Log (4/15 to 5/14): Licogenix and nothing else (Not Sponsored)

Well that's one pitches lol. We have a good team for Friday nights. Monday league can be good or bad depending on what season. Spring for ex is rough cause a lot of players are out due to kids sports. Which I understand. We play league ball ISA rules 5 home runs in our class. Basically C class. I hit 15 hr's last year lol. Been playing 13 years straight. The last 5 years when we started playing one pitches, our team has played in all but one.

15 HRs !!! Nice.

I hit 10 in 10 games 2 years ago. Then I flied out four times in the first playoff game. I tried to change my swing after that so I hit more line drives. When I hit HRs, I hit to left center gap. Now I am grounding out to SS or popping up. I don't know what I did, but my timing is all off. I am swinging too early every time even though I get in the batters box with the thought that I need to be patient and wait. AAARRRRGGGHHH !!!
 
Day 11 (4/25)

Supplements:

Comments:
Muscle separation - Shoulder and upper chest are definitely responding first. Maybe it will happen from top to bottom.
Vascularity - I noticed little slivers of vein popping out and took a picture of it this afternoon. (Post # 91)
Strength - Did not lift today, so no comment.
Workout Energy - Good energy today. Nothing like yesterday. Sweated like crazy again. Haven't had a real rest day in a long time, so the energy I had for cardio today was good.
Normal Energy - Good energy at work. No sleepiness.
Libido - Woke up with a pitched tent. What more can I ask for.
Joint Pains - Wrist pain is completely gone. It was the heavy bag. If pain returns in other circumstances, I will re-evaluate.
Skin - Normal skin today.

Good energy, but a slow day at work. Nothing to get worked up about.
Muscle hardness is getting better and better. It feels better because skin is thinning out as well. I saw some veins relaxed and took picture of it. Who knows if it will happen again ?

Thought about switching things up a bit and headed to the courts to play tennis. Then I changed my mind and made a turn for the gym. I knew cardio would be better for me for losing weight. When things go well, I think the major thing that helps you continue on is the placebo effect. Knowing that I had Licogenix in me, I did not want to waste a day by not working out optimally. I don't drag to the gym, but make a point to go. Gotta love it when a plan comes together.

Wrist pain is completely gone. I am scratching off Licogenix as a reason for this. I hit the heavy bags for the purpose of hitting the crap out of it. in doing so, I miss hit the bag few times putting a lot of pressure on the wrists and elbows. If wrist or elbow pain returns outside of heavy bag day, then I need to re-evaluate to see if it was caused by drying effect of Licogenix.

Tomorrow is cardio/leg day I think.

Good detailed log man keep it up, personally i see no difference in your pics to date, think its early days, pics at the end of the cycle will be more telling

Nice workout brother and glad the wrist pain is gone!! Hopefully for good. Yeah we got a guy that plays here and there with us, that I hate. I love him, but hate him. Why because when you play against him he never freaking gets out. He's a big set guy that pokes the ball and I mean never ever gets out. He has perfected that shot. But when he's playing with us I love him cause he never gets out haha. I poke shot it once last year over 1st base head for the winning run was at third. It's actually hard to perfect.

Maybe, if I intend to go opposite field every time, I will naturally wait longer. My ground outs and pop ups are definitely due to swinging too early.

Just got a 30oz bat. Maybe that will make a difference vs 26oz I have been using.

Vascularity - I am going to look like packer's avatar. I am turning green !

Workout Energy - Workout energy back up ! More cardio today !
Normal Energy - Felt great at work. Had 8 hours of sleep and felt rested and ready to go all day.
Libido - Very "full" feeling. I am sorry. If you are wearing a dress or a low cut top, you will get a glance form me. Can't help it.
Joint Pains - None.
Skin - Some minor breakouts in chest and upper back. Skin feels a bit dry.

Business stress at work today and I was distracted all day. Energy wise, it was an awesome day as I felt relaxed and not tired at all.

