To answer the first question: Yes. Brett Favre will be extremely relevant. He'll be relevant in the fact that he'll be playing for a winning team. He's playing for a good team and does not have to do much on his own to be successful. It's Adrian Peterson's team. The Vikings are a running team that now has a big passing threat. They have very good receivers that can go get the ball down the field in Bernard Berrian and now even in Percy Harvin. They have such an explosive offense with such good talent that if Adrian Peterson runs the ball 25+ times a game and Favre throws the ball down the field a couple of times a game, they are going to be one of the best teams in the league. Yes, Favre will throw his interceptions from all the home-run balls he throws, but he now has receivers that work in his favor and can just flat-out out-run the defense, making his throws have to be less perfect and leading to less interceptions this year. I see his passing yards going down slightly as opposed to other years, but his interceptions will go down a bit as well. I really think this is going to be one of his better seasons in terms of efficiency and passer-rating. As for the other question, it's really a mixed bag. He still has the tools and the skills to be able to play at a high level, and for that reason he shouldn't go away. However, I think what he did with the Vikings really caused a lot of internal problems because he couldn't just give them an answer in the first place. Then, he made things worse and decided to just sign after training camp was over. That's really not the way to win over friends and be one with your teammates. He got babied, but it's the Vikings fault for letting him do that in the first place. When it's all said and done, I think everyone will forget that because Favre and the Vikings will be winning a lot of games. I don't like what Favre did, but I certainly love to see him on the field and so do the Vikings fans. Their ticket sales went up dramatically with his signing. It's a win-win for that team with the money he's bringing in and all the wins he's going to get. I say Favre should keep playing as long as he's able to help a team win.
