Keep an eye out for adrenal fatigue though. Keep your rest days strictly rest days and go to bed early those days. If you stimulate your body when it is fatigued, then it will force the adrenal glands to work harder....
Your cortisol levels are supposed to be elevated in the morning and wind down to very little at night. When you start the day off with low cortisol you are going to have a hard time getting out of bed, as you force your body to stay active even later into the night you make your adrenals continue working, even later into the night. The adrenals need a break, over training and lack of sleep will tire them easily.
Somewhere around 30% of your total testosterone is produced in the adrenals. Feeding adrenal fatigue will contribute to much lower T.
Taking DHEA and Licorice extract in the mornings (only), should help to keep the adrenals from over working. Also, Standard Process sell dessicated adrenals pretty cheap and have helped some people I know.
Aging men are also more prone to adrenal fatigue, as the testicles loose function, more stress is shifted to the Adrenals to produce T and other hormones. That is why DHEA supplementation is very beneficial to older men as opposed to younger men.
Lastly, if you suspect extreme or heavy fatigue upon rising in the morning and plenty of afternoon crashes you may want to visit your doctor. He can prescribe you a short cycle of Hydro-cortisone pills. It should give your adrenals the break it needs to recuperate.
Remember! Sleep and proper off days