I can't wait to weigh in this week. My clothes are much looser now and the belt does not help dress pants from looking baggy and sloppy. Going to try on some pants a size lower this weekend.

I got home and took a 2 hour nap just to get the business stress out of my mind. Woke up and went to the gym. Felt little groggy, so I did not chance lifting. Especially leg press where I wanted to load more weight this week to challenge myself. Half day work tomorrow so I will do legs tomorrow. Went on my favorite elliptical, turned on NFL draft and put in 60 minutes at a good pace. All my elliptical sessions are 60 minutes unless I state otherwise. Had good energy and a lot of sweat. I felt really warm. This has been a constant for about a week now. Maybe the gym is trying to save money by raising the temperature a little or I am getting a bit of thermogenic effect from Licogenix.

Came home, did a quick check in the mirror. All good !

I just want to state that pictures posted in the log does not show little subtle changes I am seeing. The pictures are not of high quality and I am not a photographer, so the lighting and pose may vary from week to week. However, start versus week 5 pictures should show some changes, even with bad picture quality.

Time to regroup a little mentally. Definitely want to get in a good leg workout in tomorrow. I think I am done cardio for the week as well.

I am thinking of trying something different next week. I don't mind elliptical at all, but I really enjoyed the light weight alternate back rows I did few days ago. It was non stop and after I was done all 200 reps, I was spent for the moment. Trying to develop something like this to replace cardio sessions. Maybe 10 giant sets of 200 reps. Then I can get into Punja's level of epic workouts. Nah, I will never be able to last 3 hours.

Like my hero Tony Horton says......the secret is muscle confusion !!!! LOL !

Comments:
Muscle separation - Calves are looking real good and I am seeing signs of quads.
Vascularity - I am seeing green line in my biceps. Wow, only if I could see veins on my biceps at the end of this run.
Strength - Felt strong. Went all out on Leg Press.
Workout Energy - I started my workout at 11:30 PM. No problems with energy.
Normal Energy - Felt good all day. No lethargy or sleepiness. I am getting normal sleep in.
Libido - Still at a high level. Everything is good !
Joint Pains - None.
Skin - Skin dryness is gone. Back to normal.

My second leg workout of this run so I tried to pay more attention there. My legs thinned out little bit during my weight loss run earlier. I would love to add a bit of muscle without it getting bulky. I am seeing some signs of quads showing up. It was definitely there during workout. Not too bad with separation at home just flexing it. Calves are my strong part and the cut is starting to come back. Shape is definitely there already.

I try not to push too hard on legs and add too much weight. I rather go volume and not risk injury. I went a little too safe last week going at 230 lbs for leg press. My goal this week was to add a bit more weight. Started off at 180 to warm up the legs for 8 sets. Upped it to 270 for 6 sets to see how it felt. No problems. Some struggle in the last 3 sets. Could I have added another 90 ? maybe. I added 50 to make it 320 for the last set. Well, I got through 15, then did 15 more for a total of 30 reps. I guess I better add more weight next week. My legs were pumped and hard as a rock. I had difficulty walking, so instead of jumping to extention and curls, I decided to rest it.

Note: I wouldn't really call this strength gain versus last week as my baseline was very low. However, I know my legs were tired before I started the last set. I built up muscle endurance on my upper body doing 10 set per compound exercise routine. I was surprised that I had endurance on my legs since this is really my second leg workout this year. The last set of 30 was a happy moment. I will push for more next week, but will not exceed 360 lbs. From there I will just try to do more reps each week.

Wanted to keep the heart rate up, but did not feel like elliptical today. I made up a routine.

Alternate back rows on hammer strength (10 sets per arm) for 10 reps at low weight, then jumped to pulldowns and HS dips for low weight for 8 reps each super setting for 10 giant sets. THIS was fun. My heart was racing like crazy and my arms felt like jelly. I may try to do more of this as a replacement for cardio. However, I can only do it when the gym is empty.

I got back to legs and finished off extentions and curls for 10 sets each at a low weight. (My legs were still very weak from presses)

This was a fun workout and I am enjoying working the legs again.

