Hey bros, I have an issue here with being completely shut down after my workouts(usually when I kill it) and wanted to ask you wether there is a supp that helps with that? All I take is whey and 3 caffeine pills before training. I train fasted. I feel good when I wake up, feel good when I go to the gym, feel great in the gym, but 20-30 minutes after my workout I feel like utter sh1t, don't want to do anything, but lying in bed like an imbecile. Any thoughts? I'm in slight caloric deficit but it's already like 1 month or so into it, so my body should've gotten used to it.

Just gotta find a way to get up and move around. If I sit on the couch for more than 20 minutes after the workout I'm out cold so I usually see if the wife wants to take a walk or go fishing or even just make myself more coffee. Just gotta try to keep moving till bedtime.

3 Caffeine Pills? What mg each? Most are 200mg (SNS, Jet Alert, No-Doze). 600mg would be a lot of CAF and you are probably crashing. Cut the dose to 200mg (or less). L-Theanine in a slightly higher dosage than the CAF, smooths out CAF crash.

Whoa, dudes, that's my bad. I was in a middle of a thought forming a sentence and wanted to say I spread 3 pills a day(Prolab caffeine pills) and take 1 in the morning before my workout and the rest through the day. How the hell did I end up with 3 pwo. Guess that state of complete inability to think or act after gym shows itself, lol

I got the same.exact.issue. Personally I address it to Gilbert's Syndrome, but it could be something different. I take Tr1umph,whey and Ign1te,but I know how a stim crush feels so it's not the burner. I'm also cutting and I'm in a sufficient caloric deficit as are you(I guess) and this lethargic state only hits me when I'm in a deficit. I don't thinkknow about any supps that could help with it, but quality sleep and meals should do it's thing

PS. 600mg if caffeine daily is a big dose. Anything that is more than 200 straight up kills me, so it might just be a crash.
PSS. Amers, I don't want to hijack anything, but this thread got me interested since I suffer from the same exact thing, but I don't take thath much caffeine, what do you think?

Seems like a caffeine crash. I would drop your dosage and see how that works out for you.

You dont mention your post workout meal. Are you feeding your body carbs/sugar/protein after your work out?

I do get a good post workout meal. I'm going very low on carbs, high protein and medium fat. Also it I considered it to be a caffeine crash, but isn't it strange that it only occurs after the wo at 200mg dose? Not after the full does

How low on carbs? If you're extremely low on carbs you may want to go high fat and medium protein and go into keto. If you're eating enough carbs to stay out of keto you can experience lethargy

Woody That might be the case, I do consume some carbs, but at very low amount with high amounts of protein

15-30 grams of carbs a day is hitting keto, if that's the route you want to go then raise your fats, if not you'll probably need to raise your carbs post work out, for best muscle recovery I've heard a 3:1 carb:protein, probably the reason for your lethargy that and all the atoms

except too high protein will kick you out of keto, so it can just be a low carb diet. NCAA recommends 2:1 c:p ratio for recovery for their athletes. More than likely you need to fix the diet situation OP

Forgot to add about protein it all depends on what you read, where and at what time!

Sounds like a combo of depleted carbs and crashing from caffeine.

Even though it's only 200mg, caffeine affects everyone differently. Maybe try lowering the dose and increasing carb intake and seek how that works for a few weeks.

Thank you very much guys for the input! I will lower the caffeine dose to just 1 pill before working out and try up my carb intake just a little and see how it goes! mtmrfz Hope you got some good info out here buddy, if you are experiencing same sh1t as I am, better get rid of that asap, lol

sounds like the keto flu if you ask me... doesn't matter what stimulants you take, you will feel drained..

I would get a high carb post workout drink with sugar/fructose and try it. Get a good one with BCAAs and protein. After I drink mine I feel "high" from the carb rush and post workout euphoria. No crash with a nice insulin spike to feed the muscles

You are tired because you train fasted. Your body has no fuel. Eat immediately after your workout or drink some carbs intra workout.
