Microwaving food...Bad?

A friend of mine was telling me that microwaving anything will kill the nutritional value of food. Any thoughts on this?

Well it does have radioactive waves but I have not heard anything about killing the value of the food unless it says 2 min and you put in it for 10 I can see that being ruined ^_^