Still no joint pains, but I don't think I am susceptible to that. I guess I don't dry out as much, which is a shame.

Also with the joints Licogenix works as a natural anti-inflammatory, so this could play a big part of no joint pain.

Busy day today and did not do any mirror watching to check myself out nor check my arms and legs for veins. Sun was out and it was beautiful outside. Great day for softball.

Day started off with morning cardio. When I got to gym, I was full of energy already. I got myself going on elliptical and went on a pace faster than I have ever gone before. The energy was almost sick. Puddles of sweat everywhere and me looking ridiculous going nuts on the elliptical machine. This older lady next to me kept looking over. This time, I know it was because I sweating so much. As you can see by the calorie burned number, the effort was at least 8% higher than anytime before on a 60 min session. Since being on Licogenix, I have not had any low energy workout days. I am loving it. Workouts are so much fun when you have energy.

I got home and took a long hot shower to let my body relax a bit. I took a nap to rest up before the game.

The softball game was very active. Lot of played on 3rd and I hit some bombs that I had to run out. A lot of energy and I felt great throughout the game.

I usually don't talk about food on the log, but this time I have to. The girls had a cookout for the softball team and I indulged. We were all in such a good mood and wanted to have a good time. The damage is that I ate 2 hot dogs and a hamburger. I also drank 5 beers. This is around 2000 excess calories. I haven't eaten a hamburger in a long time and wow, it tasted so good. This was a real cheat day. I hope I don't bloat up too much for the pictures. Oh well, what can I do. This was bound to have happened. I just need to get back on track.

Strength - Felt strong but had no aggression during lifting. Got 1 more reps out of HS Inclines Press vs last week.
Workout Energy - Another sick energy day at the gym in the morning. Tried to match 1363 from yesterdays cardio. Got 1334. Not bad at all. A lot of sweating again. Energy was only OK at night during lifting. Also had no aggression. My body and mind are probably drained from all this activity without rest.
Normal Energy - Another great night of sleep. Fully rested and relaxed today.
Libido - Morning "effects" present for 15th consecutive day.
Joint Pains - None at all.
Skin - Bit oily again.

Ding, ding, ding. Finally I see some weight loss. Over 3 lbs this week. I can't even imagine what it would have been if I did not cheat on Saturday. I was under 230 for couple days mid-week, so if I repeat what I did this week and stay off the beer and hamburgers and hot dogs, I may see another nice weight loss. We shall see. I am very happy at this moment. Come on 230.

I am not sure pictures will show too much 2 weeks in, but my clothes are definitely looser and I had to unpack my locker to get more clothes out. I did not feel the bloat all week and muscle separation shows nicely in fitted clothes. Received a nice comment from a co-worker when I was moving tables for a meeting. More motivation !

Energy has been unreal during this run. No lack of energy at anytime. This is a nice effect I did not count on, but very much appreciate. Workouts are fun when you have energy. (Sorry, I know I said this yesterday, but I felt like I had reiterate. Energy increase during workouts have been that good.)

Strength have been going up on measurable lifts and I feel strong during leg and back exercises as well. Since I train in volume for same lifts, I can say that muscle endurance has been going up as well as strength. For today, I got another clean rep out of HS Incline Chest Press. Tried for another, but the weight only moved up enough to be counted in "Sri Chinmoy's" realm.

Had a chance to "perform" all week this week and the results left me and my GF smiling.

Weight loss was great and mirror check shows I am looking leaner. Two weeks in and I am very happy with the results so far. With almost all supplements, the effects seem to stablize for me at about 3-4 week mark. I am curious to see if that happens with Licogenix. Stay tuned. In 2-3 weeks, we may have an answer.

