Great session today. The Hammer Strength Shoulder Press had an amazing pump going on in my shoulders. Anyone who hasn't tried these while facing the back pad should do so immediately. I have always done them heavy and not during GVT, but they shine for this program. You're gonna have to reduce weight compared to regular presses though.

I liked I liked :) went pretty light since I was smoked from the GVT presses. The angle change makes a world of difference.

Glad you're gonna follow along big man. Me and this old meathead Snagency are gonna be putting down an epic battle. Just waiting for him to catch up :)

I thought I remembered you saying a LONG time ago that you cut at 4000. Why so low then?

Hiding schmiding! Bring on the pics. LOL

Ehhhhhhhhhh no. Don't think I ever said that lol. 4000 would be an all out bulk.

My bad. Must have been a different person.

What's your tdee?

My TDEE at a guess of 8% bf is 3167. BMR 2303. These calculators are at best a "decent" guess though.

Today was a short on time lifting session so no GVT.

Cybex squats (trying to maximize time add much as possible)

270x12 x 5

Leg extension
210x9 x 4

Seated leg curl
150x8 x 4

That's it. Twenty five minutes with very little rest. Nothing to failure just short.

Do you do any cardio, Montana?

Do you do any cardio, Montana?

Fasted LISS before bed three times a week for twenty minutes. Followed by bcaa+saa and G8. I might start adding a day for the next few weeks just to keep things rolling along here though.

Fifteen minutes on the treadmill plus the walk to and from the fitness center done.

Little shorter time tonight since my legs were a bit wobbly from the workout today. Even though it was less volume the heavier weights made up for it.

Sipping on my blue raspberry BCAA+SAA and G8 then ima crash!

Slept great last night. Got about eight hours and didn't wake up once.

Chest and back thickness day today. Thinking about flat bench maybe but I haven't made up my mind yet.

Also I've got some Christmas shopping to do after. Just a couple small things I need to pick up then I'm all done! Yessssss. Up yours Santy Clause!

Here we go. I think it's almost time to switch up training routines. My intensity level in the gym is insane right now and I think the long rest periods between GVT sets are robbing me. Will be mulling this over tonight.

On a side note I have been nauseous all morning. Very annoying.

training for me this day: shoulders/traps/abs
tomorrow is a weird day, will be running hammy/tricep supersets
obviously I am breaking from DC structure for a bit, back into my own rotating thing for now

Nice I like to mix leg and arm training sometimes it can be a great combo. Both are completely fresh when you destroy them.

yeah it's just a bit odd, because I usually enjoy working both bi/tri together, and both quad/ham together
to split up each singly AND run them as supersets, is something I don't do very often at all
looking forward to it tho....love keeping things fresh!

The Supersets should be pretty awesome since no carry over between them, but yeah Bi's and Tri's together is just money!

So....send me this mountain dog training template do I can treat it apart. :)

Got some new kicks while I was Christmas shopping today. Found these on the clearance rack for thirty five bucks each.

You could have saved your money and gotten lifting shoes for almost the same price.

What are lifting shoes?

or just manned the f*ck up, and lifted raw with bare feet flintstones style, ftw --- and, free!
I agree to a certain extent, but part of the benefit of a lifting shoe, in the case of squats, is that will inherently aid in keeping the heels to the ground, which I showed in his other log he has problems with. His issue is most likely mobility related, and it could have something to do with his knee issues. A lifting shoe with a raised heel would benefit him greatly because his mobility is probably compromised. Just my $.02

(of course, if I had Montana's toes, I'd wanna keep them things covered up too) :p

You lift bare foot Steve?

...Montana you are going to freak Chris out the next time you lift with him if you wear those yellow ones (after his bee infestation).

I'm with ya
just giving monte a hard on..errr, I mean a hard time :yikes:

You lift bare foot Steve?
aye, I do now
yrs ago when I lifted in a gym, I experimented with squats in socks..rather liked it, but can be dangerous, especially when there are other ppl around
then when I started lifting in my garage, I did a couple times, but then just gravitated to working out in shoes all the time
now that I am in my crib on carpet, it's barefoot all the time for me -- love it!
