Workout Energy - Full of energy at the gym.
Normal Energy - Everyday is a breeze these day. Good energy throughout.
Libido - Good again.
Joint Pains - None.
Skin - Normal skin.

I felt really good all day and I was looking forward to going to the gym. No cardio today, but I was going to try to get as much lifting in as possible. Starting with back, then go onto legs. Back and legs are volume days for me, so having energy initially helped.

On compound exercises, I went 24 sets on Rows and 15 sets on Leg Press. They were tough, but rewarding as after each set I could see the muscle separation and definition on my arms and legs. Great feeling ! I upped the weight on legs a bit from last week. I strained towards the end quite a bit, but I managed. I have not lost any strength during this run while dieting and that makes the lifting days fun.

The veins on my biceps and front shoulder are really visible on pumped state during workouts. FYI - I never had a vein show on my biceps. As the skin continues to thin out, vascularity is improving slightly every day. I don't know....having veins makes me feel strong and fit psychogically.

The goodness continues !

What a great weather we are having. Sunny day definitely brings out the energy in people. Feel like I am on vacation relaxing at the beach with energy in reserve ready to take on the night. Check that....keep the energy sans beach, water, scenery, drinks and beautiful people. Only few more weeks until beach season. I have a feeling I am going to enjoy it even more than before this year.

Went to the gym after dinner today. Dinner was satisfying, but not filling as I did not feel like drinking all the soup. Going into the gym not as bloated, I tackled the elliptical machine. I got caught up on lifting yesterday and today was the day to put forth the effort for cardio. Started out at a good pace, then picked up the pace 10 minutes in. I started to sweat profusely as I kept increasing the pace. I held onto the pace and threw in several intervals. 60 minutes in, I was on 22 cal/minute pace and I did not feel tired. Went for another 30 minutes and the reading on the machine showed 2,015 calories. (pace of over 22 cals/minutes)

I got off the machine not tired at all. I felt great and revitalized. I expected the legs to give out due to working the legs yesterday. No such thing. NO tiredness what so ever. There was 30 minutes till closing, so I went to the Chest Press and threw in 5 high volume sets of 20 reps each on low weight. I am really starting to enjoy these as I now have energy to back me up and very little lactic acid build up until much later. I am going to continue incorporating these into my workouts.

When I was changing in the locker room, I saw a prominent separation between left and right pec. Awesome !!! Another thing I have never had since high school. Waist looked leaner as well.

When I got home about 1 1/2 hours later, I started to feel DOMS on my legs - especially hamstrings. Ahhhh, finally DOMS from day before is setting in. LOVE this !

I think I will throw in a light cardio session in the AM tomorrow and stretch a bit to combat the DOMS. Doubleheader games in softball tomorrow. Crucial games that we need to win to make the playoffs or at least split.

Muscle separation - Quads and upper back are starting to show and I see signs of lats as well.
Vascularity - Veins on arms, especially forearms are getting bigger. Thin veins on front shoulder and thighs show as well.
Strength - Had some time so I tested shoulders and......success. Strength increase is legit.
Workout Energy - Good energy at the gym for both AM and PM session. Crazy energy during softball.
Normal Energy - Sports and workout all day. Felt great transitioning between workouts.
Libido - Hardest it's been during this run. Is that possible ?
Joint Pains - None.
Skin - very oily skin.

My hamstrings were tight when I woke up, so I knew I had to warm them up before the 12 PM game. I think the leg press/leg curls really helped me work them hard this week followed by a serious session of cardio. It's sunny out and it looks like warm weather is upon us. I got to the gym with OK energy and put in a workman like 60 minutes at a decent pace. My legs felt good. I was not tired and repeated what I did last week - test shoulder strength. I pyramid up to max weight of 200 lbs and pushed up 14 reps. My previous max was 13 reps. I normally pre-exhaust my shoulders with 11 sets before testing my strength. This time I only pyramided up 5 sets. Still felt great that I was able to get the weight up an extra rep. Hopefully this is a precursor to strength increase on Monday's true shoulder strength test.

Went to the cages and hit 240 balls working on my technique. Home, shower and off to softball. I ate some extra carbs like multi grain bagel to keep my energy up.

Softball was great and we went 1-1. Beat the team we should have lost to and lost to team we should have beat. I was full of energy and got a homerun purely by sprinting around the bases. I only got doubles last year on similarly hit ball. Drank 2 miller lites throughout the game and made a point to stay away from the burgers and hot dogs. Yep, the girls came out to make it a day and cooked for us while we played. Gotta love it.

Went out to dinner and this is where the calorie surplus came about. I ordered a steak burrito and they brought me a burrito that was as long as the plate. I ate only 1/5 of it then packed it to go. When I got home, I was hungry and somehow ate the rest watching a game. I felt so bad and seriously bloated.

