I cant seem to go ass to the grass. I've pushed 485 before, but cant get pass parallel. Tight hip flexors? Stance?

Could be hip flexors, ankle mobility/tight calves is what I see from most.

In order to get perfect form I dropped from 275 half squats to 95 full squats, nice and slow, feeling out the muscle and back positioning, and am working my way back up slowly.
Doing the same with my deads now too.

It'll most likely be hip flexors if depth is the issue. The ankle has more of a role if the hips shoot up prematurely, the upper back rounds, or the heel elevates.

If the ankle is an issue, Oly shoes make a HUGE difference. Dude I train with finally bought a pair after I've been harping on him to do so and he's added weight and reps to his squat. He went from a 633 meet squat in April to doing 675x2 in training two weeks ago.

I've gotten down to the point my glutes were shredded with only albuterol before. Now granted I did lose a lot of muscle doing it but it is possible to get that lean.

I totally get what you're saying. Albuterol isn't natural but not bad if that's all you used. Not bad at all

Yeah I'm on it now and its awesome. My cardio and heart "feels" so much more high performance.

I like that its mild, even at 8mg X 2. I have toggled it with EC and its workin pretty well. Helps retain mass I think.

I can't believe I missed this. I measured my arms at 19 inches at 220 and I'm 5'10 so the OP definitely never sees leg day lol.

Well I tried 405 last week, Jbry. I stopped parallel and needed a slight bump, maybe 5-10lbs or so from my spotter.

I didnt have enough calories that day though, glycogen was low and I wasnt on a preworkout. I estimate that under those conditions, I could have done 385lbs with proper form that day. Also, the last time I got it I was about 173lbs, now I'm down to 167-168ish since cutting.

I believe I can give u a good 315lbs A2G, at least 1 rep, maybe up to 3 or 4.

Hey guys been a while since I posted here are the most recent pics of me within a weeks time, however I have searched and searched and searched and everyone seems to think that liquid caber is unstable yet most of the posts I read nobody has even willingly tried it just because of bro-knowledge internet rumors. I've been around for years and have learned alt from you guys but what I've also learned is that there are trolls who will hate every product even if it's great! So I spent some cash close to 100 bux for some liquid caber not sure if I can post a research chem source name so I won't. Anywho I'm going to do the first legit log on liquid caber I've actually seen a study where it says it's just as stable as tablet form. So my question is has anyone successfully used liquid caber everywhere I read is just trolling and never a straight answer.

My butt was just inches from the floor for 295x6 reps. By the way my garage is not still a mess like that and the old car is gone. Don't judge me! LOL

U were close to parallel...honestly, a2g is just for braggin rights. If I want to engage my gluts and hams more then I just stack the weights on a leg press machine and go deep enough to roll my butt off the pad. Same efffect but much safer, ime. The absolute worst type of squat is middle-of-the-road squats, never recoiling at the bottom but never locking out up top. 60% of ur 1RM will own u on that type, lol.

My best was on day 1 of StenZine last December. I did 315 X 15 hitting parallel. Granted, I weighed about 3lbs more then too and in a strong caloric surplus, which makes a 10% difference on my capabilities.

When I start up DMZ, I'll give u guys 315 X 10 for some a2g's.

While on squat numbers I hit an ATG 365 front squat which is a PR.

Then my ****ing knee popped doing lunges right after and is swollen as all hell
 
Nice work JD, and that should be money. I have a vid of me doing 305x17 parralel somewhere around that i did for a 1.5 x body weight squat promo a little while back. I was pretty happy with that performance.

Thanks man!At one time we were trying to work up to sets of 315x15. Never got there before I changed my routine, I think I might of gotten 3 set of 10. 305x17 would have me winded!!! haha

Is there a great benefit for going ATG on squats?
I usually try for parallel or maaaybe a little below if I'm on my lighter weight days..

Better leg development IMO, and stopping at parallel can put more strain on your knees

Parallel requires more PC strength compared to ATG. True parallel (e.g. top of knee parallel with hip) is really all you need when it comes to squats as far as depth goes. You can get more complicated with bar positioning and stance width, but that's another discussion.

I agree. I'd much rather just go parallel if it means I can more safely press higher reps..

Trying to get as much as I can from these compound lifts.
Always making sure my abs are tight while squatting and deadlifting is hard already.

Yesterday I kind of hurt my lower back while squatting.. How I don't know I had proper form. I hit the safety on one side as I was squatting on my first set and it kind of threw me off.
Some douche was bench pressing in the squat rack I normally use so I had to use the one where the safety can't be changed maybe that's what did it.
 
Guy was benching in a squat rack or a power rack/cage? If he was by himself benching in a power rack that makes him intelligent not a douche. If he was benching in a squat rack he must have very long arms or was doing incline. ;)

Sounds like you are assuming your form was good but if you hit only 1 side of the squat rack with the bar then you were off balance so form or initial set up must not have been correct. Doesn't take much of an imbalance to tweak your back.

I just figured the bar might have been a little off center on my shoulders.. I hate using that machine. I always work out by myself so there is no one to check me either so yea I assume my form is correct but being on the football team in high school and having trainers constantly teaching us form taught me the importance of proper form and I strive for form over higher weight.

Yeah more than likely just an inch or so off center in your initial bar placement. Can create a decent amount of force just being a tiny bit off balance. When I line up I put my fingers on the rings then center up. I push up on the bar slowly at first and if one side breaks before the other I put it down recenter. I have done what you did a few times myself. I really hate working in the fixed squat rack because the safety is always to high so when I go deep in the bucket the bar sometimes touches and I hate that. Completely throws me off.
