Most Effecient Carb for AP

I read a lot of people are having bad reactions to low carb diet + AP.

I'm "trying" to cut...so.....

What's the most effecient carb intake for AP?

I'm lookin for something...
- not to expensive
- small amounts
- quick and easy (something like my x)


Suggestions from this thread:

- Ezekiel Cereal
- Kashi's Organic Promise Cereal- 44g carbs.
- Brown Rice
- Whole Wheat Pasta
- Sweet Potato
- Buckwheat
 
I like to use Ezekiel Cereal for my carb source while I am cutting. I use it in place of oatmeal. Good stuff, only downfall is it is about $5 a box for it. It can be found at Health Food & Natural Food Stores.
I sure there are others out there as well, but the Ezekiel is the one that I prefer to use.
 
It has been recommended before, but I never looked into it...

I'm doing low-carb with DCP and AP. I only dose AP a couple times a week when I do refeeds, so I havent really hit any of the "bad reactions." So really, AP isnt a major part of my cut plan right now...I've tried going the higher carb route with AP and DCP, but it was not preventing my stomach from bloating with carb meals. The beta YG did, but AP doesnt for some reason.

So, I only dose AP when I need a refeed.

good idea...i might just do that maybe the last 4 weeks of my 12 weeks cycle....low carb and use only ap on refeeds..

So far so good. Tha two biggest differences I've noticed aside from using R-ALA as I have done in tha past is tha increase in vascularity and lack of next day bloat.

There are still things I'm trying to figure out though as I'm not seeing much of a weight drop on scale. This could be one of two things: I'm either recomping via hyper anabolism on those refeed days or I'm just eating a little too much... I admit, I have gotten a bit carried away as of late.

I guess time will tell.
 
any low GI carb combined with AP should be fine - the higher the Gi the more AP has to be utalized for that serving of carbs. Where talking a cut here so AP is only going to enhance your Low GI benefits as well as burning more fat then if you where to take in a Higher GI carb.
 
I'd like to see someone run AP with Waxy Maize Starch, personally. Any thoughts from the USP guys?
 
A day or few meals of higher carbs. When dieting with low carbs eventually these will come into play but not until your down to 10% or under - also it depends on the style of dieting you are using - CKD's, 40/40/20 will all be different amounts and times of refeeds - some also consider refeeds a day of higher cals all together.

If you like WMS already the addition of AP turns it into SWMS(super waxy maize starch).!

This stuff looks excellent....I luv Kashi's products and had been using their TLC Chewy Granola bars for a quick and easy complex carb source but I think I'll have to switch.

An AP+WMS combo sale would sell out way faster than WMS did on its own. Unbeatable combination.
 
Has anyone done a test of 0 carb + AP?

I am tempted to try it but I turn into a carb devouring beast when I fast carbs for too long. I get into a carb frenzy and blackout. Then I wake up naked in a bakery with half eaten breads/pastries/cakes everywhere.

I have tried AP with zero carbs. Was asleep in less than an hour.

Tested 0 carb AP this morning. It looked a little something like this...

Off Day

8:00am
- Invalid Link Removed
- 1 AP
- 25oz of Green Tea (1 bag)

8:35am

- 1000 crunches...0 pain...0 cramps...I usually feel pretty thrashed after this. But I feel 100% ok...(debated doing another 1000 :think: )
- Didn't feel sleepy...


9:30am
- 25oz of Green Tea (1 bag)


1:30pm
No food...no sugar....felt fine all day. Finally had a salad (spring mix+romaine hearts+turkey+ceasar lite).
 
Kashi Go Lean + walnuts + almonds in a ziplock bag are my 'on the go' snack.

I got some of the Kashi Go Lean from my local Sams Club and it taste pretty however I will worn you with the fiber content in it you maybe spending some extra time on the old thrown if you know what I mean.
 
FWIW i've been using AP primarily with my two favourite carb sources (brown rice and oats) for a couple of weeks and it seems to be working great so far!
