I was at a grand opening helping out the other day, and I had a group of marines come in and ask 'hey, yall got the strap'? Me and my buddy wanting to go in half on it.' I told him to give me 80bucks and Id slap him in the face and we'd call it even. Actually, I told him to never buy a fizogen product and if he got really close to doing so, just read the ingredient label on their 'underground anabolics'(cee, aakg, caffiene, etc..)

Honestly man, I sell ON's protein and Gaspari more than anything else. Its not the highest paying items, but it results in repeat customers and Im actually giving people good products(still insanely overpriced). I actually have started handing out flyers for RPM to some of my more educated customers that actually understand that supplements arent miracle-workers.

Supplement companies are responsible for figuring that out not me. That's what they are getting paid to do. When 2 'self-proclaimed experts' (not Muscle-Tech) put together a product like Gaspari Liquigels it makes me wonder how much of an 'expert' they really are.

I don't think they stated in their marketing that it would produce the same gains. A wise consumer (who is of course 21 years or older) would look beyond the similar names when it comes to supplements, don't you reckon?

I surely dont think Halodrol liquigels belong on that list. They actually do something and the name is similar but at least its the same company. Its not like its someone trying to knock off someone elses product. Only someone with little knowledge would be fooled into buying them thinking they were halodrol-50. I mean there are so many other horrible supplements out there that would have halo liquigels beat as most worthless hands down. I still would never buy any of those.

I say liquidgels, I ran Halodrol-50 and loved it when I saw Liquid gels I was pumped then I read the ingredients and gave it back to the guy behind the counter.
But don't rag on Fizogen. I gained 50 lbs on the
17-oil bol on/off STRAP on cycle. and that was just in my pecker.

I think that the only reason that we would put Halodrol Liquigels in this list is because of what Gaspari named them. Had he called them something else, it might be on a list of fairly decent non-hormonal products. Novadex XT is a good test booster/anti-e in my opinion, but again he tried bumping his sales by using the name of an existing illegal serm. What really pisses me off about the bodybuilding culture in general is that, for example, Fizogen actually got a pro bodybuilder to do an add praising the strap as the holy grail of strength and mass gains. Nobody has any pride any more. If I were a pro body builder, I would only advertise with companies whose products I actually used myself. Gespari's creatine products, superpump and sizeon, were the only two creatine products that ever did anything for me. I'd still give the liquigels a try, and if they work, they work. Who cares what they name them. I think that it is wrong for them to claim that a person will get the same gains as the original H-50, but somebody who gets "tricked" into buying the liquigels because of that will at least get something for their money, unlike the 120 bucks that I dropped on a couple of tubs of muscletech's anator p70. The other thing I like about Gespari Nutrition is that Gespari is a real person who was runner up a couple years in the Mr. Olympia, and he puts the research up on his site, comparing hormone levels of control groups vs. research groups. Everybody is out to make money, however, and if you read some of the advertisements, I don't feel sorry for suckers losing their money. Was it AMS that put out this ad saying that they were disclosing classified information to a select few special people with certain parts blacked out so as to not create a spending frenzy and prevent people from killing eachother during a stampede to the supplement shop? I'll tell you guys something, I don't give a f&#k how good that supplement/pro-hormone is, they don't deserve a dime for being so frickin retarted with their advertisement, and anyone with half a brain take their money elsewhere until the company started treating us with some respect. Muscletech is the supplement company for those guys that you'll see in the gym for about three weeks before they get bored and go back to smoking dope and watching downloaded simpsons reruns. The more secure companies are those that make products that we'll be taking after two years of lifting and educating ourselves about the iron game and nutrition. We've all been suckered in by Muscletech. Question is, where are we now?

Good grief. I will light a candle for you in liu of your Muscle-Tech purchase. I was wondering the same thing for along time too about the pros and what they sponsor. If you think Jay Cutler won Mr. Olympia from Aplodan you got bigger problems in your life than weightlifting. While it is easy for us to call them out, bodybuilding is their career. They make a living off it. Bodybuilding there is not much money either in it. I mean if you compare it to pro football, baseball, whatever it dosen't even begin to compare. I'm sure the backup 3rd string quarterback probably gets paid more than Jay Cutler.

Reaper: You make great points but these companies don't have the necessity to produce effective products because they know that what you market is more important than what you sell. If Muscle-Tech loses a ton of money because everyone suddenly got smart and only took products that worked and were reasonably priced then they would have to improve or go out of business. It's very frustrating to see this happens because many of the innovative companies have a bigger mountain to climb

Definitly. People have different expectations when it comes to a product. Take for example clothing. You can either get durable clothes that last a long time, or something that is 'name brand' that is probably less of quality. The packaging, marketing, and even the bottle play a integral part in sales.
Muscle-Tech is nothing more than a cleverly marketed company that produces basic junk and spend nearly all their money sponsoring IBFF pros and making these incredibly stupid articles in magazines.
I really don't understand WHY people don't expect better quality supplements, but for some reason they dont....which is a damn shame.

I have an unlabeled bottle filled with leftover stims and misc thermogenics. Most of which are from Muscletech or (eek) Muscleology, even a few 24 hr fitness brand 'apex' fat burners.
As for the products listed in the poll...
I'll leave it to the experts.

However no one here can name a supplement company where every one of their products produced is #1 in its class. Otherwise I will give credit where credit is due, and say that Gaspari is atleast putting real research into alot of their products. You can't say that about most companies these days, large or small.
Secondly wether or not a supplement works or not really depends on ones diet and workout. Alot of people that use certain sports supplements either A. don't eat the right foods for the results they are looking for, or B. either don't train enough or most importantly don't train properly.
I'm sure if a supplement is legit it should do SOMETHING, but without the above mentioned being in place, I wouldn't expect much anyways.

Actually, Gaspari stated that in 'beta trials' users gained 10-15lbs. When that is being said how do you expect consumers to react to that ?
I'd rather a company give realistic results, and stop playing on outliers who 'gained 15lbs' in one month.
Most likely what happened is they took a bunch of underfed/starving Somalian kids, gave them Liquigels, then took them out to a buffet for every meal for one month.

He never finished it (still has some caps sittin' about his apartment), but his deadlift honestly went up about 50lbs with "flourbol". He was struggling with 275lbs when he started, and was repping 315 when he finished.

As for my input, I can't admit to taking any of these things. But looking at ingredients, ratios and such, they all do seem to be extremely overpriced. I don't have a load of cash to blow on supplements every week like some people do, so I research everything I buy very well. In my wanderings through various boards and marketplaces, I can honestly say that I've spent a total of maybe 5 minutes reading on each of these. That was enough to discredit them and then move on.
