I had ordered these for my wife to give me for xmas (when Breezy mentioned they were 50% off). They came the other day, and she scooped them from me when I was paying the UPS brokerage fee. Last night she said you might as well just have this, as there is no sense wrapping it when you know what it is. Didn't have to tell me twice!
What!? Half off!? Gd itwould have gotten some for forty bucks.
Yes, mind you with the 20 bucks shipping and then 17 at the door from UPS... I paid full price lol.
Looking swole. Glad to see you so excited with your first MD session. Mine will be this weekend if not sooner!
I absolutely FUKIN LOVE high intensity, short rest, muscle burning, vein popping, iron crushing gd lifting sessions. GVT was KILLING ME! Long ass boring rest periods. FUK THAT! MD Day one was a great change of pace. Now I wont go any further then that regarding the effectiveness so far of the program. The increased weights and shorter rest periods are irregular to me now since Ive been on GVT for about six weeks so I cant honestly give an opinion yet. That being said today was one of my best sessions in a long time. Im a high intensity guy and today worked out perfectly in that regard. Rope Pushdowns ss Dumbbell Curls (2 second hold on pushdowns) 80x15 35'sx15 100x12 35'sx15 110x12 35'sx15 Dumbell Kickbacks (6 normal 6 palm up, the palm up is impossible to do with bigger dbs.......any suggestions here? Its just a shytty position IMO) ss Seated DB Curls (Palms up entire time) ss Bent Over Rope Extension (No rest between exerciese and about 30 seconds rest between kickbacks and extensions) 35's 6x6 35'sx8 90x12 35's 6x5 35'sx8 100x11 35's 6x6 35'sx8 100x11 35's 6x6 35'sx8 100x12 Standing BB Curl (3 second negative, going heavier next time) ss Dip Machine (3 second negative, could go heavier but the machine puts me in a bad position and kills my shoulder) ss Preacher Curl Machine (2 second hard contraction) no rest between exercises just moving straight through 60x8 270x8 75x8 60x8 270x8 80x7 60x8 270x8 80x7 60x8 270x8 80x7 Hanging leg raises 20 18 16 15 15 14

Man if you got all 6 on the palms up kickbacks at 35 you Sir are a baaadddd man! Question are you stopping the weight at the bottom at the 90 degree then going back up or allowing some forward movement? The biggest difference you will ever make on a kickback is to not allow any forward movement once your forearm is perpendicular to the floor. I always see guys letting the DB go forward and using the returning momentum to start the kick back. Definitely not the way to go about this exercise. It is one that heavier weight is not the goal because you have already shortened the muscle making it work twice as hard without having any stretch to spring off of.
Arms look great by the way!
I have Titan Knee Sleeves on the way and the Band set I plan to get some Inzer Elbow sleeves later.
@breezy11 any suggestion on the Palm up kickbacks? I've done then with the top of my hand facing the ceiling at the top of contraction but palm up at the top is damn near impossible.
Yeah, pronated kickbacks are pretty awkward at first. I'd just use less weight (20-25lbs is usually what I stick with). You'll get a solid contraction once you get the hang of them.

The elbows out a little arent too bad just keeping the elbow elevated high enough is the real kicker. Even 25s had me failing. No forward momentum no. Dead stop at the bottom with a 90 degree bend. The dumbbells are not clearing my sides though when I keep my arm against my body. Tried holding the inside of the dumbbell closest to my body but the weight twisted my tiny wrists all to shyt. So I had to flare the elbow out some and that made me lose all tension on the intended muscle groups. I might have to do these with a cable handle.......
If you plan to PL raw then get sleeves not wraps. No use in getting used to wraps then moving to a sleeve. Totally different feel a sleeve offers support and a wrap offers spring. Was thinking of going with sleeves instead of wraps to start actually
Yeah I had to drop to 20s my last set.Yeah, pronated kickbacks are pretty awkward at first. I'd just use less weight (20-25lbs is usually what I stick with). You'll get a solid contraction once you get the hang of them.

Oh I'm supposed to do both sides at the same time? Wooooops lol.
GVT has long rests?
GVT has long rests?
Well it doesn't when I do it. But we are supposed to take time at the end of each superset.
I wasn't really breaking either. How much time do they suggest taking?
The program calls for ninety seconds rest periods between super sets. If you are going all out you most likely need all of those seconds lol. Nit saying you weren't going all out Simon![]()
in other news...
snags is starting to come into his own here, gentlemen :yup:
big time movement in appearance over last couple days, looks like diet has finally caught up and kicked into tangible results

I been in roughly same spot all along, maybe dropping/adding here & there for a brief time, but overall fairly consistent ~4800-5k on WO days/4400-4500 on rest daysCan you divulge where your cals are currently sitting ?
