.

“First you need a good protein powder and Nitro-Tech Hardcore is the best. Take a couple of scoops two or three times a day. ANABOLIC HALO is also another incredible product for muscle growth – it makes you anabolic so your body has no choice but to put on muscle. I take it right after my workout.”

Apparently, Nitro-Tech Hardcore is 24 times more powerfull than my standard whey protein...

My standard whey protein can only deadlift 100 pounds, which means that Nitro-Tech Hardcore can pull over 2400 pounds.

That is just f*cking impressive! I need to order some of that shiz.

A couple of scoops 2-3 times a day? Ha,I only use 3 scoops max a day of my regular boring whey.

As Dexter puts it, “ANABOLIC HALO is so powerful that after every serving it's almost as if I can feel my muscle growing!”

Hilarious.

well I`m not a MT hater, in fact I think that some of their products have their place in the market but I think this stuff was really very good, lmao:rofl:

I agree. I don't think Muscletech's products are bad. I mean I am sure you would see good gains using their products. My problem with them is their absurd marketing and high prices.

When a company lies in their ads...I can't trust them. I want to trust a company when I put their products in my body everyday.

I mean if I take Anabolic Halo my muscles have no choice to grow? Like my muscles are saying,"I don't want to grow since you just drank boring whey." Then if you take anabolic halo they are like,"Damn. I don't want to grow but I have no choice!!!"

Muscletech preys on people being uninformed and uneducated. That's not cool.

Lets see I will agree that MT stuff is bad. And I have never sh*t :dump: myself so much on NO-Vapor. Most of the time can even finish my workout with out haveing to take a crap then start again. Not good stuff!!!
