Looking for best whey protein (isolate/concentrate combo) for the price?

Equate (Walmart brand) Isolate was just under 20 bucks for 22 servings of 30grams.
Mixed smooth and tasted good enough for me, but I’m not that picky…..

There’s some good threads on this…look for suggestions by TheSolution

On a per serving cost stand point ON 100% Gold Standard Whey always is on the top of the list imo. I agree TheSolution always has a laundry list of different protein powder options to choose from though.

I can't speak to the quality of the actual protein itself, I'm no expert, but amazon's own brand Amfit has been great for me, i got 5lbs of vanilla for £26 and some change. The taste is great IMO, texture and mixing is good too. For me there was nothing to not like about it especially value wise.

P.s. that's whey concentrate
P.p.s. add a shot of coffee to that vanilla whey and you've got a nice lunchtime pick me up

Also pbn choc hazelnut whey concentrate i got for £14 per kilo, again this was good mixing and tasty. Budget is the main concern for me so i always look for the most reasonable value whey concentrate that isn't so cheap it's guaranteed to be bland cement. Amazons been brilliant for getting decent whey at a good price for me. If i had more funds i would spend more though, optimums gold standard rocky road was delicious last time i had it!

63g of whey protein per serving but also has vitamins bcaa and 10g creatine.
I think it’s the best shake I’ve ever bought I’m not on any gear and putting on decent size With it.
That stuff is super expensive, a 7lb tub is only 6 servings, a 22lb tub is only 20 servings. It's about 4-5x the price of a regular whey product per serving

Six star makes a cheap protein powder, it's 32gm protein per serving, $25 and if you live near a Walgreens they often have it on sale for $19.99

Technically it's owned by iovate health sciences which is the company behind muscle tech, but there protein powder comes from the exact same place, the difference is in flavor profiles and added ingredients. Same quality of whey

I used the cookies and cream flavored one all the time and I like it a lot, I also almost always use a ninja blender for my shakes so it's never gritty. But I also don't find it that gritty if gritty at all with just a regular Shaker with a blender ball

what do you use?
Food lol.

I usually have a jug of that six star, a jug of a vegan protein powder that's a berry flavor and one more of the high quality protein powders that's a really good flavor of my choosing. But I use them mostly to make other foods, like pudding, ice cream ect, or mix into my oats. I only drink shakes if I'm in a rush or I need calories and I'm not hungry. I perfer to eat my calories vs. Drink them

If I had a little more time on my hands I would probably just eat all real food and never use protein powder

I'd reconsider.
Just because you are on a budget doesn't always mean the cheapest = the best product to buy. You may want to think twice.

All old issues that are resolved, they haven't had problems in years that I'm aware of. So no I don't feel the need to reconsider, and honestly protein powder makes up a small irrelevant part of my diet anyway most of the time

I'm also not trying to push this product or something. It's a cheap crappy protein powder that I feel gets the job done. That's about it, if no1 wants to use it then fine don't use it.

If the op had said, can someone tell me the best tasting high quality protein powder I would have gave a completely different answer

to be fair i havent tried it in years

I always just recommend on whey, it’s not my favorite, I don’t think it’s the cheapest you’ll find but it’s a good balance between quality and price

they should have a flavor for everyone

another option would be myprotein

Its crappy tasting on its own mixed in water, I blend it into fairlife milk and then usually use that to make puddings and ice creams or flavor my oats. So I'm altering the product quite a bit to change the taste every time I use it.

I'm not a protein powder or supplement expert, I have my list of things that I feel are very important and I spend money for high quality on those things, high quality food, high quality vitamins and minerals. I feel like protein powder and stuff like that is insignificant in the big scheme of things when it comes to reaching my goals. If I had to make protein powder a staple in my diet then I absolutely would opt for something I trusted to be unquestionably high quality and taste amazing

I do ON, but I think myprotein has a better price ratio. been a while since I checked.
MY Protein use to be good especially when they had 3-2lb bags for $30 deal but they haven't
had a good deal like that in over a year and their prices have gone up. I stick to finding protein
deals on Supplement Hunt and sometimes DPS has some good deals also once in a while All Star
Health will drastically discount a protein powder when it's 3 months from the expiration date.

My protein seem to use the sofa company model of sales promotion, they always have a sale and it only brings the product down the price it should be anyway, to buy anytime not in a sale would be madness, at least on the UK site

Totally agree that's why I ONLY shopped with them when I was getting their Impact Whey
for $10 for 2lbs, Citrulline Malate for a little under $10, and their casein protein for $25
for 5lbs but I haven't seen those deals anymore so I haven't shopped with them for over
a year.

anyone have a good recommendation for whey without sucralose? preferably stevia or real sugar/honey.

it looks like ON natural is stevia and sugar. anyone tried this recent version? I remember the old ON natural wasn't so great.

I see chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla on their site now