Strength - I thought I was going to struggle as the workout started off slow with the elliptical. well, the strength was there and then some. I pushed up 12 reps clean. Got the iceps gave out. Stripped down to 120s and pushed up 12 more. Initial 12 and the 12 after stripping the weight are each 3 reps more than last week.
Workout Energy - Energy was low and struggled for the first time today. My leg muscles were sore and they just did not want to move. They are all rebelling against the elliptical.
Normal Energy - I stayed up watching the NBA playoffs. Wow, what a finish in the Clipper's game. Got little sleep (4 1/2 hours) and made it through the day OK. I was tired, but did not feel like falling asleep.
Libido - You are my best friend. Always staying up and waiting for me to get up.
Joint Pains - None.
Skin - Here they come. Small pimples all over my face. Skin is oily as well.

My face is breaking out, my strength is increasing, libido is great and I feel aggressive at the gym. Yes, I believe my T-level is up and maintaining that level. Licogenix is working more like a T-booster for me, but it is not bloating me like a T-booster normally does.

At the gym, I struggled on elliptical for the first time. I had to push to get through the last 30 minutes. My pace was noticeably slower as well. Had to see this coming ....no ? I have not had a rest day in a while ! I am trying to throw one in, but I can't get myself to. When i got to the shoulder press after elliptical, I sort of dreaded it. I knew my energy was low, so I was not looking forward to the 22 sets awaiting me. As I finished each set off, no aggression, no burst of energy....just steady methodical lifting. One set after another. Where is that sticking point ? I got to my last set thinking....wow, that was not bad at all ! Still did not have high energy, but I was ready to tackle that last set. One, two, three,......eight, nine,....ten, eleven, twelve ! I beat the previous mark by 3 reps. This is also 6 reps more than my PR before starting Licogenix. Lets finish the shoulders off ! Stripped 80 lbs and repped out 12 more for total of 24 reps on the final set. My shoulders were ready to burst.

I felt great and I wanted to maintain the pump. I went to the crossfit rope station and threw in 4 sets of 30 seconds of battling ropes - alternating whips. My whole upper body was now on fire....I am ready for volleyball !

I am loving the strength gains and the whole experience of going to the gym a lot more than ever before.

U need safe foods like cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, straight whey... Just clean protein calories that won't cause fat gain and cAn spike metabolism.

That's 2 weeks folks. I am comfortable with where I am right now. I have to keep telling myself that for pictures of this quality, you may not see noticeable difference until end of the 5 week run. Staying positive knowing that clothes are looser and I am getting stronger.

Short update today guys. I did nothing. I got home with all the intention of going to the gym for a back workout. On my way home, I stopped off at batting cages and in my undershirt and dress slacks with sneakers on, I went 7 rounds of 20 pitches. Yeah, I didn't care what people thought. I still have that alpha feeling. A real good session as I worked on staying back and leveling off more.

When I got home, I ate 2 steamed chicken breasts with Emeril's honey mustard. Did not have any veggie prepared, so I grabbed a mid size banana. After dinner, I laid down for a quick nap, which turned into a 2 hour nap. When I got up, I was groggy and decided not to go to the gym. No checking mirror....nothing. I laid in my bed for another hour watching the NHL playoffs. A real non-activity day. I think my body needed it.

Gotta get back in tomorrow or everything will snowball. Going to sleep early and recharge again.

I bought a 30 oz Salvo last week and had my best game hitting the ball. I drove a couple real deep with one passing the 300 ft marker.
It has a slight end load, but it swings real smooth and lighter than most 30 oz bat. I loved it.

I was fine this morning until I drank Diet Pepsi. Now I feel like George Constanza and want to find a quiet place to take a nap.

I have noticed this for about a month now when taking in caffeine - morning or midday.

I know I do not sleep a lot but the effect starts right after I drink caffeine.

Yes. I did overuse stims on many occasions.

Yea. Personally on times of heavy stim use, when I take another dose or drink like coffee or something I get super tired.. Could be adrenal fatigue n the bodies way of protecting itself.. Again, purely speculation I'm not scientist lol

Could be true. Although I have not been using stuns heavily recently. Maybe it's just the effect of not having enough sleep and everything else just snowballing.