I let it digest and ran out to them gym to catch an hour of cardio before they closed. Guilt cardio at its best. I was tired, my legs were sore, but I pushed the pace as much as I could. I got in 55 minutes before they closed. Hopefully I burned off some of the burrito I ate.
I'd bet that the burrito had at least 1500 calories.

My muscles are hard everywhere and getting defined and I definitely feel leaner. Energy is up and confidence is up. I'd say the week was a successful one even with the last night's indiscretion. One of the trainers at the gym said I was the hardest working person at the gym. I thanked him and said I am only half way there.

Oh yeah...I am down 7.2 lbs to 227.8 lbs. I don' think I am capable of big weight losses week by week. Even when I was 264 early this year, I think max I lost in a week was 4-5 weeks. I think this is OK. Slow and steady is not so bad. I did encounter a pause in weight loss before starting this log. Almost for 2 weeks. I am happy to see any weight loss and I am glad I am over the hump. Plus I think there is definitely signs of recomposition.

I know it's mother day and I would have planned ahead if I knew they were going to close early.

No worries brother today's another day! Most gyms around here are not open on Sundays. The gym I go to is open 24-7 lol love it.

Some tanning is definitely due to softball. Weather has been awesome for several weeks now.

Hell yea brother tan it up! I'm getting my farmer's tan on from golfing lol. I'm about to start tanning in a bed though get myself prepared for my honeymoon to Jamaica so my ass doesn't get fried when I'm there.

Everyone always needs that extra kick of inspiration man and its plain as day to see that you are definitely putting in the effort and it is paying off in dividends! Keep it up! LIGHT WEIGHT!!!!

Workout Energy - I took a nap before gym and it took me about 15 minutes to get going. Once I did, it was on.

Skin - Skin is still oily.

I am contemplating adding a 1 hour nap prior to going to gym. I think it is a good way to decompress, but I don't know if it will affect energy or strength. I took a 90 minute nap today and I felt great ! I went to the gym ready to go. I got there little later than normal and I knew I had to make up what I lost on Sunday due to gym closing early. I decided to lift and play volleyball and skip cardio.

The weight felt like nothing during inclines until I got to set 9. I need to put some effort in to get through sets 9 and 10. Set 11 was a bit of a struggle, but I got that up as well. Now the strength set. It felt heavy right away, but I was able to slowly put up 6 reps until my arms turned jelly. 7 reps is my high during this run. Not sure if I will hit that again soon. The overall increase is still 2 reps and I am OK with that. 2 reps in 30 days ??? Yeah, that's a nice strength increase without cheating. No arching of back. No bouncing of the weight. Just arms and chest.

I added a twist to Machine flyes. I supersetted it with Machine chest press and wow, my chest was pumped. More and more I think lower weight and higher volume is what makes me feel good physically. Played volleyball like a mad man afterwards and energy was at its high. I did have an incident where someone challenged me at the game. I play for fun and I let someone spike on my side without going up for a block. The team on the other side gave me sh1t for 10 minutes afterwards trash talking. I got very aggressive immediately and said some not nice words and spike the crap out of the ball the rest of the game and did not talk to anyone for the next 30 minutes. People stayed away from me and one person said I looked like I was ready to kill someone. I guess things have been going so well for a while that I never had any reason to get angry at anyone. However, once there was a reason, the outburst was something I am not proud of. I think the increased T-level is still there. I gotta apologize next week. I don't want to be that jerk.

I am also getting hungrier and hungrier as each day passes. I did not keep to my diet. I did not eat anything bad. I just ate more of it than I should have. This run would have been great with OEP or AT2. Gotta stay solo for 10 more days. I hope I don't binge.

Thanks JD. I think the award is contained within the responses I have received so far. Not only does it make me feel like someone is reading, but the support shown by visitors keeps my motivation up. In turn it makes me workout harder. And if you had an awesome workout, of course you want to share.

I had an 8 hour of sleep last night and had calm relaxed feeling all day today. When I got home, I had a 30 minute nap before workout. Great energy at the gym. Started with usual 60 minute cardio at a nice pace. I sweated profusely and it felt good to release all those toxins. Felt like I was in a sauna as the gym was especially humid today. This may have sapped some energy and I probably could have gone over 1300 if there was better air conditioning. What do I pay all that money for if they are not going to provide optimal workout conditions ?

