Movies that made you tear up

Ok,tough guys. Let's have some fun and see which movies make us tear up.

For whatever reason, ending of "Saving Private Ryan" gets me every time. The part where Ryan transforms to an old man and reflects back on his life.
 
First one that came to mind is Lord of the Rings, in Return of the King at the end when Sam has to say goodbye to Frodo.
 
I won’t go through my list since I’m obviously not a “tough guy”...but what about the green mile? That’s the first one that popped in my head!
 
Oh another one, i used to watch it often when I was a kid.
Homeward Bound: Incredible Journey.

Used to watch it with my dog who unfortunately isnt here anymore.
 
Not big into anime like I was as a kid, but Grave of the Fireflies is a damn masterpiece and probably the saddest movie I’ve ever seen
 
For the most part any movie where a father experiences what true love is through his children. Those moments get me in the feels.
 
the end of planes, trains and automobiles when steve martin invites john candy to spend thanksgiving with his family.

That movie is so sad. Oh, let's watch a Ghibli movie those are usually enjoyable...wtf. It really is an incredible movie that is probably overlooked by many because it's animated.

That was one of them and wasn't expecting it either. Great movie with a message... Not your normal fare for him, while on his movies Reign On Me got me in the feels too! Actually showed he has some acting chops when not just being a silly ass.
Hell Big Daddy got me too when they were taking the little boy away from him and the kid cried.

Crap I am just a relatively sensitive dude. LOL
 
Thought it was a good idea to show my kids The Neverending Story a few weeks ago. Cried 25 years ago when Artax died, and still cried again 3 weeks ago. Dammit. 🤬

Resurrecting an older thread here, but Toy Story 3 and Terminator 2 got some water works going. Also ending of Saving Private Ryan and to a lesser extent Good Will Hunting - just some amazing acting by Robin Williams in that one, and knowing he’s no longer with us makes it that much more poignant.
 
The ending of Pulp Fiction always gets me, though nothing particular sad happens.
Guess it's a really good movie.
 
Les miserables, the hugh Jackman version, omg I'm balling my eyes out snot streaming out my nose the works. Moulin rouge with nicole Kidman and ewan McGregor. Any love story, inspirational films, people with disabilities overcoming adversity and being brave. Jeez I cry a lot

God, that was awful. In recent years, Million Dollar Baby hit me hard. Had no idea that was coming. I just thought it was a boxing movie. Great movie but I'll never watch it again. As a real little kid, Kramer vs Kramer got me. It made me fear my parents getting a divorce which thankfully they never did. I still carry a bias against Meryl Streep for her role in that movie. Again, as a kid Terms of Endearment got me. Thought of losing a loved one to cancer. As I've gotten older, it doesn't even take a sad movie so much as a powerfully emotional movie to get me going. Antoine Fisher w/Derek Luke and Denzel is powerful as is St. Vincent w/Bill Murray and Melissa McCarthy.
 
I've watched some movies with my wife and holy cannoli I was questioning my estradiol levels there a few times.
Glad to know I'm not the only big baby in here. :D

So this is an evergreen thread, so why not revive it,

I guess my estrogen must be high, because i watched Ford V Ferrari (2019) and at the end when Shelby visits family of recently deceased Miles to give his son the wrench Miles threw at him once i was borderline tearing up.

Especially the part where his son seemed more or less over it, but Shelby, a grown man, trying to stay collected, says how he was his friend, even though he maybe didnt show that very explicitly while Miles was alive (but secretly put absolutely everything including his company at stake because of the trust he had towards Miles) and then Shelby tears up, that right there is the part that almost got me.

Because it shows just how powerful friendship bond can be.
