I've actually read studies about melatonin taken preworkout increaseing GH, I think. I think there are a number of supplements that do increase GH, but not to a degree that effects body composition.
I can't see how taking melatonin preworkout could be a good idea. Melatonin is the chemical that signals you to become tired when it gets dark out. Maybe you are thinking of GABA?
Melatonin is also a powerfull antioxident. And I've read that it can be given to dogs for hair loss. I don't know much about the hair loss thing I just read about it on a boxer message board.
I actually sleep worse when I take Melatonin. I wake up several times during the night and have trouble falling back asleep. I don't have that problem normally, only when I take the supplement.

I had that problem too when I took 3mg. I buy the 1 mg and take half of it and that works good for me. I read somewhere that .3mg is the dose that should be used.