After disinfecting the elliptical machine, I headed towards the shoulder press station. The first 10 sets were relatively easy. The 11th set was harder but methodical. The 12th set for 200 lbs was a success. 14 clean reps and I had the 15th rep up 1/2 way, then my arms gave up. I started to arch also, so I would not have been able to count it. That is another +1 rep since last week !!! +8 reps for this run. Did I not push myself hard enough before this run ? Well, the strength increased every week on this lift and only change was taking Licogenix ! I stripped down to 120 lbs immediately and got in another 12 reps. For Laterals, I tried 70 lbs this week and it was easy. This is 10 lb increase from last week. I don't count this as strength gain as I only use the weight I can feel throughout the complete range of motion. It did feel good to handle more weight though.

As for aggression, some guy bumped into me while I was trying to get my bearings after working the shoulders. I had to really keep my cool as I almost sprinted after the guy. This gym has a lot of rich yuppy professional types who think they own everything. Kind of guys that need to be slapped around a little. Anyway, 2nd straight day of anger/aggression incident. T level must be on the rise again. (Pure speculation) I need to watch this and really try to be calm. If this happened before starting the shoulder exercises, I may have actually gone after him. I was pretty hyped up before the first set. "serenity now, serenity now"

Another day of increased hunger and again I could not stay deficit on calorie. I also ate a bit of white rice. Not good, but at least its not sugar. Still no excuse. Thirst increased as well during workout. Found myself drinking a lot of water.

First off amazing shoulder lifts man. Strip downs got me hurting just thinking of them! 2nd of all what the hhh is 8 hours sleep? I don't think I've seen that number since being put out for my surgery lol. JK sleep is so important and to many of have few little time to sleep good enough.

Strip down is not the right term, is it ? Should have said drop set. Shoulders definitely have been the best responder during this run.

Oh 8 hours was nice. Amazingly relaxed and alert today. Gotta try that more often and stop watching sports late at night. I say this as I watch the Lakers Thunder game. LOL.

About a week to go and I pretty much know that this is going to be a staple in my supplement regimen. I have gotten more than enough positive benefits out of this and the price is definitely right. Hate to think that I will be off it for 8 weeks.

Slept really well last night and felt awesome all day. My mood was great and no one can take this alpha feeling from me. Had a great day of work and meetings are a breeze now. Great mood = great work output !

I got home and took a 1 hour nap even though I was rested. Woke up recharged, ate some lean steak and veggies in spicy sauce and I was off to gym. FYI – don’t eat spicy things right after waking up. My stomach was burning for several minutes. I thought I was going to have a terrible workout because of this. Luckily, it went away. By the way, hunger is still high and it is difficult to be on calorie deficit right now. Increased T is definitely affecting my diet.

Today is back day and back = volume. Volume = 25 sets of rows. I polished off 15 sets pretty easily, so I added 20 lbs and did 5 more sets. That wasn’t so bad so I added 20 lbs more and did 5 more sets. I don’t have a baseline for rows, so I can’t consider this a strength increase. The heavier weight did give me a different pump possibly recruiting more muscle fibers and it felt great. I could have done more rows except that my hands were killing me from the 25 sets. Finished off back exercises and finished off with 300 reps on crunch machine. (split into 20 sets)

OK, 30 minutes to closing. I was pumped up and did not want to drain my energy with cardio. I went over to the shoulder machine. I know….overtraining…..but it makes me feel so good ! I did low reps and pyramided up on weight. 180s felt really good. Let’s test out 200 lbs again. 15 reps later I jumped out of the seat ecstatic. Although I can’t really count it, it is a new PR by 1 rep. Strength increase on this lift has been amazing with Licogenix.

Insane pumps all over my upper body and I went home very content.

One observation about appearance. Veins are coming out on both biceps when exercising or flexed. Looking for veins to pop out when relaxed. I think this is definitely a possibility now.

Day 33 (5/17)

Long busy day at work today. My mind was not too much on anything else. No observations as my mind was on work only. I was mentally tired today. When I got home, I immediately took a nap. I got up 2 hours later groggy. I did not feel like lifting, so I dragged myself to the gym and decided to do cardio. I will make it up tomorrow. I did not have an overwhelming energy, but again the energy increased as I spent more time on the elliptical. Got to a nice pace and finished strong. I regretted not lifting, but there was no way to know as I entered the gym pretty dazed. Got a good sweat going as well.

Not much observation today other than I noticed that my skin was noticeably oily. I wonder if the work stress caused this.

I ate pistacios and diet pepsi all day at my desk. I am happy I did not eat junk food, but it looks like I picked up a snacking habit to combat the hunger. I also gave up the quest bars for a bit. It was starting to give me discomfort. I guess 19 grams of fiber in one serving in the morning for couple month led to this. Even Quest bars need to be cycled. LOL.

A nondiscript day. Gotta hit legs tomorrow.
